this story is not about messes to clean up but about what happens when you have a litter of boys.

3 of my sons would play hide and seek in the house. it was fun.

one day when they were 5, 4 and 2.5, they put poor little todd in the hamper.

he fell asleep in there which i did not know at the time.. heck, i couldn't even find the kid in the house.

of course, brothers forgot where they put little brother.

the police found him all sweaty but he was all right.

i had the police and fire department on speed dial.

it is very difficult to think of a phone number when you are screaming and scared.

speed dial was my best friend back then.

I'm sure it wasn't funny than, but I got a chuckle out of it! ;)
Years ago, I had a small daycare in my home. :goodvibes One little girl who had only been with me for a week had been napping for a while. I went to check on her, and noticed her eyes were open. So I softly spoke to her, and she didn't respond. Didn't even blink. Scared the crap out of me. Found out later from her mom that she occasionally sleeps with her eyes open. Gee, I wish she had told me that ahead of time! :confused3 :upsidedow

OH, man... I would have been so relieved and SO MAD all at the same time!

I'm sure all of this will be funny with some time and distance... really... I'm sure... ;)

Whew! $500.00 because of a rusty gas cap? Wow...

I may be joining you. When we got to the Primary School this afternoon and parked, one of the back windows rolled down a couple of inches. No big deal, we were in a hurry and didn't think much about it. Got back in the car and are driving home and Joshua complains that his window is down and won't roll back up. He's right. No matter what we've tried, we can't get the window back up. Looks like a trip to the repair shop for us tomorrow. :sad2:

Thanks for all the compliments! I know it's not as detailed as a lot of the trip reports, but it's the best I can do down here with this wonderful connection and trying to type on a laptop keyboard!

Today we got up TOO early again to go surfing. DS12, 15 and I surfed, DH took pics, DS14 slept in! I didn't do as well today. Rode all big waves, but probably only stayed up about half the time. Guess it was just beginner's luck last time, but still had fun. The two boys of course showed marked improvement and were doing very well and having a great time. We rushed out of there right at 9am and hurried to Osprey Ridge where DH and DS12 then played 18 holes of golf in the sweltering weather. Went through 2 water bottles and 2 gatorade bottles each, filled their hats with water at each hole and dumped them on their heads, and said they were dry 5 minutes later. Picked them up around 3pm and DS12 came home and just melted into the sofa. We just had a bad storm for an hour or so and he finally got his second wind and is in the pool now.

Meanwhile, after they went to golf, DS15 and I went over to Downtown Disney to do some shopping. I also had a friend who's going to WDW in November and has some old tickets that she wanted to see how much was left on them so I went to Guest Relations there. Didn't tell them anything and just asked what was on them and they told me (which coincided with what my friend thought), but when I asked them if one was a child ticket and how you could tell (which she'd also thought), it was suddenly third degree time. Where I'd gotten them, etc. Explained the situation and the CM then refused to tell me anything more and was really witchy about it and the fact that she shouldn't even have told me anything since they weren't my tickets. Guess tomorrow when we go to MK, I'll take them, explain that they're MINE and ask a different (hopefully friendlier!) CM! I knew you had to do it in person, but didn't know they were so paranoid about it!

Then we came home and just relaxed - managed to read the entire Harry Potter book (7) today! It was just too hot to even bother going out in the pool and we were just too tired. DS12 has suddenly discovered Harry Potter and brought book 1. Since then we've had to go out and buy him books 2, 3, and 4 - he's just finishing 3, and hopefully 4 will hold him through the rest of the trip since he's not a super fast reader and we have them all at home.

DH and the older 2 boys are at DD tonight for Cirque. They called and said their seats were awesome, but haven't heard from them since then. Tomorrow we do CP for breakfast, then all the favorites one last time at MK. We plan to go back in the evening for Spectro, but that's probably about it (saw Wishes last time so we'll try to beat the crowd out!) Sorry today is so boring!

Oh, and Tricia - I have a lot of those days! Mine are more like "I haven't strangled any of them today so it must be a good day!"

Tricia , hopefully it is just the switch and you will not have to have the window put back on track or some other labor intensive expensive thing:eek:

the joys of automobile ownership. imagine if we had a full bullet trains across the country......NY to LA anywhere to FL......:rolleyes1

another few hundred years hovercrafts will be the in thing:rolleyes1

still got my ole' reliable broom though :lmao:

Funny Janet - I thought of you when I got the infraction with the 30 points deducted! I guess you were telling us something about your "points" situation at the meet? I don't remember the details, but I remember you and Todd talking about similar issues.

I guess we better behave...:rolleyes1

who me????:rotfl: guess we're the ones your mother warned you about. :rotfl2:

keep your nose clean (isn't that a disgusting saying?) & they'll roll off in no time:thumbsup2

yet another confirmation that no good deed goes unpunished;) when do you find out if she wins?

What a muggy night....

And to make matters worse, I have a ton of greenfly bites from Sunday that are itching me

And to make matters worse, my DF leaves for CA Thursday morning and won't be back until next Fri.

Sorry, had to vent a little....

who needs a jack-in-the-box to play with when you've got Todd-in-the-hamper?;) :lmao:nomination for ultimate son story:thumbsup2

penny - sorry to hear, that's a very expensive fix!!! wish it would've just been a loose cap.:sad2:

I've got a brake job due that i put off for 2 months, hope i didn't cut into the rotors; then will hold my breath next month on my caddy's inspection (it's a classic - naw, it's just plain old lol '93 only 110 K miles on it). DH hit a deer this spring, thought the insurance co would total it...nope, they dumped nearly $5K into it. I would've took 1/2 in cash & run.

marci - only teenage boys would play golf in the hot FL sun.:confused3 long as they're a having a good time. Just read they're closing the one WDW course, Eagle Pines.
