Oh, DH had a request for the you guys.....

His parents have a boat and they are trying to come up with a name for it...something amusing, yet appropriate.

Thought you creative ladies and gentlemen may have some ideas (one of his choices was "Bite Me" with a shark)

Thanks in advance!

DF WILL be around, for the first time ever! But I think I'm gonna take something a little stronger than the booze....codeine perhaps :thumbsup2

Just make sure you don't fall asleep! :headache: :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Opened mail & found a $300 bill from orthodontist. States they "misjudged" final insurance payment. Think i'm going to contest it, already paid an overage of $200+ & the braces came off early June.:headache: WWYD?

2nd Q - i'm not the scrapbooking sort. Finally got the vacation pics developed & in a large photo/scrap book. There's lots of room to write notations, etc. beside each photo/covering on paper. Is there a certain type of marker/pen I should use (sharpie?). Have a kit i bought a couple years ago, with stampers/stickers, etc...don't see any writing instruments though.

if i don't get back on, happy new years eve...have a drink on me:dance3: ...we're stayin in (DH has to work tomorrow @ 7 am), cooking some strip steaks/shrimp & salmon...yum. Even bought a fresh pineapple to broil:yay:

Send the ortho bill back to the dentist and complain that you paid what you were supposed to pay. Get the insurance company involved too..... You don't "quote" someone a price, render service and then go back and say..."Oh wait, we were wrong...you owe us more..." :sad2: Besides, treatment didn't last as long as it was supposed to either....came off early, right?

If you go to any scrapbooking store/craft store, they have pens (in many colors) for scrapbooking specifically. I use Zig or Artist pens....they usually have a 'fine' end and 'medium' end.... Dunno long term effects of Sharpie, but use it if you want to :confused3

Enjoy your night in with DH and your "yummies".....

Are we back again?

Sheesh. I tried to reply to the thread earlier and I got an error message saying this thread wasn't valid.

I know we jokingly refer to ourselves as the red headed step children of the DIS, but I had no idea we weren't "valid".

Hi all-
I haven't been able read up a few pages, hopefully later.

Want to wish all the homies here a Happy New Years Eve and Happy New Years Day!!! party:

We were just at Woodfield Mall today. Crowded as usual. Went to a few stores. Bought Matthew a pair of nice dark blue pants at JC Penneys,
for his band concert in a couple of weeks.
Went to the Disney Store(we had a giftcard someone gave us a yr ago I never used). Didn't find any t-shirts at the Disney Store Chrissy liked, but we bought Return to Neverland dvd and bought the 2008 WDW Birnbaum's planning book!!:cool1: I really had to talk DH into buying the book, as he didn't want to pay extra for it. So now we got the book to look at and plan a little :yay:

Thank you all for letting me know there isn't a UO planning DVD :guilty:
Is there a UO planning book, somewhat like Birnbaums WDW one? Or just any UO planning book? I haven't looked for that yet on the UO website.

Oh, any UO hotels you guys can request(on and off UO property) that would be $100 or less per night? Any of the Downtown Disney hotels that are good and have codes for them to get cheaper rates?
We haven't decided when we are going yet, but just beginning to think about hotels, planning books, etc.

Thanks in advance!:thanks:

New Years Eve plans: We are going out to dinner soon at Applebees(close to our house). Have a giftcard for Applebee's too! Then we will just stay home the rest of the night and watch the Rockin New Years Eve countdown, etc.
It's snowing pretty hard here now.

Sounds like a nice evening at home with the family :grouphug:

If you are looking for UO onsite hotel for around $100, you'll have to go off season and it will still be more than that. If you go off season and stay offsite, you'll probably do better with $100/nite or less :thumbsup2 (I always thought off peak times didn't "need" the room key for FOTL anyway...)

Get Kelly Monaghan's book Universal Orlando it's the best planning book for Universal I've come across ;) (Kelly also posts here on the DIS ;) )

Hope you have a wonderful time tonite.... Happy New Year to ya!

Hi to all :wave2:

:thumbsup2 Universal Orlando, The Ultimate Guide to the Ultimate Theme Park:banana: by our frequent poster "Mr" ;) Kelly Monaghan

an essential addition to your theme park commando arsenal:rotfl2: and it's nowhere as heavy to lug around either.

signup for mousesavers newsletter, comes out on the 15th of each month and travelzoo; both have had some great deals this year. Additionally, sign up for info on Sheraton Vistana website - we were able to book 4 nights last year (with no TS presentation to sit thru) via a postcard offer - less than $200. Values have some good rates during off season.

penny - the hockey tix (outdoors @ Buffalo sold out in 20 min.); they're wearing throwback uniforms - blue for the Pens:cheer2: . Local news reported it may be too cold/snowy & be postponed a day...haven't decided yet.

thanks barb, was worried the sharpies might bleed thru? Know i used regular pen before & it is fading. I get dazed & confused in craft stores...TMI to process. When's bubba's big playoff game(s)?

I have the 2007 Kelly Monaghan book Universal Orlando

DO NOT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT.
:surfweb:

it is a goldmine of info:goodvibes
