Okay...since I am now ketchuped from today, I have an announcement to make.........

I thought Lori deserved an award for the really awesome ketchup job she did the other night. The 'other' message board I belong to gives out 'awards', so I got to thinking (got a little help from DH) and I have come up with the very prestigious......

''Golden Homie'' award

....an award I can give to anyone at anytime for any reason...... (hope that is okay with MommaMac)

So, to the very first receipient, LORI, congrats for a well done ketchup job.... 43 pages and 4 hours worth!!! You are a brave woman! :thumbsup2

Congratulations!!!!

Brab - Awesome job on the trophy! And it couldn't go to a more deserving person!

May a humble new DIS Board member join in this conversation, or it is "members only" like Sam's Club?

I can speak reams about nothing. I watch a steady stream of "Seinfeld" re-runs.

Hi Fred! Welcome to our home!

It's not Sam's club....It's MAC's club! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hope you feel better Sharon and know how you feel cause I have been trying to shake my cold for it seems like forever but getting a little better now.
Just stay warm and ya know the rest.

I'm glad your feeling better Lawrence. How are you doing with the allergy to the dog? I'm going to go for a walk in the bracing cold in hopes it will clear my head!

:welcome: Fred lots of great people here ;) .

macraven .. Classs from hell well I have had many of those I know how it feels. All I can say is just keep swimming ,just keep swimming. :lmao: Thats how I am getting through the days . BTW I LOVE DORY :thumbsup2

lori ..it is just the midterm stress for DD . Between a different test everyday and different times sometimes i don't know if she is coming or going :confused3 .. I am glad it is over now I don't have to :car: drive her every day . She is off till THURSDAY  .

Off to CLEAN HOUSE TODAY . Loading the bags of cloths up to go to the local church and cleaning out the basement I should look like this in a few hours :scared1: . See everyone later .... Maybe :lmao:

Hi Mary! I might have missed it, but how old is DD? A few of us have kids old enough to be taking mid-terms.
I should be venturing down to the basement too. DH has a workshop down there and we made a rec room for the kids. Well the dust from his latest project has invaded the rec room. Not good!

Hey guys! Just wanted to hop in and say hi! Will be back later to 'ketchup' after I go buy some ketchup!

Hi Lori! I think I finally ketched up! Can you buy me a loaf of bread while you are out? :upsidedow

Oh no Tricia, seeing as I'm a greyhound owner, I do not want to know that you go to the dog track.....I was involved in greyhound rescue years ago before they shut the tracks down around here. I have seen some horribly abused dogs. But I will say, not all owners mistreat their dogs. We mostly just found homes for the ones that could no longer race (which would normally be shot to death).Ok, enough of that. I guess we can still be friends. j/k ;)

The Daytona Beach Kennel Club is a great track. They have an onsite adoption agency for retired greyhounds. http://www.greyhoundpetsdaytona.org/ They only allow certain kennels to race there... ones that prove that they don't euthanize and are regularly spot checked by the ASPCA. Greyhounds love to run and I like watching them. Of course, I haven't been to the track in years. Since before the boys were born. But I did enjoy tossing my 2 dollars on a quinella for each race.

When you are done cleaning your house and basement, wanna come do mine?

Wow, it sounds like that track is really stepping up and taking responsibility.
They sure do love to run, for about 5 seconds, and than sleep in the sun the rest of the day! I have never seen a lazier dog!

Ok, vaccuming done, floors washed, 1st load of clothes are in the wash. It's now time to relax for awhile. The dayquil seems to be helping.

Our 100 year old apples trees didn't have many apples this year, so I bought a couple bushels of drops for the deer. Time to wander down the driveway and throw some under the trees.

I'm not feeling so sunshiny this morning. :sad1:

I've been trying to ignore that tickly, scratchy feeling in the back of my throat for days....can't ignore it anylonger.....I've got a damn cold.
I never get sick....blah
I'm hoping a hot shower will help.

It's a good day to wrap up in a blanket and play my new computer game I guess.

I'm not looking forward to sitting in the cold ice rink tonight. I think I'll take a couple of dayquil and see if it helps.

Aaawww. . . chicken noodle soup, lots of fluid and naps (or video games).

Good Morning Homies! I assume Fletcher is sleeping in on his day off. Since I get(?!) to work today, I will take the wake up call.:)

Welcome Fred. I am also a Seinfield fan. Loved George and Elaine the best.

Lori - Congrats on your award. Hope your speech didn't get cut off by the orchestra music.

Off to work today (sixth day this week). Anyhoo, I will try to get you some more info on the IRS tax rebate checks. I actually checked the official IRS site and they only had two sentences - rebate is coming, but legislation has not been officially enacted.

When I get the facts, I will post them, so we can all count our money. Who is going to use their rebate for their Universal Vacation?:cool1: :cool1:

thank you for the wake up call.
except i didn't hear you the first time you yelled.
slept in to 11:15 today and the phone woke me up.
of course, didn't get to bed until 6 this morning so i'm good to go now.

i'll send you a pm jennifer about the rebate checks.
i know someone that works in compliance department.

Morning little homies.

Thank you for the kind welcome.

Remember, the exclamation point in my name is silent.

BRAB, i was typing and typed her name backwards and didn't change it when i did that yesterday.
i think i created her a new name......

Yeah...How is Brab doing? :rotfl2: That's a cool trophy she made. :thumbsup2

When my husband says, "It's a good road" my @ss muscles clench automatically. I can't tell you how many "good roads" we have spent hours meandering through the boonies on. :headache: :rolleyes1

i do the driving in the car.
mr mac is my navigator.
if he took me on a bad road, i would fire him.

We have @ss muscles?!? How do you go about toning them? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: [/QUOTE]

yea, those are the big muscles.....

:welcome: Fred lots of great people here ;) .

macraven .. Classs from hell well I have had many of those I know how it feels. All I can say is just keep swimming ,just keep swimming. :lmao: Thats how I am getting through the days . BTW I LOVE DORY :thumbsup2

dory....keep on swimming, keep on swimming.

the phrase of the week has been born!

Hey guys! Just wanted to hop in and say hi! Will be back later to 'ketchup' after I go buy some ketchup!

have you ever bought the green ketchup?
don't, it sucks big time.

i stay away from the organic stuff also.
long story.........

Brab - Awesome job on the trophy! And it couldn't go to a more deserving person!

Hi Fred! Welcome to our home!

It's not Sam's club....It's MAC's club! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

sharon, did she bring you back that loaf of bread yet? if she did, i need to borrow a few slices. ok , not borrow but have. i'll give you a quarter for them....

sams' club
mac's club

ok, i see i screwed up mary's phrase of the week.

just keep swimming
just keep swimming
just keep swimming
just keep swimming
just keep swimming

is the way she had it ...

sharon, did she bring you back that loaf of bread yet? if she did, i need to borrow a few slices. ok , not borrow but have.

Never a good idea to "borrow" bread. Just keep it. Nobody will want it back used. :scared:

Good morning. Good evening? Not sure what it is right now. My body hasn't recovered from being on a midnight tour and I have no concept of time.

Guiltily admitting that I have not gone back the several pages where I left off . ... just coming on to say hi, hello, how are you?

If there are any crises, please email. Or set up a chat. Or if I owe anyone congratulations ... Or, if Lori could send me cliffnotes. Thinking of going for pie now ... Do you hate me yet?!

you missed all the chaos jodie.
lucky girl

we have a winter cabin home set up in case this thread goes belly up.
i would rather talk about your teeth instead.........:goodvibes

Thanks for the ideas Tricia - The college recommends the Hilton on the beach. Sounds like a good one for August when we move him into the school. :cool1:
I need to go back again in Oct for Parent Weekend, that's when I want something closer to the school. I'm going to check the race schedule for Oct, because I would really like to be on Richard Petty Blvd. That's within walking distance to the college.

when is parent week end for him in october?
i'll be orlando in october.
i smell a mini meet.....

and then you have lori that hits all age brackets in the homies home.
she has babies every 7 years........

Hi Lori! I think I finally ketched up! Can you buy me a loaf of bread while you are out? :upsidedow

did you get the bread yet?
maybe she will throw in some deli meat with that.

Never a good idea to "borrow" bread. Just keep it. Nobody will want it back used. :scared:

you do have a valid point.

i can remember when my boys would want to "share " with me.
ugh........those with littles are still going through that stage of life now so you understand what i mean.

when they take a bite of your sandwich, they either leave saliva on it or push the food back on to the uneaten part of the bread if they don't like it.

and

when they drink out of your cup, you have little things floating around in it.
that stuff must have come out of their little mouths when sipping.

double ugh...

when mine were babies, i always used the same type of coffee cup to use for my coffee.
all of them from the time they were walking would grab my coffee cup off the table and try it.
after dropping my coffee all over themselves and where ever they were, they quickly learned not to drink out of mommie's cup.
mommie's cup= ick

the times i would drink coke in the morning was fine. i just used my coffee mug to keep the boys out of it.
i trained them earlier what was in the mug they wouldn't like.
mr mac is a coke addict and i feared the sons would follow in his footsteps.

that would mean there would not be any coke in the house when i wanted it.

OOOO I feel loved  a phrase of the week . :goodvibes

Sharon my DD is 15 ..Going on 16 thus the trip to HRH in May :goodvibes
My other two DD 12 and DS 6 are not getting mid-terms ...Thank Goodness :thumbsup2

Oh yes, I should have remembered the conversation about matching t-shirts etc. Sorry. :confused3

Here is a photo of my DD turning 24 last fall with her tiara and sash!
Amanda4.jpg

My problem is the shoes. She will not throw any away! I've tried to tell her that next time she brings home new shoes, she will have to throw out old ones. She sneaks them in now. I wish we wore the same size!

Hey nothing like embarassing them in front of huge amounts of people. :thumbsup2 I love the crown and sash though .

My kids keep EVERYTHING . It is amazing clothes with tags that don't fit anyone are still in their draws. I think I need a u-haul to get rid of all the junk they have .

Gotta run to the mall now they need to get out of the house . And so do I .:rotfl:

   i was kidnapped today by DH:love:
to the jewelry store:woohoo: our anniversary is on Valentines Day and our 15th last year was a lean $ wise date. I was instructed to pick out a few pieces of tanzanite and he'd go back and surprise me...yes, i hope i get them all:rolleyes1such a greedy blingy piggie, i'm ashamed of myself - NOT. After i kicked out the ex we lived on jewelry for awhile until i found moonlighting gigs:teacher: the cruise director kept pushing tanzanite as the next best thing; evidently only found in tanzania and a 1 generation stone (meaning supply will be exhausted by next generation).

Remember the members only jackets from the '80's:rotfl:

brab done well on the well-deserved golden trophy to lori:goodvibes . She's surrounded by blue hairs today...whip out the aquanet!:thumbsup2

mac i think we have a refuge from the storm or would that be a refuge from all the :wizard:

mummy dust to sharon, not fun to be sick (i've gone to the track too, sorry...would like to think ala "santa's little helper" pet on The Simpsons they are rescued; something i really never thought about:guilty: )ps ur daughter looks like a princess!

tricia - i've taken my kids to the track:eek: ; not what u think..in wheeling it's indoor family atmosphere in the afternoons; it's where the grandparents wanted to do for their birthday present. Nice table, window seats and good meal. Didn't see any seedy types inside where u had to spend some bucks to get a spot. As i tell them, everything in moderation; of course; if any of them develop a gambling problem - they can blame it on me.

jennifer the more  's the better:thumbsup2 bet you're glad to be home.

hi ya fred, i listen to your satelliteXM radio channel on tv; like lucy too.

rose - waiting to hear about the derby!! i've still got all my DSs cars, several trophies too:cloud9: . They did sail boats too, such fun for the whole family.

hey homie keisha............looks like you struck gold.....or should i say that T word. forgot how to spell it already......

15 years. that is wonderful

is this a sign you are going to keep him? :rolleyes1

Hola everyone!

Just got home and boy am I pooped! Looooong swim meet, but the kids did OK.

Going to go out with the DF and then who knows:rolleyes1

Sharon: Feel better and I was wearing a gold shirt so we were :thumbsup2
