Something I would defintely do different next time...

Those of you who posted about ebags I was looking at a few of them, how much can you get in each of the sizes? Also how many of them fit in a suitcase? Thanks

That is my question too... how do I fit a whole outfit in a ziplock? The cubes would be great, but I don't wish to spend the extra money right now, so the largest ziplocks are gallon right?:surfweb:

Some stores carry 2.5 gallon ziploc bags, but they are a little pricey. I think there are maybe 12 in a box.

We use 1 gallon, 1.25 gallon(when we can find them), and 2 gallon bags when traveling. I will say this has saved us on more than one occasion when our luggage has come to us extremely wet from rain. I'm not talking a light rain, but a downpour. This past spring is a good example. After we landed in Orlando, the skies opened up and it poured. When our luggage got to us at the resort, it felt slightly damp on the outside but one of them was very, very wet inside. Most likely the rain got in around the zippers. We had to take everything out of it so it could start to air dry. Anyways, thankfully the clothes in that suitcase were dry because of ziplocs they were in. Two days later when we left for our cruise, the inside of the suitcase was just about dry - ended up using a hair dryer to finish the job.

I also have the 2 gallon bags. We store them in our suitcases and use them over and over because they are a little costly.

I also love that our stuff is protected from weather and also from random bottles of shampoo, toothpaste, etc... (which I also put in ziploc bags)

I have never packed jeans and such though as we travel in the summer.

I always pack clothes as outfits, but have never considered placing them in plastic bags!! I guess I can't see how the clothes would get any more wrinkled in the bags than in the suitcase if the bag is large enough. I didn't even know they made 2 gallon size baggies. I will have to keep my eye out! ;) And adding the hair bows! PRICELESS! I usually just pack them all to make sure I don't forget any. Takes up half a carryon size bag. LOL:cool1: I know what I'm doing from now on! :lmao:

Ziploc brand makes 2 gallon freezer bags and Hefty brand makes 2.5 gallon storage/freezer bags. Given the choice, we prefer the 2 gallon(smart zip seal)over the 2.5 gallon because we have had issues with the one zip slider on the 2.5 gallon bags at times.
