Something Different, Somewhere Else, with Babies- A DEC 2010 PTR

What a great PTR! :) I definitely prefer not planning out our trips in detail. I usually just figure out a rough idea of which parks on which days and we're even flexible with that since we usually get park hoppers. Since our trip in December is with DW's family and we're going at a super-busy time, I felt like I needed to put more thought into it. Still, you're right that it's about having fun. Our basic plan is still to go to a park and then do what we feel like doing. :)

We will have to try getting fudge to treat our post-Disney blues!

HI PirateKate!!

Sometimes I"m not the best at following links, so it doesn't surprise me I missed this after you posted on my TR!

Anyway, I have to say, you have simply the most adorable family!! Looking forward to hearing about more of your plans. :goodvibes

:welcome: Thanks for joining in! Sounds like you all tour about like we do. :thumbsup2 It probably would be more important to plan carefully during the busy seasons. We seldom go when it is truly crowded, so we haven't had to worry about it much. I guess it helps that we go so often, too. Anything we don't get to do is no big deal, since we can just do it next time.

:welcome: Hi, Liesa! Considering all the people posting on your TR, I would be very surprised if you were able to keep up with everyone's links.:rotfl:

Thanks! My boys keep me pretty busy, but they are so worth it. From what I hear from other moms, they are two easy babies, so that is good. Sort of makes the days when Landon dumps an entire box of cornstarch on his head and Carter asks to read the same book twenty times in row easier to take. :rotfl2:

Loving your PTR so far! Just so you know, you can sometimes stay at the same resort instead of switching. We did this one time at POP. We were suppose to switch to All Stars as well, but when I checked in I explained the situation to them and they checked and were able to keep up in the same room, at the same rate for the entire stay. We didn't have to switch at all. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Hi! Welcome to my PTR! Thanks for telling me about not switching resorts. We will definitely ask if we can keep our room now. That would be so much more convenient than packing up and moving to All Stars. I will try not to get my hopes up too much, since it looks like Disney is pretty booked that week, but it certainly would not hurt to ask. :thumbsup2

:lmao: Love your alternative uses for the luggage tags.

Thanks! I probably had way too much fun with them. :rotfl:

May is a wonderful time to visit! I loved the Flower & Garden Festival. :flower3:

SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!! :dance3::dance3:

Anyway, I agree - evening at the parks is the most magical!

I guess it must have been a long wait for the ferry. I don't remember caring, though. We like the ferry, even though it takes a lot longer than the Monorail.

I enjoy the ferry as well. It's very peaceful and relaxing.

I give you credit for taking a baby and a 6 week old to the parks. When I first read that I imagined you having a lot setbacks, but it sounds like everything went smoothly! :worship:
I bet you guys are getting so excited at this point. I used to work with children your oldest son's age and they become so cheerful when they know something great is about to happen. I can only imagine the emotions and expressions he'll have during this trip!

Single Digits!! I hadn't even realized it yet! :woohoo:

We did have a very easy time with the boys. I had gone several times with my niece and nephew as babies, so I had a fairly realistic idea of what to expect. :thumbsup2

We are getting so excited. I tell Carter sometimes that we are going back to Disney World. I know he probably doesn't really know what it means, but I always say it with much enthusiasm, so I always get a smile out of him. It was really fun to watch him seeing Disney last time. I bet it will be even better this time!

What a great place to get a 1st haircut and what a perfect way to celebrate!
