believe it or not, i did know what the red and yellow meant....however, i don't see why you can't work on your car (where jr's is...AND in the pit) on a 'red'...if nobody is driving...what's the difference?

I have no idea why they can't work on the cars that are off the track. Somebody somewhere probably did and they decided it gave an unfair advantage to they guys off the track as opposed to stopped on the track.

How's that? Don't take it to the bank since I just yanked that answer out of my rear end.

so i've been taping a condition red for over an hour time to head back upstairs & rewind i suppose - again

seems weird, if the drivers don't approve the track's condition, what would they do? race elsewhere @ a later date? or is it a temporary situation?

They are about to get rolling again.

They just repaved the track and drivers always moan about fresh asphalt. Add the rain and they've got plenty to fuss about.

Finally - got caught up with you chatterboxes.

Been busy with work and visitng family.

I mentioned we have an American Idol "pool" at work. Evidently our newest and youngest hires are all AI fans. They wanted to do a "pool" like for the NCAA bball tourney.

The one thinks this is a great idea and wants to patent it.

Anyhoo, Round 1 is to start with all 12 boys and then pick the next 10 (as 2 get voted off each week), and then pick the next 8 and then the next 6. Repeat with the girls.

At this time we will go to Round 2 where everyone starts over with the correct final 12 contestants. Points from Round 1 will carry over to Round 2.

Sounds like something a bunch of accountants would come up with. Evidently we don't get enough of math during our 60-hour weeks this time of the year.

So, I only picked correctly on one boy who got voted off. The co-workers think my picks are horrible and are happy as they think I have just given them $10.

Anyhoo, it will give us something to look forward to - to help morale.

... Been really busy this weekend .

Kids finishing off projects . Getting ready to get back to work this week . And we are still working on our room. I have just about had it with looking for curtins . . I have had to order them from Bed bath and beyond . It was a small fourtune DH is gonna look like this when he sees the bill . I just hope that that they match. . I have photos I will post them hopefully in the morning if they don't call me for work if not I will get to them soon . I promise .


Now Monday I have to go to the dentist to see about my wisdom tooth . I just hope that it all works out for me ... My Dh says I have a big enough mouth for it I kind of have to agree .

I have to go ketchup . I have a lot of reading to do you guys can really talk it up here . I know I missed alot .

It is also offical that my DD 15 is dating . They really haven't gone "out" they see eachother in school and they have gone to the mall with friends and ice skating with friends. I am just keeping the rules to being with friends .

Going to see if the kids are getting ready for school in the morning I might be back later but if not I will try to get on in the morning .

Uuummmm. . .might want to rethink that. . . consider clothes, hair products, cuts, etc. make-up, personal products, PHONE BILLS, BIRTH CONTROL, gifts for bf's, shotguns to warn the bf's, supply of gags for those oh so smart mouths, neck brace to support the broken neck after all the head bobbing attitude . . . . oh, the list is endless. . . .

Yeah, boys can get that attitude too. But there is a lot of expense and worry on both sides. Trust me, I've done two of each.

He is gone now. . dd/dsil came and picked him up a bit ago. Got some really cute tub shots, and, well. . . all kinds of other silly shots. He's so much fun right now and so smart and curious.

Ok here is a sad fact or funny anyway you take it My dad's grandmother full blooded cherokee and grandfather full blooded irishman and mom's grandparents jewish, native american of some kind so in other words I don't know what I am by the way post # 1000

Here is what I know:

Chickasaw Indian (at least an 1/8), german, & Scotish. No telling what else.

Ok. . I'll be 25. I just. . and I do mean just. . .turned 40. My oldest is 20 and my youngest is 8. Grandson is nearly 10 months.

I'll be 44 in May. My oldest is 24 & youngest is 9. My granddaughter is 4.

It was a good movie. Went by very fast. A little along the lines of Bridge to Terabithia but different and there was no terribly sad ending.

Well it probably wouldn't really save you any money to drive since there are just 3 of you. It really takes 4 or more to make a difference in driving versus flying.

well that's a horse of a different color...who can afford to go that long

although i suppose it's cheaper that way than going twice a year when you factor in airfare...we just can't stay away that long with family issues/pets, etc...too hard to pin anyone down that long to take care of business @home while we're away playing

Me, me, me!!!! I wish we could go more often and take shorter trips but getting there & back is just so much of the expense. Oh who am I kidding! I love my long trips.

Oh...and sorry I wasn't here this morning...I had to go to work (tanning salon) to train the manager on the computer system She didn't know how to 'work' it.....and when I am the only person 'handy' with the computer, the place is in trouble! Either way, have earned my spot...owner, manager and ME get the 'code' to be in the managers editing privledges in computer So, after I was thru there, I tanned, went to get food (in same shopping center) and home I came. (hope that excuse 'note' is kay? )

We'll let it slide this time.

Chrissy had a visit from the tooth fairy last night, um I mean early this morning. We had to pull Chrissy's loose tooth out yest. She doesn't like when someone goes in her mouth, so it was a challenge. But tooth fairy almost forgot about coming by. Oops! But it all worked out

Glad the tooth fairy didn't forget.

I fell on the black ice, in our driveway last night, coming home from church.We have a shared driveway with 3 other residents, living in a condo. I'm ok, no bruising, just hurts a little in my right knee.

Ouch! Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.

We are leaving soon to a swim party in an indoor swimming facility in our park dist. This is for Cub Scouts. All 4 of us are doing the activity, then come home and the kids get in the shower and go to bed. I know Chrissy is going to be a bear tomorrow morning, trying to get up for school is not going to be easy. She has been up since 6:30 am today, she has been too excited about this swim party tonight. Wish the swim party was mid-afternoon today, but they only can do lock-ins in the evening at this facility.

Hi Guys! Sorry I haven't been around too much. I have been busy dealing with stuff that, trust me, you don't want to hear about.

Plus, Savannah is huge handful, but of course in a good way.

It's making us a bit sad, because until we had our hands full with Savvy, we never realized how old Alex had gotten. We had hoped that Savvy would help keep him active, but no go so far. We just got back from the pet store and bought him a laser light. We're hoping that gives him some exercise.

Who is watching the Oscars tonight? Mike and I always say we won't, and then we do anyway. Is there an Oscar fantasy league this year?

Sorry I haven't gone back to read. I'll try to catch up later. Mike is calling me to do 8-minute Abs with him before we start Beer O'Clock.

Must have been in the kitchen while they were cutting the track. I did not see that.

My dad is 68 and he does not have any gray. He doesn't color either.

Red Flag means "all racing conditions stop"... including pit crews. Yellow Flag is "caution" and you can work on the cars.

local news today said there will be a massive wheat shortage this summer, the big bakeries have their stash in hand, so bread shouldn't go up too much...however, the price of a pizza is expected to quadruple $50 for a pizza . Supposed to be just during this season...1st i gave up smoking, then drinking (sorta ), it's going to be hard to tell pizza so long.

That is true. I live in a wheat field. It was going to be a great harvest but then the rain set in during the middle of harvest and ruined it. I know that dh's family got in seed wheat & feed wheat but nothing to sell. The summer before harvest was even worse.

Because it would give him an advantage that other don't get. If he goes off the track but can work on his car while the rest are just sitting there then he is not getting behind, which he should be.

If the race gets to the 1/2 way point it is official and whoever is in the lead will be the winner. If they do not get to the 1/2 way point they will try again tomorrow during the day.
