that was the first thing i thought of also.

Well across from the tree, was this interesting sight..

It was a little less than a block long and filled with pennies. People were constantly throwing pennies! Just give me five minutes in that place....

Then we hit up the Disney Store....love this place!

And of course, for you Mac, this "Naked" individual!

Marcie, I did check out your DS's surfing video. It looks like he had a good time! You did good on posting it for your first try! We still haven't tried posting a video on youtube. Oh, and I am envious of your basement!!! Not many folks in southwest Arkansas have basements and it would be so nice to have all that space! Your DS is lucky to be gettin' it too, but like Barb said.....you might wanna put some cameras down there......privacy is good, but there is such a thing as too much privacy! (I'm a protective mom! maybe overprotective)
Katie, I love your NYC pics and the naked cowboy is just too funny!
Barb, we still don't know about DH's schedule for next year yet....so many changes going on right now, but I'm still shooting for June 22-26 (tentatively at least).

I haven't bought any Christmas cards, I have bought gifts for the kids and that's IT..... DH asked me what I wanted and I told him nothing......just our family to be together and put whatever he wanted to spend on me in the vacation fund....
I'll make cookies closer to Christmas, I did bake some for Thanksgiving.

I have a husband who likes to "tinker"....

......and here's the front window with the classic ceramic tree I made years ago......not exciting, but i live on a dead end street (no, not a cul de sac...a dead end....like road, then guardrail)...so, I don't decorate outside much.... who would i be trying to impress?? The neighbors that live past me I don't like (or know) anyway....

My grandmother has a ceramic tree that I bet is about like yours Barb!

And our tradition is: each year Bubba gets an ornament from us...it's the first one he puts on the tree. It usually has something to do with something 'significant' from that year. (For instance, 2004, his first trip to WDW, last year, UO ornament, a kid in a black belt karate uniform dated last year when he got his black belt, Nemo ornament because it was the first movie he ever saw in a theater...etc....) This year, nothing 'significant' happened, so we just got an ornament that said "SON" and I personalized it....(he didn't have a personalized one)....

Okay, couple more before I go to bed.....

Here's DH putting the last item on the tree...our angel. Bought it the year Bubba was born.... When he leaves home, he can take it with him and DH and I will go back to the sappy star we started with when we were first married and broke!

And, this would be a tired out kid from decorating the tree....

Well...that's all for tonite....I'm tired and hittin' the hay....will post more decs tomorrow.....

Oh, I forgot to tell you this....the body shop was supposed to be finished with DH's car on Friday.....well on Wednesday I took off work and DH and I went shopping in Texarkana (the town with all the shopping around here), which is where we rented a car. He said that we should go ahead and return the car, since we were over there and he was off until Saturday night.....well, on Thursday the body shop still said it would be ready on Friday and on Friday morning they said it would and we needed to call back at 4 PM.... DH called at 4 PM and they said that 2 of the parts wouldn't be in until MONDAY Meanwhile, DH is working nights, and yes is supposed to be off on tomorrow, but has been called for jury selection....... So guess who's gonna be afoot tomorrow?
