Thanks:goodvibes .
Their will be my wife( Janet) myself (Shawn) and my sons ages 10 and 11.
I love burgers:love: !
Coasters are great for all of use.
We will be staying off site but going to the parks for three days.

welcome...

had to laff ;) my name is Janet & my oldest son's name is Shawn:rotfl:

how the heck you all doin today? I've done my banking (counting my refund $s today too:surfweb: :woohoo: ); laundry & baking (rolls & more cinnamon rolls - still can't believe we didn't get any cinabons last trip to U)

mac - i am feverishly taking notes for offsite visits = next Oct visit. 1 quick question. Know they shut the parks down "early" before HHNs. Just wondering if it's "do-able" to visit the park in early afternoon, then segue back to the HHN...as in how much time inbetween would be have to kill?

lori - i really don't think they need to combine the treehouse w/SSR-although it sure would make them sell out quickly lol confused, you're moving into a snow globe?? lol

jennifer - how about that buzzer beater? Have u ever been to Petersen vent Center-very :cool1: (some roof issues/construction tho)...my oldest DS had the great luck to be interning their when in college (robert morris) and got appointed as the interim Event Center Mgr - nice resume builder! How nice you'll get to stay put for a while! Like the cheery song too!

wendy - 2 snaps up girl!

tracie - LANDSHARK sighting in PA:dance3:  maybe the colonies out west will get it too...only if fast eddy okay's it 1st:rotfl: ...i must check our local distributor - pronto.

tricia - awww, how sweet. fyi, my "now cheap";) fuji also has a non-flash setting...it's what i used for the Poseiden pics - not to shabby jik you're interested.

marci - nothing like a handy-dandy handout to skip a meeting...after you hear it with the 1st kid; it does tend to lose it's appeal.

please keep a good thought. applied for another position.

never got a call back from the teenager that interviewed me and wrote my questions down for the other week. think i would pass on that place anyway.

Barb, you reminded me. gotta sign up for tanning. i do the 6 month deal. it is like getting 2 months free where i go. booths and beds 6 months unlimited. more folks should do the math. i always start 6 months from vacay date, and since i am soooo light i have a base by sept. works for me.

who got the sleep number bed? when does it arrive? will we see you after??????

i'm always hungry:guilty: ; had to fight the manimals for one last batch;)

good luck on the job hunt it is soooo discouraging to see youngin's doin' the hiring, drs seem to get much younger too:rolleyes1

never been to Hawaii

it is actually not on my to visit list.

from here the plane ride would be death.

from utah, possible, but long.

i just hate being in that damn seat so long! i cannot sleep on a plane.

San Fran and San Diego and Santa Barbara , Seattle and Vega$ are at the top. those we will do when we move.

I visited Hawaii because oldest DS was invited to play in a football tourny/scouting event when he graduated from hs. My sister and I went to be there with him.

Our connecting flight was from Salt Lake. Pulled out the photo albums last night and thought about you. Took some great pics from the air of the all the salt. Will have to get them scanned one of these days so I can post some.

It was an a terribly long flight. Was worse coming home then going. It took us a couple of days to recoup from it. My sister had no problem sleeping on the plane. I didn't sleep a wink and it was an overnight flight coming home.

lori - i really don't think they need to combine the treehouse w/SSR-although it sure would make them sell out quickly lol confused, you're moving into a snow globe?? lol

I don't think they would have to combine them either but I don't think there are any facilities for a separate check in. They would have to build that too. Don't know if there is enough there for that.

Guess I have to live in a bubble to avoid all the elements. Must have been the headache talking yesterday. The biggest thing I want to get away from is the wind and I don't want to be anywhere there is lots of bad weather. Actually if I just want to get out of Oklahoma.

Now as for those cinnamon rolls...you never sent them last time. I'm still waiting. Cinnabon is on my planning list. Make sure I get there every morning we are at Uni!

please keep a good thought. applied for another position.

Everything is crossed for you Penny. Hope this one is what you want.

well, gotta go deal with the hair cut and style. :rotfl2:

my every three week cut it all off:lmao:

to think i used to have long hair......

i barely have any :rotfl:

Enjoy the pampering!

OMG you alll.... last night I earned my paycheck and then some. Instead of being a happy drunk last night, I was a tired, overwhelmed cranky pants who is also in mourning over losing her candidate. You totally did not want to hear from me last night!

Barb, I am glad you told them to take that job and shove it! Good for you and have fun at the tanning salon. Do you get to tan for free now?

Tricia, cute pics! Glad Joshua's assembly went well.

I really want to catch up, and I know you are all ANXIOUSLY waiting with BATED breath and FLUTTERING hearts to hear about Miss Savvy's latest adventures, but we are going into the city in a bit for dinner and Mary Poppins --- this would be me, mom, and sissy as Mike wouldn't be caught dead at a Broadway play, much less Mary Poppins. Hope to catch up tomorrow.

Happy Friday, every one. Don't work too hard.

Oh, PS, I have to share that for the first time ever, when we have no intentions of using it, I actually received one of those elusive DISNEY PIN codes in my email this morning. Howdy flippin do!

:rotfl:

It's an 'infatuation' and will pass....it's normal. Think about it this way...guys check out hot chicks all the time...only THEY get caught :rolleyes1  At least we women are smart enuf to NOT get caught! :rotfl2:

Yes, you are probably right.
I did email Matthew's band teacher that morning, before the afterschool band practice, to let him know how awesome Matthew played his clarinet at hte school Variety show. I didn't praise the band teacher himself, but to let him know how Matthew did. I could see his band teacher had a spring in his step that afternoon. I guess band teacher felt very proud as well, I suppose. He finally has a band student that "gets it", as of love for music. That's what I'm thinking. And a mom (me) that "gets it" as of dedication of bringing his student to band practice and staying during practice. It's kinda weird b/c I'm really the only mom that comes in to the band room(actually they practice in the jr. high school cafeteria). Matthew takes so darn long getting his stuff together, to leave to go home, that he is the only student left getting his stuff together, that I and Chrissy come on in and help Matthew.
Then band teacher and I have a little small talk sometimes. A handful of parents stay during practice outside the cafeteria(maybe 10 or so). I and another mom chit-chat sometimes while the kids band practicing. Most parents drop off and pick up their kids outside in the school parking lot.
Oh well, I don't want the band teacher getting the wrong idea.
But I noticed this past weeks' afternoon band practice, he wasn't yelling at the kids so much as he has been and he had a spring in his step. I guess that's a good thing in a way ;)
I just need to get over this infatuation. I don't know if I'm right or not, maybe he is flirting with me? I don't know :confused3 I'm going to have be careful tho.
Thanks for letting me know I'm normal :)

Okay, guess I should watch something besides the Disney Channel every once in a while. Did he pull out of the race? I had no idea.

And just how long do you plan to keep me on these pins & needles. It really hurts! :scared1: Have fun at the play. Let us know how it was.

I have never received one of those codes. My dad & oldes son have, but not me.:sad2: Guess I really don't need one though since I have my DVC.

Good morning all-
THanks all for the congrats for Chrissy and Matthew's conferences yesterday.

I'm pretty tired today.
I hope to be bbl, as the kids are off today, again

 i've never gotten one & probably never will, they own me already:sad1:

was it a 40% off one? I'd book CR so fast & rent my points your head would spin:rotfl:

no go lat down & take a nap;)

lori - i prefer the cinnabons fresh outta the oven & driipping in gooey goodness...drool...DH prefers the ones that have cooled & they pkg them up in the park-cheaper too:yay:

have to admit my very fav is the funnel cake joint around the corner from the cinnabon place @ IOA. Only time i ever eat them, topped with ice cream/strawberries & whipped cream...enough calories for a month.

really hungry now, off to find some cheese

So I found out today what the BIG deal is about CHEESE SANDWICHES .. I found out that if the school lets these kids eat hot lunch and not pay for it sooner or later the school gets a bill from the food division and has to pay for the hot lunches. The kids who are not paying are now getting CHEESE SANDWICHES because there is no payment on file for them . This is where it gets crazy some kids really did pay and the school messed it up so now there is a huge deal being made about it . All I can say is I am glad my kid eats COLD LUNCH :thumbsup2 .

I heard I need a note for an absence from the boads :rotfl2: so I will get right on that . :surfweb: There will be no photos however of my book fair event today but when I am out for my trip to USF/IOA I will post some good photos .

So I am really excited that it is Friday but any other Catholics looking for a good meal tonight ?? I just can't eat anymore Pizza or Pasta . My kids don't eat fish and well I am stuck for a meal . Any ideas  ?? I am really gonna try to not eat meat this lent but it always seems i forget on Friday and well then I do one of these :scared1: .

Off to the bank PAY DAY :woohoo: .

Ladies night out tonight so I will be away again I am going to try to stop by Saturday but the BIG clean out of the master bed room will start this weekend . See everyone soon :yay:

Happy Friday All!!!!!

This is the one day a year that I can honestly say I like the IRS :lmao: Got our tax return on the day it was promised :thumbsup2 efiling kicks butt!!!

mac - HOWDY!!!!! Did you get your room for October? I talked with the person I was waiting for and things were taken care of :thumbsup2

Hmmm.....tax refund arrived? Vacation is PAID for :thumbsup2

Glad you got "things" taken care of with who you were talking to :woohoo:

It is not getting dark here now until after 6. I guess it must be because we are farther south than you guy.

::yes:: be my guess....

Maybe you will like this one…Ally has probably eaten at the school 5 or 6 times all year, she takes her lunch. We sent $20 when the school year started way back in August. Well they keep sending home an envelope for me to sen more money because she is down to $7.60. She probably won’t even use that before the year is up. Why are they using the money/time to send me these every week?

Same thing w/ Ry...put $20 in his account in first grade....bought maybe a handful of time....(usually takes/prefers cold lunch). All of sudden, I'm getting notices and phone calls his account is -$2.?? Um....what happened to notifying me with $5 left? :confused3 I wrote them a nasty note and told them not to harrass ME when they screwed up..(AND he doesn't buy hot lunch but 3 times a year or so!) :snooty:

Tell him hi for me. Glad Mary Eva is doing great!

He can read what we write....just can't post.

and how is our sweet Daniel today???????

I'm not sure WHERE Daniel is, because they had their pediatric neurologist appt. this morning for Joshua..... Hope all goes well :goodvibes

how the heck you all doin today? I've done my banking (counting my refund $s today too:surfweb: :woohoo: ); laundry & baking (rolls & more cinnamon rolls - still can't believe we didn't get any cinabons last trip to U)

When are you coming HERE and doing MY laundry and baking cinnamon rolls? :rolleyes1

Mummydust for Penny's job :wizard: :wizard:

Mary (coastermom) is getting the bed :cloud9:

And, I would agree....that is a good deal for tanning...people just don't think....AND they think they can go from pasty white to dark and sexy in like 2 weeks :sad2: uh-uh....don't work like that....

well, gotta go deal with the hair cut and style. :rotfl2:

well? :confused3 How's it look???

Ok, I'm so weird. I need a little feedback on this, about the band teacher thing. I need to know if this guy is flirting with me or am I reading too much into this. I know this is petty to talk about this, but I need your input from you homie ladies here :)
Besides what I said what happened in the above post, about 3 weeks ago at the band concert, DH, Matthew, and I(mostly my DH) wanted to meet Matthew's band teacher. So a few minutes after the band concert was over, DH, Matthew, and I went to say hello to the band teacher. DH shakes his hand and "nice to meet you ". Then band teacher shakes my hand and tells me," I'm sure we will see you around for a long time". I wasn't sure exactly what he meant, but I was guessing he meant that I bring in Matthew all the time to band, so that's what I'm guessing he meant :confused3
I never had a greeting like that before from a teacher or any teacher in my life, but I didn't think too much about it at the time and DH didn't really notice anything, but then he usually doesn't
Then this past Tues afternoon, besides what I noticed, sometime during the afternoon band practice, band teacher comes out in the doorway and just looks up and down the hall where some of us parents sit, for no appearant reason. Sometimes he comes by the doorway usually when it's real noisy (from the jr high kids walking around making noise) and shuts the door. This time was different. No one was making noise and it was quiet and he didn't shut the door. He did see I was there tho. I thought it was a little unusual but didnt' think too much about it. Telling you guys that I'm not making any of this up.
Ok, so is this flirting or what? :confused3
I guess I'm trying to understand what is going on. Thanks!
I know this is so silly for me to bring this up, but I guess I need to know.

I guess this is better than me talking about depressing stuff, right?

Janet- enjoyed your pic- cute :)

Tricia- enjoyed the pics of Joshua in the kindergarten program :goodvibes
Kindergarten programs are alway so cute :)

Penny- hoping all goes well with the job search.

Hi to all!

Yup I broke down and paid the bucks for the bed . I just can't wait to sleep in it . :cloud9:

I don't really know if the band teacher is flirting or not there but as a teachers wife I can tell you this some parents just don't know where to
draw the line and neither so some teachers. My DH had parent teacher conferences and well there was a nice woman ,she is divorced and well she HITTING ON MY DH during Parent teacher . Since that I have supplied his class room with many a family photo :lmao: . Just wondering does the band teacher seem as friendly to other moms as he is to you??

I'm sorry to hear that
What exactly did that mom do, if you don't mind me asking?

Band teacher seems to only talk to me. I don't see him talk to the other moms.
There hasn't been any personal questions/ info exchanged. Just how well Matthew is doing in band and the weather outside.

Thanks for your input, coastermom :)

i totally agree. i hate the flights to hawaii. those 12 hours are killers.
all the past times i get a connecting flight.
chgo to lax with only one hour layover, then on to hawaii.

for the return, i go early evening, leave around 5 pm and get home the next day in the morning. only take a 1.5 hr layover on the return trip home.

this time doing it differently. going non stop.
i like it as it is cheaper.

don't like it as the food on the plane you buy is not my favorite and i like to walk around for 30 minutes between flights on the ground.

my brother and i take turns traveling to each others place so we can see each other.

welcome...

i can help you with your questions.

the parks close early on HHN nights.
the studios will close at 5 pm to the day guests.
ioa will close at 6 pm.

what i do is go to the parks in the early morning and do the rides and see the attractions.
eat lunch and return to my room around 3:30 to change to my csw shirt.
then i go back to the studio side and am there around 4:30ish.

if you are a day guest and you bought the hhn ticket for that night you are there, you don't have to leave the park. you go to one of two areas called stay and scream holding areas. they open at 5:00 . you show your hhn ticket and it is scanned. you have to stay in the guided area that is set up, can't leave until the security gives the go ahead of the park all clear.

people in the stay and scream area are released to start the houses.
usually there are 3 houses ready to open at 6:00.
you are ahead of the crowds then.

i buy the express pass but don't use it until the lines are up to a 25 minute wait. that way i can do more with out long waits in line.
the express pass is valid for ride/attraction/house once that night.
you can do them again but in the regular line.

if you leave the park, you have to show your park ticket to reenter for hhn if you want to go to the stay and scream holding area.

if you wait until 4:55 to go to universal, you will not be admitted.

around 5:15 a line usually starts outside the gate for HHN admittance.
those in line are let in at 6:30 when the HHN opens.

OMG you alll.... last night I earned my paycheck and then some. Instead of being a happy drunk last night, I was a tired, overwhelmed cranky pants who is also in mourning over losing her candidate. You totally did not want to hear from me last night!

We had this problem when my kids were in elementary school. Two went to one school and if they ever didn't have lunch money or forgot their lunches, they got PBJ. Of course these two kids HATED PBJ, so if this ever happened (or their lunches got lost - this happened a LOT because they just used big laundry baskets to put lunches in and a lot would fall out and then someone would put them in the wrong class' basket and their lunch wouldn't be there) then I had to make an emergency run to the school.

The other kid went to a different school. Since he loved PBJ, of course his school only served cheese sandwiches (which he would prefer to starve to death rather than eat) instead of PBJ!

For a dinner suggestion - I vote for Lobster! :rotfl:
