#1 son had his furnace go south on NY day (after just closing on home before Halloween); very calmly he called to report that he called "the right" HVAC co and paid for a new one (without a distress call home or sos for $s - hip, hip hooray ).

#3 son came home after basketball practice, very talkative over dinner table...as to how their class got to disect owls today ; he got an A+ since he "dug deep" and found a shrew in it's gullet ...dear old dad kept encouraging him to share. I'm still feeling green; whatever happened to frogs? Afraid to think what they'll be doing in 10th grade. This from the kid who oh-so-very-much hated his CSI class that cost me dearly @ Penn State a few summers ago

I slept a solid 7 hours last night!!!

A little pain today in the gum, probably from the needles....but let me tell you, I woke up with the biggest smile on my face

Jennifer...you have to resize your pix to 'small' size... I usually do it on my computer before I upload them to photobucket, but I believe you can resize them once they are in photobucket (try "edit" at the top)

Think I will get started this week so I don't end up doing what happened this past Christmas!

Just back after 2 weeks off to find I'm a 100 pages behind. I can't keep up.

I wanted to congratulate the Kansas Jayhawks on their Orange Bowl win. We went to Miami the day before yesterday and while walking around Bayside Marketplace and the Miami Heat game we felt like we were downtown Topeka! It is great to see the fans travel like that for a team. We told our Hooter's waitress that we weren't from Kansas and she laughed. We watched in amazement as fans went out on sight seeing boats outside on the bow in what we thought was one of the coldest days in memory. I guess Kansas has not been to a major bowl for 40 years so they were due.

I want to thank everyone that chooses Florida as their vacation destination. I hear a bunch of fussing this time of year from the locals when it is hard to get into restaurants, drive the roads, even shop the malls but that is what our State is all about so, "Ya'll come!" It's in the 40's this morning so you might not need to pack the swim suit.

with apologies to Mike, if you saw my mailman you'd run & hide . He likes to discuss vietnam. Lori (and anyone else interested) I think I posted at some point yesterday, but we have heat all over the house again. There was alot of air in the line feeding the second floor. Neighbor/plumber is a fatherly figure, so no "making out" with him. He scolded me again for leaving my garden hose hooked up to the outside spigot. And he was nice and didn't charge for fixing the heat this time. I think that is deserving of a case of beer left by his back door

I am carless today. Had to drop it off last night for inspection/oil change. Haven't even called in the claim for the bumper......just don't have the deductible ($500) to get it fixed immediately. There isn't really any exposed metal right now, so I am not too worried about rust, etc.

Off to get another cup of coffee.....since the triglyceride reveal, I have switched from the regular Vanilla Caramel creamer to the Sugar Free one - I don't use anything else in it and it took some getting used to, but I can't live without at least a pot of coffee under my belt each day

Kait (my 12 yo) talks more about politics than I......I hate politics, don't like to discuss voting for whomever - Just know that I didn't vote for Bush (either time) and really don't get into the candidates information until we are about 2 months away from the election. I have better things to do with my time between now and then

Janet, when you walk out of the Shrek souvy shop at the end of the show, look STRAIGHT across the street....Shrek & Donkey are there. Most tend to go left or right because you ARE coming OUT ONTO a side street Write a note to look straight ahead next time...kay?

Penny....facts are facts with who wins what state and such..... I, however, choose not to discuss my personal feelings regarding politics (I have the same rule at work) because my opinions and feelings may (and probably will) differ from others. I don't want to mistakenly hurt or offend someone else, therefore, you won't catch me posting regarding politics

And Brit-Brit....well...she doesn't deserve those kids...somebody smack her and tell her to get her act together... She's a washed up 'has been' popstar and is on the same road to disaster as AnnaNicole Feel bad for those kids tho
