Tricia - I have no idea. We don't do peeps. None of my kids have ever liked them. Sorry I can't help you.

Mary - Good luck to your dd! Hope they get the win!

My morning has been fun. (I'm borrowing Jodie's sarcasm)

Brad decided to give the boys Peeps for a snack last night (I guess he turned his dad brain off). Daniel managed to smash his one little Peep all over himself, his clothes, and the carpet.

I was SO not in the mood to face it last night (remember I was enjoying my Capt & Cokes), so I pulled off the globs that I could get and left it. This morning, I started trying to deal with stale, sticky Peep goo.

This stuff won't come off. I mean, it is like glue. I scrubbed Daniel's pants and finally got them to this point:

PeepJeans.jpg

You will note that there are still white splotches on there, but they are headed for the washing machine anyway.

The carpet... wellll... let's just say that I had the bright idea to "heat" the goo in the hopes of loosening it. Hey! You know what happens when you iron Peep goo on your carpet? It gets harder and smells like burnt cat hair!

Anybody know how to get burnt Peep goo out of the carpet? :headache:

Tricia -

I know I should NOT be laughing......but I can't help myself :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That has got to be one of the funniest things I have ever read - and no darn tag fairy around

 AHHH I need someplace to RANT

Rant one . My dentist called he isn't coming to work on the 19th of March and now wants to resechdule me for the 24th of March  . I am so confused :confused3 as to what to do . I really want to push it off till school is over and I don't have to be inconvienced by taking time off of work etc. Also now I have no ride to the place and home. SO if I am not feeling pain anymore should I go the only thing is I am wordering if flying would agravate it ?? Anyone know?? I know there are a lot of :teeth: teeth issues here . :rotfl2:

Rant two ...

MY :surfweb: printer/ scanner /fax machine is giving me a hard time . It is annoying because it is also where I download my pictures from my camera's memory card. I wanted to post the new photos of our bedroom and now I can't because it isn't reading the pictures. :confused3 ... WHY ..I don't know but I am pretty sure it is something one of my DD's touched because it usually is .

I need a drink. So who was that making drinks last night ?? Maybe a trip to :worship: starbucks will make me feel better??

Gotta go shop for the kiddies . My DD's broke their hair straightner and need a new one , DH needs pens for school and a special battery for his video game and well DS needs pants that are not floods on him .:thumbsup2 He must have grown a few inches or my dryer is amazingly good at shrinking only his stuff :rotfl2: .I guess I should do this :laundy: instaed of the dryer huh ?

Be Back later .

Rant away Mary!! That is what we are here for......

I would think that if your teeth are not bothering you - you can wait :confused3 I am not the one to ask, :confused3 I live in fear of the dentist......even every 6 months when I take the kids in for their cleanings, I start to sweat and shake a bit

I don't think the flying would hurt your teeth - but be sure not to slip and fall out of a cetain wet ride and bang your teeth together causing one to crack (ala Jim last year) and not having a car I had to WALK it to the Walgreens :rolleyes1 to pick up a prescription from our dentist back home.

Hope your day gets better

damo -

Glad to hear you are in SC....I am sure you are every minute of it!!!

Hope DH is feeling much better :thumbsup2

Go ahead and laugh. I'm sure I will too. Eventually.

And thank goodness for no Tag Fairy around here. Can you imagine the tags we'd have? Actually, I'd rather have a burnt peep goo tag than the one about the hair on my forehead.

U.S. Government Concedes Vaccines Cause Autism

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the federal agency that oversees the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), recently conceded the first vaccine-autism case.

This case was filed in the no-fault National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program as part of the Autism Omnibus proceedings in the U.S. Federal Court of Claims.

It was one of the first three cases chosen that alleged Thimerosal in childhood vaccines significantly contributed to a child developing autism.

Clifford Shoemaker, of Shoemaker and Associates of Vienna, Virginia, is the attorney of record in the Hanna Poling v. Secretary of HHS (case: 02-1466V).

Experts filing on behalf of the petitioner, Hanna Poling, included pediatric neurologist, Dr. Andrew Zimmerman of Johns Hopkins University, and Maryland geneticist and epidemiologist, Dr. Mark Geier of the Genetic Centers of America.

This concession shows the dishonesty of the continual media spin coming from public health officials and others who maintain there is no evidence that Thimerosal, or any other part of any vaccine, has ever caused autism or, for that matter, has harmed anyone in any way.

The facts are that the Vaccine Compensation Act has already compensated over 2,000 individuals who proved that they were harmed by vaccines, resulting in settlements of nearly two billion dollars.

Additionally, hundreds of peer-reviewed scientific/medical articles from some the world’s best universities have long implicated Thimerosal in vaccines as a causal factor in neurodevelopmental disorders including autism.

Furthermore, in 2003, the U.S. House of Representatives’ Government Reform Committee, after a 3.5-year investigation, concluded that Thimerosal caused the autism epidemic and that the FDA and health authorities were guilty of “institutional malfeasance” in covering it up.

Evidence supporting the connection between mercury and autism include:

1. Published studies from the US and France showing that urinary porphyrins, a biomarker for body-burden of mercury, are elevated in patients diagnosed with autistic disorders (http://www.mercury-freedrugs.org).

2. A published study by researchers at Harvard University that found twice as much mercury and oxidative stress in the brains of those with an autism diagnosis as found in the brains of those who were normal.

3. A study from the US showing a significant relationship between increasing blood mercury levels and an increased risk of a diagnosis of an autistic disorder.

4. Numerous papers by independent researchers showing a link between increasing mercury exposure from childhood vaccines and the risk of a child developing an autistic disorder.

5. Several papers showing that adding low levels of Thimerosal to certain blood, brain, eye, immune, liver and/or muscle cells poisons their cellular mitochondrial pathways and can induce cell death.

Today, despite being banned in Europe and restricted in 7 U.S. states, Thimerosal-containing flu vaccines are still recommended for routine administration to pregnant women and infants, with little or no warning of the presence of this known poison in these and other vaccines.

Vaccines have and will continue to save many lives. However, an immediate ban and recall of vaccines and other drugs containing mercury compounds used in their production must be instituted immediately to stop the epidemic of developmental disorders, including autism, caused by the unsound use of mercury in medicine.

My wife called and is all excited. NFL runningback Edgerin James is at the hospital visiting someone and my son, Bobby, got his picture taken with him.

The spot is about the size of a half dollar. The carpet is a beige/tan/brown berber.

Is that the flu shot? We've never had flu shots.

IIRC I think it is linked to the MMR shot :confused3 :confused3

didn't read the whole thing yet - but all I can say is ITS ABOUT TIME someone stepped up and took this seriously

We did presents and cake today - the "guys" got a good GPS to share.

Congrats to Eric! :woohoo: Good luck to Royce! He'll need it to get a chance to use the GPS, if Matt is anything like my DS. :rolleyes1

I was attempting to finish my post, when I had a kid run up saying what -every parent loves to hear "Mom, come quick! There's a whole bunch of water in the basement!" :scared1:
[SIZE]

Oops! That's not good! Hope it stops leaking!

WOO HOO:cool1: :cool1: Go Post-it note man - go!

Post-it man, huh? :rotfl2: Sounds like you know as much about racing as I do. Looks like you made a good pick though. :thumbsup2

My things that are unusual to take that many don't think of: shoe organizer, spray air freshener, extension cords, ziploc baggies, clothespins, handheld electronic game (for the bathroom times :rolleyes1 ), and a couple of other things "stored" in suitcases..... :scratchin

Sounds like my packing list, except I don't do the shoe organizer. I also add pump soap (hate slimy bar soap), & a B&BW Wallflower to keep the room smelling nice. I just put the cap back on the fragrance bulb, & keep it in the suitcase.

Ours is 30 a case :scared1: :scared1: Getting our first one tomorrow. DH collects beer bottles and cans (has all sorts of wild ones - do you remember the very short lived Weinhard's or the Wolf one done by AB?)

So, what makes this beer so good? It is beer, right? We might have to give it a try, since we apparently live in the cheap state. ;)

So the DH that was grumpy suprised me with my Birthday Gift Today .:cheer2: . He got me my Cricut Expressions and well if you scrapbook you know what it is . If not it is a cutting machine for scrapbookers and well card makers , kids projects etc. You get the picture. I really love DH right now  .

Great birthday gift! He did good! ::yes::

Hi all-
Sorry I can't respond. Been busy.

Mac- my kids have school today. Our school district here DOES have school today. We never take off on Pulaski Day. I don't think it's a federal holiday, just a state holiday I suppose. My kids are doing ISAT testing starting today and thru the week. I'm pretty sure there is mail delivery today. I guess it goes by school dist who takes off and who goes to school.

I went to visit my dad today at the hospital. He is in a regular med/surg room. It is really sad for me to see him this way, as he is depressed and it's a little hard on me. I need hugs, thanks.
He is nothing by mouth(NPO) still. The bowel gook (my words) is still draining and he can't eat until all that is cleared up. They might start him on Hyperal(kind of IV nutrients) soon. I don't know. My mom is calling the nurse about it. My dad tried to pull out his NG tube this morning, so now they have wrist restraints on him and my mom is furious about it. My mom is at work today and she will be visiting him tonight after work. My dad can have ice chips, so I was feeding him ice chips when I was there. I know how he feels with the NG tube in and not able to eat anything. I've been there, done that, with my gallbladder surgery and bowel resection almost 10 yrs ago. It is not fun at all  I prayed with my dad when I was there. He didn't want me to pray out loud, so I did silently. I also printed out a couple of pictures of his grandkids from my printer and brought them there for him. I guess I'm trying to be a good daughter.

Mac- I had asked you know who for prayer. Hope that certain person is praying for my dad :flower3:

Ok, I gotta run unfortunately. Gotta get kids off the bus soon. I hope my kids don't have homework- with ISAT testing and all.

Hi to all :wave2:

Bless you Rose not many kids would do as much as your are for thier parents in the time of need and my grandmother was an example of that ( my dads mom ) cause all of her kids would not even see her while she was dieing of cancer and kept telling her she was faking and my dad was not one of them since he was killed in acident 23 years earlier and I was the only grandkid that would come to she her every weekend and I lived 80 miles away and her other grandkids live in the same town and some lived right around the corner and wouldn't even wave at her when she sat on her porch and if you ever met her you would swear she was an angel.
So big  and hope your dad gets better soon.

This article was from a few years ago, found it online.

Approximately 12 out of the 18 vaccine doses the average American child receives before the age of two contain thimerosal. Cumulatively, that’s more than 200 micrograms of mercury, which would fit on the head of a pin. According to the EPA, dropping that pin-head of mercury into 23 gallons of water would make it unsafe for human consumption. “Think about the idea of injecting your own child with levels of mercury that are thirty to forty times what’s considered safe for an adult,” Dallas attorney Andy Waters said. “And, I think if any human being thinks about that very long, they recognize that this is something that never should have happened.”

Hey Rose. Hang in there. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Lawrence that is terrible. At least you know you did the right thing. :grouphug:
