I have a friend who is traveling the week of Thansgiving. There are no Christmas parties, and she asked the CM why. The CM said, "Oh, they are planning for something that will be happening the week you are here. You'll find out what it is when you get here." Anyone know what she is talking about?

I always assumed there were no Christmas parties Thanksgiving week because the MK was open late every night.

They have always been able to attend in the past. And, if she's talking about the Christmas parade, that is no big secret and usually the week following.

I haven't been to WDW the Sunday-Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but I've been there many times that weekend, and there are no Christmas parties Thanksgiving weekend. The Christmas Parade at the MK doesn't start until the week before Christmas.

*ETA - There's a Christmas Party on Sunday, Nov. 29 - at the end of the holiday weekend. That Sunday is the beginning of value season. I don't think the Christmas parade runs daily until after the last Christmas party on Dec. 18.
