well, i was too embarrassed to even ask what DBUI stood for.
still trying to figure it out.

Oh by the way, I mailed my ornabuddy yesterday.

Well gonna get some rest, which I desperately need!

I think that's great! Some people would say they were too uncomfortable or worry over the potential embarrassment or whatever. You are more concerned with the PERSON you are checking up on than what someone else might think of YOU. That is a wonderful attribute. I wanna be like Raven when I grow up.

we lost a car 2 weeks before christmas. Jim's 96 Camaro died.....and I mean no helpin it out....had to buy a new car (his current 2005 Equinox) two weeks before chiristmas But I agree - mummy dust and thaw out vibes for Lori!!!!

That's a shame...Merry Christmas...you HAVE to buy a new car ...then again, they usually run some good sale at the holidays.... Happy Honda-days comes to mind

That is like a few years ago when the mortgage company 'evalutated' our escrow.... found it to be $400 short They would either break it up into our "new" monthly payment (that was going up for the next year's escrow anyway) or we could lump pay .... due Dec. 29. Decided to lump pay.... AND learned my lesson. Since, I started budgeting for it... last year I had about $400 saved to pay it....the bill was only just over $100 ..... we had some extra Christmas money last year This year, have the same saved....bill came for just over $300...meh, not bad. So, a little extra Xmas cash this year..... and the funny thing is...the escrow only went up about $30/mth

That way, those who didn't want to participate in the ornabuddy thing (and, as Seinfeld would say, not that there's anything wrong with that) wouldn't have to scroll thru 5 to 10 pages of us oooohing and aaaaahing over our ornaments.

We could still post a brief what-we-got and why-we-bought-what-we-bought on the thread if others are interested.

That way, those who didn't want to participate in the ornabuddy thing (and, as Seinfeld would say, not that there's anything wrong with that) wouldn't have to scroll thru 5 to 10 pages of us oooohing and aaaaahing over our ornaments.

We could still post a brief what-we-got and why-we-bought-what-we-bought on the thread if others are interested.

Tracie....what are you getting there? Rain? We're getting sleet and rain .... not mixing...but seemingly going back and forth. One minute it's rain, the next sleet..... it just needs to RAIN and be done with that....

Oddly, the last outdoor soccer game (45 min. north of here in Blue Mtn) had their school closed today (granted, prolly more sleet/snow)...us? No delay or nuthin...but I'm betting an early dismissal....

Either way....think I'll run errands before the roads get bad. Just got an email that our holiday cards are ready for pickup at Walmart.... 55 photo cards for $18.88....can't beat that price!

You and everybody else! I got a recipe from a co-worker for Venetian Cookies. They are those Italian tri-color ones with the raspberry and apricot jam between the layers. I think that's what I will do doing the storm on Monday.
