I know. They're not the hard stuff though. It's what I take on a daily basis kinda like a maintenance drug. I normally take 2 at a time, so it's not like I'm flying high or anything. hi, haven't had time to read thru thread, i'll just be lurking for awhile...my mom fell (again) on Monday am (spidey senses were telling me it was going to be a dosey of a day and it was). They still aren't sure if she's broken anything or not after ruling out hips & pelvis are now thinking knee & it's up for exam today.

Okay...so, she's "in the joint" till Friday...gives you some time to prepare for her homecoming and rest up. What was she doing when she fell? Did she fall inside on carpet? I KNEW you NOT being around yesterday wasn't good.....just thought you were stuck on the wrong side of the bed still

I think it's a good thing if they can't find anything broken....but, good to still be tested.....

We now have a special place at Margaritaville for our "I was here in ...". I'll post pics later.

Trip was great except for the 5 hour flight yesterday that was supposed to be just over 2. Stupid thunderstorms kept us all sitting in the airplane on the tarmac waiting to leave for over 2 hours.

i HATE that...and MCO is bad for that...if you're on the plane and lightening is spotted within 10 miles, you are sitting! ugh....

Our portofino suite was lovely (no special upgrades or even any response to our email request for villa). We had a pool view and were very happy with the room. The weather was usually in the seventies. Parks weren't busy and we got to do everything.

sorry no "sweet" upgrade this time...but, still got a nice room!

The Pirates and Princess party was a lot of fun and not crowded. The biggest surprise was the number of adult females dressed up as pirate wenches. My son labelled them the "yo ho's".

We stayed at the AKL which we won't do again. What a huge waste of money that was. The room was so small (no way to fit 5 people in that room!) and we paid over $350/night. The toilet ran continuously all night which was annoying so it always sounded like someone was showering. The resort was nice enough. Disney's magical express lost our information but that worked out fine. They picked the kids up 4 hours before their flight going back which was pretty silly considering you don't go through customs in Orlando to get to Toronto.

oh well....live and learn Sorry your stay at AK stank...but, I'm still game for pix And, guess ME picks you up at THEIR convenience schedule....another reason I won't use them....I don't like waiting on someone else schedule...I do that for a living.... if i'm on vacation....I'm doing stuff at MY pace

At Royal Pacific we had a King Suite (room 1201). It overlooked the jungly area in the front and was fine. We got our welcome gift the night before we left and only after having to remind them. We had gotten our welcome gift at Portofino the first night. The little gifts at turndown at RPR were nice and the chocolates at turndown at PBH were nice too.

I think I prefer the PBH just because the bathrooms are so much larger. We found that if you walk across to the Hard Rock driveway and then through their parking lot to the parks, it is only about a 6 minute walk to Universal Studios.

Simpsons is still undergoing a lot of work. Not much to show there. The Harry Potter area is coming along nicely. We've got pictures from the top of Flying Unicorn which I will post later.

All in all, a great trip.

Thanks for the tip about cuttin' thru HRH parking lot...will haveta remember that Sounds like you had a wonderful trip in all....can't wait to see yer pix You haven't mentioned how you made out 'shopping to furnish' our new home....

I emailed Juanita and got no response. Some response would have been nice even if it was to say there was no occupancy. My sister's "connection" to Paul Leclerc must have meant something.

Our RPR room was remodeled. It was nice. I think they should change the pullout couches though. They are looking a little tired. Other than that, the room was in good shape and looked refreshed.

Yes, I starved our boy for no reason. The empty stomach thing is strictly for the anethesia. But, let's not mention that to him, 'kay?

Oh, yeah. He got to choose whatever restaurant he wanted on the way home. We don't have a lot to choose from in our little town, but we pass one of just about everything on the road to Atlanta. He picked a combo KFC/Long John Silvers. He thinks it is funny that he can get fried chicken (from KFC) AND popcorn shrimp (from Long John Silvers) all at the same time.

He picked Peter Pan off the list. I'm not sure why, but it was his choice. The movie played until just after the kids arrived in Neverland, and he was all done. He was in the MRI machine for about 25 mins.

We won't know the results until we go back to the ped neurologist. We won't go back to see her until after we've had the EEG, which still isn't scheduled yet.

I'm fine, just a lingering cough and still tire out too quickly. Carol is good and set to start chemo this Friday. Deb is fine. Mom is still sick. I guess at her age it takes longer to shake it? I dunno. She's been back to the doctor and he told her there isn't anything else they can do. Her body just has to fight it off.

The movie helped distract him wonderfully....I think it's a great idea (whoever thought that up!) Of course you would have to SEE the doctor, pay the $$, and have her say "nuthin wrong....keep doin what yer doin" Mom has been sick for awhile now....flu should only last about a week....sure she doesn't have somethin' more serious?

We woke up this morning to temps in the 20s. If you are keeping track, it was 77 here on Monday, 65 and thunderstorms yesterday, freezing and snow flurries today.

Yes, I said snow flurries. As soon as they started falling, the boys lost their collective minds. Normally, if a dozen flakes of snow fall in a row, everything in Georgia shuts down. However, since they pulled the trigger too early last time (remember when we were the only county in Georgia that closed school?), they did NOT close school today. All of the counties around us (who didn't close last time) ARE closed.

Joshua told me that this is the WORST SNOW DAY EVER!

It's not like there is much snow on the ground. Just enough to confuse the spring plants that were starting to do their thing:

But, trust me, if they hadn't been stupid about closing too soon before, schools around here would be closed today. Oh, well.

Doesn't look like ya got much snow to have a "good" snow day either! Our tulips are pokin' out too...(will post pic later)..... At this point, I'll take temps in the 50's & 60's.... (i think those temps are cold in the fall )

Barb, the girl laughing is my son's girlfriend.

Our "spot" at Margaritaville isn't in the bathroom. It is on the bottomside of the counters that run along the perimeter of the semi-outdoor area where you eat. It is right beside an elevated table near where the servers get the drinks from. It is totally diagonal to where you meet the greeter. Hopefully others can find it!!!

Hello ...

Well still feeling crummy with my teeth . I think when the Dentist went in to look around he poked into the area and well now it hurts . I am so not in the mood for this.

Got our bill for the bedroom and well hubby looks like this now . I guess he will feel better when the taxes come in and we can pay it all off. BTW our taxes were suppose to be in on Tuesday and we were pushed off till the 11th of March .

damo your picture of he PBH pool makes me wanna walk over there during our trip it looks pretty cool. We will be at the HRH . Your pictures are great and I really can't wait to go now . It is actually coming faster then I thought it would.

MY BED IS COMING It will arrive between 8 AM and 12PM Thursday . I am so ready for a good nights sleep . I sure do hope it all works out for me .

I don't like rude KIDS they make me . I actually am having a really big issue with my DD Katie who is 12 going on 13 and acting like 20. In the past few weeks we have taken her phone away for using it in school , punished her from seeing her friend because they went for a "walk" to the stores and never told us where they went . Then after all this I found pictures on my camera of her in the mirror the "my space" type of photo where they stand in the mirror to take a photo of themselves . . Anyway I ask if she had a my space and well she LIED TO ME . So now she has no computer I am at wits end with her . I never had these issues with my DD Chrissy the one who will be 16. Today was the last straw though DD katie tried to wear MAKEUP ..at 12 can you believe this . I am a little annoyed CAN YOU TELL?? Ok my Rant is over now thanks for listening ..

So I am going to go clean up my mess from dinner and I hope to check in again later .
