Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue!

Something old: My great grandmothers pearls (borrowed from my mom)
Something new: my dress
Something borrowed: My great grandmothers pearls (can you use something twice?
Something blue: My great-great grandmothers sapphire engagement ring that my aunt gave me for xmas this year! I wear it everyday!

Thats a great question, can you use something twice??? help! I'll need something older or borroweder!!

You guys have given me a few ideas.

I love your blue garter figmentcookie and Princessbride010103 i love the idea of wraping part of your mums wedding dress around your bouquet. Real unique.

The new bit is easy. I'm finding it hard to know what to 'borrow' off someone. Lol x

For my something blue, I am wearing a Mickey Mouse pin that I found on Ebay. It is the outline of just his head, but the rhinestones are all blue.

Don't know about the others yet.. I think my dad is giving me a coin for my something old.

Even though our Wedding is a few months away I've been trying to think of this as well.

Something Old - Not a clue since there really hasn't been much of anything to pass down in my family.

Something New - My dress, shoes and all that.

Something Borrowed - I don't have the slightest.

Something Blue - Larry just pointed out that since my ring is blue that can be my blue. He thinks it could also fit the old since the stone is from the earth and must be old to have been formed. I told him that I'm not so sure about that one.

What is something to borrow that doesn't come from family? And I don't know anyone else who has gotten married lately.

Thanks! I got it online and they still have them. I can let you know where it's from if you want :)

Old: I keep telling people it was my husband since we technically were already married (married a few months prior to get the immigration process going)!! I wore a garter that day and I wore that again. I also had my Grandmothers ring and locket.
New: Usual suspects of dress, shoes, tiara, earrings, necklace
Borrowed: Grandmothers ring.
Blue: Grandmothers ring was also blue sapphire...blue flip flops, bright blue underwear, blue roses in my bouquet and blue crystals in there too.

I made sure I had everything in there but you are also supposed to have a sixpence for your shoe...which my BM had for me and we forgot about. Uh oh. :scared1:

My ideas for my own would be...

Old - Probably just jewelry or something from my mom/nana/etc
New - My dress, of course!
Borrowed - Underwear! Just kidding... Maybe I'll borrow some nice jewelry again. Haha.
Blue - Well, I know that our colors are going to be brown/blue, so this shouldn't be too hard! Haha.

Old- My grandmothers wedding ring [on my right hand]
New- My Dress!
Borrowed- DF great grandmothers hankie [sentimental value to FMIL] & My moms pearl earrings
Blue- My garter

Old -- Magic Hanky -- it was the bonnet I wore at my christeneing but you snip out a few stitches and remove the ribbons and poof -- wedding day hanky.
New -- My dress, my shoes, all that fun stuff.
Borrowed -- Mum said she'll lend me something before I go down the aisle -- heaven knows what though!
Blue -- my ring is blue since I didn't want a diamond

Figmentcookie -- that crack abotu someone else's underwear cracked me up cause I just read a book by a wedding photographer where she was at one wedding and the bride was convinced her undies were visible so she made everyone else give her their's to see if it would show. One bridesmaid refused and they had a fight and she finally gave in. It was hilarious! And you post reminded me of that. I couldn't believe the 'maid gave in. I wouldn't! I don't like anyone enough to give them my underwear!
