DW Lauri and I are preparing to go to WDW in September for the pin event. I've been watching airtran.com like a hawk hoping the rates might drop a bit more for the direct flights to MCO out of Newport News.
This morning I got an e-mail from Orbitz that mentioned flights to Florida for under $125. I checked it out and they had flights from Richmond (RIC) to MCO for $100 per person round trip.
Richmond is very pricey to fly in and out of -- no discount airlines like Airtran or Southwest.
Then the Richmond paper had an ad from USAirways -- Richmond to Orlando for $39 per person one way. Unfortunately the return we were looking at sold out by this evening at that rate, but the Orbitz rate was still there, so we grabbed it.
Including taxes and fee to Orbitz, two people RT from Richmond to Orlando -- $210.00
Moral of the story -- not all spam is bad?
