My fingers are so freakin sore.

WHO CAME UP WITH THE WHOLE IDEA TO TWISTY TIE EVERY DAMN TOY 10,000 TIMES TO THE BOX?

There should be a special room in Hades for the people that stole toys out of the box and made them necessary... and the inventor of the concept should have a room right next door.

I'm just saying...

I hear ya cause my DS 11 almost everything in twisty ties and damn old styro foam and now its everywhere and not to mention dad how does this work and can ya put in the batteries and after all that aggravating trying to take pies out of oven ended up burning my had and just wouldn't be the holidays if didn't burn a hand or fingers:rotfl2: Anyway Merry Christmas To all the homies and your families.

They had an article in the paper a few weeks ago about something called "wrap rage" which meant trying to deal with taking stuff out of the original plastic containers...I think this would apply as well.

Hi All-
I haven't been here in a couple of days, been pretty busy.
Just want to wish all the homies here a MERRY CHRISTMAS :santa:

We hardly been home the last couple of days. On Sunday, we went to visit DH's dad at the nursing home. Yesterday, we went to Christmas Eve service in the afternoon and then we went to my parents house afterwards for dinner and open gifts. This morning,of course the kids opened their gifts from Santa :santa: Then we watched bits and peices of the Disney parade. Then we had to go visit my grandma at the nursing home early this afternoon. Now we're home and DH is cooking some Christmas dinner, as I don't cook that much ;)

Hope everyone's kiddies got most of what they asked Santa for :goodvibes
My kids are happy of what they got :thumbsup2 The only thing we or I should say Santa couldn't find for hte kids was another Ninetendo DS console. Everyone was sold out of them ie, Target, Walmart, Meijer, Best Buy, Circuit City, Gamestop. DH tried everywhere since Sat. and couldnt find any. We do have one Nintendo DS that Chrissy monopolizes alot. So the kids will have to share the Ninetendo DS until we find another one after Christmas.
That's what happens when we wait til the last minute I suppose. I had mentioned to DH about 2 months ago we should buy another Ninetendo DS, but he said NO at the time. Well, we'll wait until some place has a supply of them. Matthew said he will be ok waiting for another DS. :)

DH did not buy me a laptop for Christmas, that's ok. He did buy a flat screen monitor for our computer, which we had an old- fashioned monitor before. Trying to get used to this gigantic screen  I am so behind the times

Ok, have a great rest of the Christmas day/evening everyone.

Just stopping by to say "Merry Christmas" to everyone! Hope everyone had a great day :)

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Let me just say that my days have not gotten ANY better. I can't remember the last thing I posted, but lets just start with Court having her tooth pulled out on Thursday. Friday zipped by and nothing monumental happened.....nothing got done either:eek:

Saturday - hmmmmm....Got the tree redecorated :thumbsup2 But that was about it.....

Sunday - ahhhhhh....yesterday went to Walmart bright and early (not Jodie's buttcrack of 6am early - but early nonetheless) and finished up the shopping. Came home and wrapped all of the family's presents. :thumbsup2 Watched a little football. Go to the grocery store for a few things - it was POURING RAIN and dark. Get what I need, go to back out of my spot, look over my shoulder and let the pour guy pass (he was getting soaked in the deluge). Take foot of the brake and start backing up and all of a sudden hear the most sickening sound ever......CRACKLE CRUNCH!!!! I was parked next to the cart return and the pole caught my wheel well and pulled the bumper out and well snapped my bumper! I must have misjudged how far I cut the wheel while waiting for the wet man to go by the rear of my car. I was horrified!!! So I cried....and cried and came home and cried some more. Jim was pretty good about it, he knows I am not a reckless driver or an airheaded one so he just hollered for a minute or two instead of hours ;) Did all of Frank's Santa wrapping last night, will do the girls tonight (boy, Kait's pile is going to look PITIFUL - small yet VERY expensive stuff) should only take about an hour.

Hey Tracie  for getting the tree decorated :rolleyes1 and  for Court.... and  about the car. At least Jim understands and didn't flip his lid....he shouldn't have yelled anyhows...being all you do for Christmas......

My mom always used to greet us on Christmas Eve with "Happy Christmas Eve Gift!" She said that her mother always used to do that and claimed that it was an old tradition that the first one to say it got a present. Of course, nobody ever got a present out of the deal... so it was just a goofy thing to do. I found myself shouting it out this morning. I've been brainwashed! :rotfl:

Now THAT is one tradition I've never heard of :confused3 Maybe you should "back collect" all those Xmas Eve gifts ;) (What a great way to get ya psyched for the holiday tho!)

Oh, I've got another one...

Me: pumpkin = pump-kin

In Laws: pumpkin = pun-can

:confused3

and I call DH "pun-kin" ;)

Ok, the tagger would bug me to no end! :rotfl:
My DH uses the word "broke" in the wrong tense. I would say, "Be careful, that glass is broken". He would say "Be careful, that glass is broke." Bugs me, but I know he's not going to change, so I don't nag him about it, more important things to nag about, right?!? :lmao: :lmao:

 Yep.... I think it's in the husband handbook.... :rotfl: to me.... I say "broked" :rotfl2:

I love the goofy things that family's do! When my sister and I were kids, we would go with mom to visit her father in the nursing home. On the way, there was this store with a large indian statue out front (Penny, you might have seen it, its on Rt 1 in Yarmouth). Mom would always say "Say hi to Chief Mug A Mug!". And we would shout out hi Chief. Kinda stupid, but we thought it was funny. I continued it with my kids. Mom still gets a kick out of it if I tell her we drove by and said hi. (Sorry if I offended anyone with the Chief Mug a Mug)

 Who (or what) is Chief Mug a Mug :confused3 )

......I managed to mangle my wedding ring. Ended up having to use needlenose pliers to bend it enough to even get it off.

 sorry to hear that Marcie...that sux! I know how you feel not having that ring there.....only ever had mine off 3x since I've gotten it. When I got fatter, got it resized. When I had Ryan, took it off so it wouldn't get 'stuck' and they'd HAVE to cut it off. And, when I got thinner again, resized smaller.... (DH said that's it...no more resizing....pick a weight and stick with it! )
Don't worry....hopefully warranty will cover it (altho $30 ain't bad?) and you'll have it back in no time and be back to being/looking 'married' again :rolleyes1

Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas. We are home until Dec. 26th and then down to our NEW HOME IN SOUTH CAROLINA until the 30th. We decided it was time to support the US economy after all the wonderful times it has given us at USF (heehee). Actually, DH is retiring and we thought it was a great investment. Of course, it will only be a part time home, but it sure is neat!

Hopefully, when we return, I can devote some regular time back to the boards. I miss all you guys!!!

I know you won't get this...but, good to hear you finally are making the move.... more/closer trips to UO :rolleyes1

Welcome to USA!!! We're glad to have the 'damo' family ;)

Congrats on the new home....(even if it is part time....;) )

Look forward to having you back here as a "regular" homie...... :grouphug:

.....otherwise just sit thru 24 hours of the Christmas Story

:rotfl2: i've seen that whole movie in the past 24 hours....but not from beginning to end....
seen it all jumbled up! :rotfl2:

Presents all wrapped & under the tree; even took youngest DS out to buy everyone gifts. Another procrastination story I'm afraid. He had stated he wasn't purchasing any this year. decided to bestow some :wizard: and picked up the tab & told him to save his dough after I saw he was buying Xbox 360 Halo for one brother & a PC game for Pa. Since he decided to open his near-depleted piggy bank amd be generous to others, I stepped in-think he finally gets it.popcorn::

Typical man...shopping at the last minute :sad2: (is that in that 'husband' handbook too??) That was nice of you and your son .... him for wanting to foot the bill, you for picking up the tab ;)

Shrimp platter is ready to go....

forgot to serve my shrimp....remembered 1/2 hour before dinner :headache: no time to thaw....screw it....hosting NY Day dinner here..... ;) ...will serve it then....

Morning folks...hope everyone got what they wanted.

I got some good news/bad news last night.

Good news: My cousin's family...who I have not seen in three years...is coming to Orlando this weekend. :woohoo:

Bad news: They want to meet at the Magic Kingdom Saturday afternoon.

I can't believe I'm going to get caught up in all those people! :sad2:

It will be great to see them so I guess it's worth it...especially for the kids since it's their first time in Florida. :thumbsup2

:cool1: Sounds like fun!!! You won't mind the people if you're with family...trust me!!! Everyone will have a great time...including the kids!....and they'll have their own personal tourguide!

Hopefully you'll have great weather, get some great pix and enjoy your visit!!!

 :lmao: yep..... I remember those days... everything twistie tied down :rotfl2: I just had heavy-duty scissors and cut them all..... Bubba was to impatient to wait for us to 'untwist' them ;)

....always a few bad apples ruin for the rest of us.... :sad2: (hope your poor fingers feels better soon :goodvibes )

I hate the 'static-y' mess styrofoam makes :headache: Hope the cheesecakes were worth that burnt hand....better your hand than wife's cheesecake I'm guessing :confused3

:lmao: Shoulda left one of my posts up and kept refreshing it.... :lmao: would have given him the countdonw down to the second!

I mean, he woke up this morning, started playing his computer game (in his room) and never came in to wake us. At around 8:30-9:00am, we got up and came downstairs. I hollered upstairs if he wanted breakfast, he said yes. So, I made him his pancakes and made him eat while looking at his gifts :rotfl2: That'll teach him to be excited at Christmas :snooty:

:rotfl:

oh, and Jodie... I thought of you today while you were working.... I toasted my glasses of wine to you

Merry Christmas all once again! (A least while there is still an hour left)
