SoS is a culinary delight...have you priced the Armour Chipped Beef that comes in the glass jar lately (filet would be cheaper to serve).

always have been afraid to try that pre-packaged stuff, will have to give it a whirl.

Guess food is an acquired taste, i still remember stopping @ a roadside diner many years ago for lunch somewhere in North Carolina, we ordered BBQ sandwich & a hot dog. The BBQ was "nekie" vinegar - no red sauce & the hot dog was a flourescent-like rose red monstrosity.

Oh, fine. Rub it in. Somebody hand me something non-lethal to lob at Penny. :rotfl:

Throw this:

Yep, we have those hot dogs here in Maine, they crunch when you bite into them. yuck.

MF & Tricia ... I never, ever knew that you could actually EAT "sht on a shingle." Seriously. A recipe exists for it. That is definitely something new I learned today and will have to make this weekend.. :lmao:

but you don't cook..............:rolleyes1

Dear God,
1.gif

I cannot thank you enough for the wonderfull gift you have bestowed upon me. I am free and clear of relatives for Thanksgiving.I have no obligations , ANYWHERE, THE WHOLE FREAKIN' DAY. :rolleyes1
Thank you, and I promise not to rub it in too hard. well, maybe on the disboards to my fellow threaders. A few of them may lob a few things at me, but that is okay. Someone has to be free. This year it is me.
Thanks again Lord.
p.s. Thanks too for helping The Celtics.

I understand about the Red Sox winning the pennant.
The Yankees cannot win every year. :rolleyes1
I'll shut up now.
But next year the cardinals will come back to their glory. Remember us!

i grew up being served some pretty awful food. How about liver and onions, or shrimp wiggle or spinach from a can??!! Oh, i almost forgot the smelts...Gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

i grew up on that crap.
the best dinners ma made were scrambled eggs and potatoes.

 I remember the shrimp wiggle or pea wiggle or whatever it was.....:scared1:

I would not eat any of that stuff.

I also remember those nasty "fish sticks" .

Shephards pie was another dish I would not eat either.

I only eat all beef Kosher dogs and I am catholic from New Hampshire!

The cardinals!

I dont think so!

If I did not know better, I would say Mac grew up in my house. My sisters and brothers love that food. Well, the first six did. then there was me....THE 7TH CHILD,.......

dammm penny..............the fish sticks were the best thing we had for dinner on fridays....

penny must have added me in that prayer of hers as there is no cooking going on T Day at my joint this year.

i made lunch ressies for that day.
dinner will be the drive thru at burger king.

and the only people that will be here that day are the ones that live inside our four walls.

DS is leaving in the morning for a school trip to Montreal. I have to drop him off at the high school at 5:30, hopefully I can crawl back into bed for a few hours. He's really excited. There are 15 kids and two teachers going. They are attending a model U.N. conference at McGill University.
James was assigned to be a step brother of Saddam Hussein for the conference. This guy was the ambassador to the U.N. during the 1990s serving on the human rights committee, and was also managing Saddam's personal finances and covertly purchasing advanced weaponry. Nice guy...not

Two more days until I can be warm again!!! :goodvibes We've been invited over to my cousin's house for dinner on sunday night. They live on the intercoastal in a house that i can only afford in my dreams. Jeez, I can't even afford the boat moored at the dock! Oh-well, its fun to visit anyways! They have taken their two young kids to Africa on safari not once but twice! The older one actually has a head of some kind of deer she shot on her bedroom wall. Scares the crap out of her little friends.
I need to help DS finish packing. Might be back later.

The cardinals!

I agree!

the food that we had to eat was unbelievable.
fried bologna was a regular on our table.....
so were pancakes, eggs, potatoes and can stuff.

to this day, i still can not eat spam

whoever is messing with my posts stop doing that!

I AM NOT A CARDINALS FAN!

my house still needs fixing but did get my car back from the shop today:dance3:

Hello Gang!

I made through all the posts I missed - it's just part of my anal personality.:lmao:

The house is still not put back together yet - the carpet is down and looks nice. We are now trying to get all the furniture back in the room and rearranged. Hopefully, we should be in good shape by Sunday night.:cool1:

I am traveling on business - so I am sitting in my lovely Super 8 room surfing the net. (We are about 2.5 hour drive from home.) I left this morning and will get home Friday evening.

The Super 8 sure isn't like the Hard Rock Hotel!!!!!!

Hope to be able to keep up with you all from now on.

Wait, this wasn't the step brother who was executed, is it? The one whose hanging went so badly he was decapitated?

Sh*t on a shingle is not chipped beef on toast at our house. My dad brought the recipe home from the Navy where he was stationed at Pearl Harbor. It's ground beef browned, add tomato juice, flour to thicken, and a teaspoon of sugar. Mmmm, good sh*t for breakfast or dinner.
Living in south Texas we would always go to Mexico for Christmas dinner and have cabrito or baby goats .:santa: I always said, "I love kids, if they are properly prepared.":stir:

Mac- This eel was over 4' long and they cut and fried it like steaks. It was the darkest meat sea creature I'd every seen. The house smelled bad for the whole summer! I think the English eat something called eel pie if the Simpson's are accurate.

Uh, yeah, I wasn't going to bring that up! This guy served on the Human Rights Commission at the same time he was having his countrymen killed.

James got off this morning without a hitch. He is not a morning person! No snow in the forcast either, so should be smooth driving to Canada. It's about a 6 hour drive from here.

morning homies.
2 more work days this week and then the weekend begins.

gotta get ready for work.
see ya when the skool bell rings.......:teacher:
