Something new is being built at Animal Kingdom

So I was on Google earth, which is a Satellite program that gives you a birds eye view of the world (http://earth.google.com) and just behind Everest in Animal Kingdom there is some kind of big construction area. It looks like they are building something new there.

I am not sure what it is, but I have my ear to the ground and once I hear something I will be sure to let everyone know!

The pictures aren't live. The area that is being built is the Theatre in the Wild. If you go to Animal Kingdom now and go to Everest, you can see the big theatre that is much more advanced than the photos show above. Finding Nemo will be the show that is in the theatre.

The finding nemo Show is South of Everest picture in the old Tarzan rocks area, the work being done in this picture is North-West of Everest, and is double the size of the Everest project. So it's not the Theatre in the Wild project. I could see that being built when I was down in AK a couple of months ago.

Because of the size of the construction area I don't think it's a restaurant.

Ok, I am downloading google earth, how do I find disney on it. Do I type in an address, or something? I would love to see epcot and the castle! Thanks!

On Local.Live ( no need to download anything) it just show it as a staging stoage area for park maint.

In addition to the T-Rex concept, Landry's has acquired the majority interest in Schussler Creative's new Asian themed eatery (which is expected to open by summer 2007) inside Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. This Asian-themed restaurant with retail is reminiscent of the western Himalayan foothills in India and Nepal, featuring a rural village called Anandapur in a jungle with a tiny town-like mass at its center. Asia will offer full service table dining, as well as quick service food. This Asian-Fusion concept will feature Asian decor, complete with Asian antiques, as well as a retail component that will offer Asian goods ranging from Sushi plates to chopsticks and fine teapots.

Type in Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom and you can move around from there.

the pics of the animal kingdom are very old it shows mount everest still under costrucion and the road it shows is the new road into disney that comes out past boardwalk befor downtown disney

belle1627 was right, they are building a new Asian Themed Marketplace and a couple of asian themed restaurant. I was talking to a friend of mine who worked in AK and he confirmed it for me!
