Todd...sorry to hear about yer tv...I agree...time for a new digital :thumbsup2 Electronics are made to be disposable, it would cost just as much to fix as getting a new one. Look on the bright side, at least it's at tax time (hopefully you get a rebate ;) )
Well...a funny thing happened...it starting working again. I know it's probably just a temporary thing but at least I can now go out and do some window shopping before it dies on me.

Oh. My. Heavens.

It's GEMMA!!!

She's alive! She didn't get killed by the drug lords on her block at Uni! She didn't pass out in a ditch and forget to call us! And...

SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND!

what will the King do now?:confused3

welcome home gemma:goodvibes

I'm just sick...I was watching my television just now and the picture went out! I get no picture at all...nothing. The sound is good but I'm thinking the picture tube is gone.

I don't know if I should repair it or get a new one. It's a 27" Toshiba that's about 10 years old and has never given me any trouble at all.

What should I do?

go to best buy, pick up a HD flatscreen & enjoy:) ...make sure ur signed up for the rewards programs for the points/gimmies:thumbsup2

Well...I'm outta here for the evening.

Thanks for the advice and moral support.

Have a good evening!

evening all. I had an awesome day yesterday. I started the day off a little upset because someone covered my store so I could get a day off and they rearranged all my stuff, which bugs the bejebus out of me. Well, I go to check my email, and there was one in there about recent mystery shopper results. I scan through it.......and I won $100 for doing an awesome job with my mystery shopper!!!!!!!!!

congrats, so nice to hear u were rewarded:thumbsup2

before economy tanked (1st time 9-11) i worked part time in this field as contractor for many large companies - fast food, table serve, soft drinks, retail, dentists, u name it...unfortunately it turned into mostly loss prevention type assignments & ammo when they wanted to terminate somebody...not my cup of tea:confused3

Broker i dealt with went out of business, evidently; most corps r doing their own inhouse monitoring now (or using peeps they recruit off the street:rolleyes1 ) & cutting out the middle guys...anyway, good show:banana: have fun spending the dough

ps speaking of the show, very cool u got the gig u wanted

kewl...
now you are rich!

Had some pretty incredible weather here this evening. First, of course right during rush hour, it was almost completely whiteout conditions. At first I was driving faster than I would have liked, just so that I could see a car in front of me and know where the road was. Of course that didn't last very long before we ended up crawling. FINALLY made it home and got all the snow/ice off my car and 10 minutes later Stephen called for a ride home from the HS (musical practice). I was seriously about to tell him to just find a blanket and crash there for the night! :rotfl:

Then the storms started. Sorry, but I've never experienced lightning and thunder in the midst of blizzard-like conditions! I was home at the time, and kept hearing the thunder and trying to figure out what it could be. Then I happened to be looking out the window and saw the huge flash before the next batch. I quickly yelled to my kids who were all like  "Yes, mom, it's been doing that for awhile!" Meanwhile you could hardly see the end of the driveway because the snow was coming down so quickly. :confused3 I don't know - thunder snow I thought I'd heard of, but lightning too?

Anyways, it's pretty much stopped now so I guess the kids are stuck going to school tomorrow. ;) Probably got 6 inches, but in about 3 hours. They're saying a couple more but it looks like a lot of it went north of us (heavy snow). Rain south!

And yes, Stephen was nice enough to share his germs with me so I've been hacking like crazy today too. Enough to keep everyone away from me at work, which is always a plus!

marci, i hear you, i hate driving in those type of conditions also.

i just watched the weather news and you are getting the same as what is coming out of MN.

looks bad for you.

we are getting the heavy rains and storms.

to answer your question, yes..
we get lightning storms during snowstorms more than i like to.

kind of eerie.

hope you don't get sick and feel better in the morning.

catch you all later.
have to make a run to Game Stop for a pre ordered PS3 game.
they are doing the midnight sell tonight.

btw, I found the $158 rt fare on Watch Dog for my orlando trip.

Bonny, i wish you and Lee luck on getting cheaper fares.
the last 2 years i flew, bargains were tough to come by. they could be had but i used the two websites to get some ok deals.

some of the airlines are dropping prices on a few routes.

maybe you will find some for your area.

Niki...buy UO tickets now...price will only go up....(esp. w/ RRR and HP coming)

Mike...so...SW IS on Yapta? I hadn't checked it out yet...then again, I sit at the computer the day/time our air opens. By doing so, this year I was able to score $59 pp/ow on SW. About 2-3 weeks later, that $59 going down, is now $145 pp :scared1: Glad it opened cheap...saved us some $$. :goodvibes:

Hi Barb
I was watching Yapta for Airtran and USAir flights to Atlanta, we are going there for 3 days for my nephew's graduation before we go to Orlando. Southwest doesn't fly into Atlanta

I did get good prices with Airtran though, total (with all taxes and fees) for Sherry and I to go to Atlanta from Philly on Airtran is $151 (and that is with the $12 charge to pre-pick our seats (gotta make sure we're together :-), so the total is really $139 for the 2 of us, not to bad. I got the same price from Atlanta to Orlando as well, that one was tricky, they wanted $129 to go from Atl to MCO, I waited it out, checked Airtran every day and eventually got the $54 flight (it went back up the next day to over $100 again) I did my usual with SW, I bought our return flight at $99, then checked every day and eventually got the return from MCO to Philly for $59, so now we have $80 credit for our HHN adventure, nice, I love SW.......

Morning everyone.

Janet...just checked flights...still $59 comin home (doubt it'll be cheaper than that!) and the $145 to fly down dropped to $109. Still doubt I'll score cheaper than $59. I don't mind paying $400 roundtrip for the 3 of us...we're okay with that.

Raven...$158 rt for your trip is a pretty sweet deal! :woohoo: Is that coming or going?

Looks like you did pretty well Mike. Friends of ours are going to Disney in May and even with checked bag fee, it's cheaper for them to fly USAir than SW :confused3 To each their own...go with what's cheap for you!

Todd...glad you have some time to shop for what you want. At least you can watch tv on your computer in the meantime. Get something real nice :thumbsup2

Congrats on the 'found' vacation $ Rob ;) Free money is the best kind!

Apparently I was wrong about resting yesterday....feel worse today...AND, haveta work :guilty: Be a looong day!

Yeah...now I'm thinking a 32" and a new stand instead of the old one would be nice...The old stand is too damned heavy and hard to move anyway.
