okay..............
we have gone from the jumping naked boys band
to the naked tongue swirling burger king.

OMFG
where on earth did the serpent like burger king come from???

Wait! First, the stores were empty?? As in NO shoppers? :confused3 AND...you already have your tree down? :confused3 What's goin' on?? :sad2: Don't tell me you're humbuggin too :sad2: (and, I didn't realize you lived so close to NYC ...close enuf, but yet far enuf..... :thumbsup2 That's cool to live close enuf for 'day trip' stuff if ya want...)

(oh, and Katie.....since you put your ticker in your sig, your snowman is cut off the bottom! )

First...yup there was no one around!! I couldn't believe it. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy it because we I had to go to practice at 9 am.

Second..my mom wanted the tree down because we are getting a new couch (hopefully) from Bob's this week.

And finally....I'm going to fix it as soon as I finish typing this sentence! ;)

 WOOOOO I love it!! Snaps for Penny!!

under theme parks and strategies is a thread titled:
friends and relatives call us stupid
it is 3 pages already
i just saw post #6

i think we have been insulted

I am not stupid!

Penny, great poetry as always!

I found the thread you were talking about. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1668187

I think post #6 is saying that stupid people are the ones that lable WDW as a "thrill" park. Then they are saying that they would label Universal as a "thrill" park: yes, but Disney: no.

Of course, that is perpetuating the notion that Universal is strictly thrills... which in itself is stupid... but I don't think they are calling Universal people stupid.

And that probably made no sense whatsoever...

thanks Tricia !

and thanks for clearing up about that thread.
I just wish folks would stop trying to campare the two, but then again, kinda like the Coke vs. Pepsi thing ...........

:rotfl2: Ah to be young and excited again.... :teeth: What's with the chairs? :confused3 That to keep them "out" till you get up? ;)

I wondered the same thing! Tricia?!:confused3

okay, you can all play.

who will win?

New England
or
New York Giants

New England. Duh.

Regarding that usher in your way.... I would have gotten his attention and said, "xcuse me.... i need to get a shot of my son, don't you know who I am?" (then let him 'stew about it' and try to figure it out!)
I thought you were going snowboarding? Or is that both?? :confused3 I'm sure you'll all have a great time!!!!

I'm still hoping to get DH to get the pics uploaded. Yes, we've now had this new camera since well before our Disney trip and I still haven't mastered this. I can still do our old camera if that helps!

And I stopped here at the computer to print out the ski checklist to get some serious packing done. Spent my time after work today putting away all the Christmas presents (not decorations or anything, just cleaning up the disaster left by yesterday!). So now I'm hoping to do some actual packing. And yes, we both ski and snowboard. Primarily ski, especially since this year we're trying a bunch of new areas and we never feel comfortable starting out on snowboards (we're not that good! :rotfl: ), but hopefully we'll squeeze some time in this weekend!

LOVE IT! :cool1:

Marcie - You sound busy, but good busy. Have fun on your skiing trip. I have never been on skis in my life.

So, you're saying skiing isn't big down there in Georgia? :confused3

Oh, and I didn't venture out today. I was out on Black Friday. That's enough!::yes::

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 TWO THUMBS UP FOR PENNY!!

The chairs were gifts. Spongebob Squarepants and Lightening McQueen saucer chairs for the boys. I'll try to get some pics of the "Santa Tree" up later.

We went shopping for outfits for the boys to wear for Idiot Nephew's rehearsal. I made them try on a bunch of stuff at home, but they have both gone through a growth spurt in the past month and nothing worked. Can you imagine dragging 2 boys away from a house full of new toys to go shopping for nice clothes? Yeah. It went over REAL big. There was much whining... some of it from the little ones...

We have Daniel outfitted completely... nice slacks, shirt, shoes. Joshua is proving to be a budding metrosexual. "No, I don't want the blue shirt. Blue shirts are boring. EVERYONE wears blue shirts. I want something in a nice yellow or soft orange." :snooty:

I think we have him slacks and a belt. The shirt and shoes are still question marks. :headache:

Ahhhh...I see :thumbsup2 new chairs that are gifts.... gotcha!! I hate draggin Bubba to clothes shop...mostly cuz it's difficult to fit anything on him :headache: ..but, I manage.... I can't imagine having such a 'young' metro on my hands  just him how he is is plenty....but even MORE picky!!!! :sad2: Good luck with that sister

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I DON'T THINK I HAVE EVER LAUGHED SO MUCH IN MY LIFE!!! That's just brilliant!! Round of applause for Barb!!

Love it Penny....

Just got in from an evening spent shopping with Amanda. :goodvibes

Yankee Candle is having a buy one, get one free sale on tons of stuff. I've got one of the jar candles burning right now. Its called Autumn woods. Smells pretty darn good!

Seeing as Talbots is in the same plaza as Yankee Candle, checked out their sale too. :rolleyes1 Came away with a couple sweaters and dress pants for work. Both 60 percent off! :woohoo:

Also hit up DSW. Hundreds, maybe thousands of shoes are 80 percent off. :woohoo: Amanda loves shoes just as much as I do. :cloud9: Between us we bought 8 pairs of shoes for just over $100! You should have seen the look on DH's face when we walked in with all the shoe bags! :scared1: He thinks whenever we buy new shoes we should throw away a pair from the closet...ahh, I don't think so! :rolleyes1

Stopped at Macys to return something and checked out the ornaments. All I could find to buy was some ornament hooks for a buck. I was at the register complaining to Amanda how sad it was to leave Macys with just ornament hooks, the cashier heard me so she gave me one of those big shopping bags so people would think I bought something good!

Had to return a defective humidifier to Target. Thought for sure the line at customer service would be a mile long. Nope, one person in front of me. They didn't have any more humidifiers thou. Guess I'll try online.

Not a bad evening! After working all day and shopping all night, I'm beat.

Hello Gang.

Hope your Christmas was cheery. We had a wonderful holiday here in Wild Wonderful West Virginia. Spent alot of time with family and enjoyed it (who knew).

Tomorrow is back to work day. So I'll get back to my routine.

Spent alot of time Sat and Sun making up digital photo frames for my mom and DH's dad. Got the printer/scanner hooked up and scanned some old pics for my mom of all 4 kids when we were young. Also scanned some of DS baby pics for FIL. These are great.

This is really a great gift and you can change it up by inserting a new memory card, flashdrive periodically.

Hope all is well with you.

how was the Mead anyway?
and, ummmmm, what exactly is it again?
It was excellent. I had some with dinner last night/afternoon. I only had two glasses, but almost everyone who tried it liked it.

Mead is the Drink of the Gods. And the Vikings. And the Renaissance. Mead is a wine made of fermented honey. The honey smell is very apparent and is NICE going down. Mmmmm. :drinking1 Supposedly the term "honeymoon" relates to young married couples receiving enough mead (honey) for a month/lunar cycle (moon). Mead is now one of two drinks (aside from mixed) that I actually LIKE. The other is some kinds of champagne (almond champagne FTW).

Also, I did something scary/impulsive today....I bought a car. :scared1:

Okay, I am thoroughly depressed. You worked all day and still managed to accomplish more shopping than I did. Sigh. :sad2:

I saw one of those digital frames for the first time last week when our Rite Aid put one on display (and on sale for... I want to say about $70). I thought it was SO cool! A picture frame that displays a slide show of a bunch of different pictures. Wow!

Now my wish list is:
A platter for every holiday/season to go on top of my china cabinet
AND
A digital frame

The only problem is, I'm the only one that shops for my wish list. Well, me and sometimes my mom. I rarely break down and spend money on myself... so, the wish list remains wishes for a LONG time.

Guess I have never tried mead. I thought it was horrible tasting stuff, but I might be thinking of mulled cider!
That's interesting about how the term honeymoon came about.

Hey, you can't leave us hanging like that. What did you buy for a car?!?!
