A friend just informed me that she traded some of her time share points for Orlando and will be going on Saturday. She has NO plan whatsoever. She has two girls ages 3 and 1 1/2. She thought she was staying at a Disney World Resort but when she told me the name of the hotel I was sure it wasn't inside Disney World. Must be on I-Drive. Can't imagine taking my family with so little prep myself but to each his own. I'm sure many can't imagine preparing as much as I do either. Anyway, since she is going to the place of my obsession I'd like to do something a little special for her w/o shoving DW down her throat.

I am going to let her borrow my Unofficial Guide to DW 2008 but will probably not have much time to read it. I am going to print out best days from touringplans so she can get a good idea of which parks to visit. I would also like to do something small that will make their vacation a little more magical. I was thinking of sending some little trinkets to their hotel from "tinkerbell" or something. I don't want to spend too much money. Any ideas?:confused3

This is a toughy. Will they be there after dark? If so, you could purchase light sticks or bracelets for the girls..I'm not sure you could get stuff there fast enough unless you have a place that does deliver gifts, but that would be a little expensive. Are they staying over for more than one night? Maybe a disposible camera for all those magical moments:) Good luck and I know how I have been planning....tons of info and special shirts and invitations....

Good ideas, thanks. I like the idea of glow sticks. I'm sure she will not bring anything like that.

Any more ideas.:confused3

Glow sticks are a great idea! Sticks.. bracelets.. earrings.. etc. There's all sorts of stuff available now that won't have to cost a lot.

I also would go to a local dollar store and pick up a notebook.. stickers.. character pens/pencils.. inflateable beach ball for the pool..

Have fun and I think you're a great person for wanting to make their time more magical.

Make sure she knows about Character Meetings and maybe give her ideas for a homemade autograph book-if you can't get one to her.My biggest suggestion is the laundry thing! But, she may have a w&d where she's staying, hmmmm? I am in a quandry-I too am a planner--this is throwing me!! OH! Tell her about photopass so SHE can be in some family pics! I think at this point just lots of good tips will be what helps the most.

Just a tip.A first time visitor with no clue may be very intimidated by the unofficial guide.I lent my neighbor both Birnbaums and the Unofficial guide and she freaked with the Unoff. guide.Told me that Disney groupies are off their nut:lmao: and it is too much info for a first timer. She loved Birnbaums guide.
