Something I just noticed about the characters

I was watching my brother's video of Mickey's show at the castle and I noticed that all the character's eyes blink. Now, it's been almost a year since we've been but I never noticed their eyes blinking. I may not have paid enough attention though. Have they changed them just for the show or do all the characters even at the meals have blinking eyes?

There has been a recent upgrade in many of the character costumes, may include blinking eyes, didn't notice them, but could have been.

they did upgrade the characters in Dream Along with Mickey, their lips move and eyes blink. Now Captain Hook and Mr. Smee are face characters.

Are the changes only for the show?

yes, only in the show. it changed in Jan 07 (they didn't do those things when the show started) i believe

it doesn't photograph too well.

I love the new Dream Along with Mickey show, and how they actually have made the characters talk and blink!

I've also heard that the reason why they cannot replicate the blinking for meet and greets is because the machinery is much too loud. I don't know how accurate that is, but it certainly makes sense to me. I remember my talking Mickey Doll as a child made the funniest whirring sound when his mouth and eyes moved.

how about the fact that they can't actually talk in meet & greets?

also, the blinking and mouths are controlled by their fingers, which could get awfully awkward, especially when signing autographs

Yeah, the new technology first started to be used in Jan 2007. It wasn't used when the show first opened in Oct.
