Hello, My family and myself are leaving for Disney World on November 26th for a week. We are staying at POP and was thinking of doing or setting up something romantic for my wife. This has been a childhood dream for my wife to visit Disney World and I would like to surprise her with something. She looks after our 9 month old daughter all day long and she deserves something nice.

My thoughts were possibly checking out of POP and checking into a nice resort for the last few days that we are there. Nothing to expensive. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on resorts or hotels.

Or perhaps I could have some flowers, wine and a Disney boquet of some sort in our room prior to check in.

Has anyone ever done this sort thing?

Thanks in advance,
Ukie Mouse.

The Disney florist does a beautiful job with floral arrangements. They have a website here, if you want to check it out. They can do custom baskets for you as well. They'll deliver it to your room after you check-in. Unfortunately, they can't have anything waiting in the room for you.

An upgrade would be nice, but could be more stressful to have to pack up and move. Maybe you could book her a spa treatment at the Mandara (Swan/Dolphin) resort. I'm guessing that you are travelling with your baby as well, so a romantic dinner for 2 somewhere is probably not an option for this trip. A fireworks cruise to view Wishes is another romantic option, even with your daughter. I've seen guests bring their strollers right onto the pontoon boats, and you can arrange for a bottle of champagne or wine.

There are private carriage rides or the sleigh ride at the WL during the X-Mas Holidays

While we were at Dinner, my DH had Disney Florist come a put a beautiful arrangement in our room. It was for my birthday, but for you it still would be romantic. It was so special walking into our room and seeing the flowers on the table waiting for me! You should check out their web-site.

Do you already have all your dining reservations for the time you are there? if not you are both going to be terribly disappointed. If you DO want to upgrade your hotel try Port Orleans Riverside or Port Orleans French Quarter they are moderates and romatic in feel. But as stated you might not be able to get anything there at this date. They also have a carriage ride at POR that you can book.

my husband surprised me on our 5 year anniversary this past July. We went to POR and walked out back to the marina where a horse drawn carriage was waiting for us. I thought that was the big surprise, but it got better! The coachmen said "I believe the princess lost her glass slipper". I looked down and there was a glass slipper on a bed of flowers. We took the slipper to one of the glass shops and had it engraved. WONDERFUL!!! He said that disney florist took care of the arrangements and that they were great to work with. Good luck!

A horse drawn carriage ride at POR is something really sweet to do... You can bring some champagne w/ you on the ride and take some really nice pictures...
Horse & driver are as sweet as can be too! :goodvibes

I must say that the floral arrangements at Disney and the GF are beautiful. Perhaps flowers or a carriage ride.

WOW! Let me just say that I think you are doing something very sweet for your wife, and being a wife and mother myself, I know she will be touched! I like the idea of having something waiting for her in the room! I also like the carriage ride idea at POR. It is really very pretty at night!

omg how awesome! I arranged a carriage ride at POR for me and my fiance (at the time) and surprised HIM with it! It was really nice and he loved it and it was a good way for us to have a moment alone the night before our wedding (away from our families!)..

just remember to bring your camera or maybe do something special like the glass slipper idea here or bring her flowers or feed her chocolates (mm) along the way.

the carriage rides are so romantic with the "clippity clop" of the horses on the path... good luck and let us know how it turned out!

I took my wife on a fire works cruise on a previous trip and she LOVED it, They will also provide food for the boat if you ask!

Does your wife like pearls? This is what DH did that was really romantic. We went to a pick a pearl place-he picked the oyster (thus the pearl), he had me pick the setting, and we had a ring made. I hadn't gotten an engagement ring when we got married, so this serves in its place, 25 years later. You could do that with a necklace or some other piece of jewelry too.

Thank you to each and everyone of you for the wonderful ideas. This has helped alot, and I have decided on getting something from Disney Florist.

I hope everyone has a very happy and magical holiday season...
