Morning all...back at work today.

sorry you had to go back to work today but glad to hear you are feeling better.

DD is sick today. Came out of school yesterday looking like a train hit her. Then temp of 103.

At least when she's sick, she stays in bed sleeping all day. Not a lot of "Mommmm...get me some tea, get me some more covers, take my temp..."

My neighbor told me that 500 kids were absent at the high school yesterday.

now you have to wait for your other kids to share what your dd has....
oh no.........

hope she gets over the sickness real soon and feels better hopefully today.

500 kids absent is a LOT!

Had a wee incident this morning.......

I had taken the boy to school and I was getting ready for work.

I opened the kitchen door to be met by what I thought was smoke.

I turned to run,slipped on the wood flooring , handed flat on my face bashing my nose.

I duck and covered SAS style to the door !!!




Dont panic youse guys.......smoke turned out to be steam.

I had put the kettle on and forgot to replace the lid !!!

Once my heart rate had return to some were near normal my first thought was " thank god I was home alone and no-one saw me "

Guess I'll never be a fire fighter.

need to book a hotel in Miami, south beach, pre cruise in Dec...anybody have any suggestions? want to be close enough to walk to art deco district, not bunk in it lol

HI Homies-
Had to pick up Matthew from school yest, sick. Still sick this morning, so stayed home from school today Slight fever, cough, sore throat.
Hope to get him back to school tomorrow but we'll see how he does. He's been at the computer most of the day today.
Guess this cold/ flu stuff is going around.

Hardly watched the president's speech last night, but Nancy Pelosi's face, well, DH and I commented she looked like the Joker!
(I call her San Fran Gran Nan)- from a radio talk show host I listen to

I just booked a week at the Hard Rock for summer -- can I play here? I've heard a rumor about some cookies!

My dh basically refuses to set foot on Disney property unless we are running, and ds and I are coaster junkies...so we are skipping the Mouse and going for the Universal gusto!

We spent a week at RPR in '07, and found it to be paradise. I'm also a Barb groupie, I love the TRs!

TOO many days till spring if ya ask me Can't help you w/ Miami...I've only stayed at the Fountain Blue (or however it's spelled)...was fancy smanchee. Looked expensive (I didn't pay...had free ride )
