Heard the history on the radio about the Terrible Towel--I never knew it. Some of the Steelers didn't want the towel--thought it would jinx them. Myron took a poll and rest is history.

And you had to put that skunk water up on my screen?:)

it's an icon...yet i don't drink it regularly...sort of beer u grab on a hot day when u'll only be needing one to hit the spot;)

Well we're out of the ice age, for now and the power is back on.

How is everyone this fine Monday afternoon?

no hanging from the 'bowl here

im in shock over what i paid for SW tix though for 3 of us

$1032:faint:

in Oct same route cost $637:confused3

same ballpark for last few years

stinks imo

especially since it appears that the city of brotherly luv is once again getting all the 'luv' in the state, good for those on this board that do fly from there:thumbsup2

i called SW, they state they can command a higher price out of PIT as they don't have much competition; AT is also in the same price range:crazy2:

and the economy is tanking, travel is down...evidently not outta the 'burg

ding dong - vent over:rolleyes2

... it seems the fares we got a year or so ago for $350/pp return are no longer. :sad1: Fares for our May 2009 trip are running around $710/pp. Same with our October 2009 trip ... :scared:

Hi all-
I need to catch up and read a few pages here when I have a chance.
I have a bad head cold :guilty: Sneezed about 100 times yest and sneezed alot today, watery eyes, etc. Taking Advil cold and sinus stuff, but not doing a whole lot for me.

I was so tired yest during the Superbowl, but managed to see most of the commercials. Enjoyed the Anheiser- Busch ones, with the horses, esp the "love horses"-cute! ALso enjoyed the Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head car commercial! The Boss was great :thumbsup2
Jennifer Hudson did a fantastic job :thumbsup2
Hoping Cardinals would have won, oh well.

Hi to all :wave2:

gotta run.

I went on Southwest's page to see if they could give me a better deal through their vacation package out of PIT to MCO. Did you see if that could get you a better savings?

Afternoon all! We are getting some much needed rain today and tonight. Then the cool down begins again! :sad2:

I feel for you guys that cannot hop in a car for a short drive to enjoy Orlando.

Hello all

Dave ... Our thoughts for a speedy recovery ..:grouphug:

Busy again . Me and DH celebrated our anniversary yesterday . Then today it was the same old run around. Up at 5 then off to work at 7:20 . From work at 2 went to DD's school to get her for bowling then off from bowling to drop off the car pool kids . Home to DH ,DD2 and DS to feed everyone and then do HW with DS . It is 8:15 and I am just sitting down . i still need to clean up the kitchen and get stuff together for the morning . AHHH I am so tired I could sleep now.

I hope everyone is well . I am worried again that I may get PINK EYE for the like 900th million time . What is it with parents sending their kids to school sick. This kid by the time 8th period came around today his eyes were all red and swollen . The nurse wasn't sure if it was pink eye but sent him home ... NEVER MIND ME ...AHHH

going to get myself together and then I will be going to sleep maybe I will BBL if I can keep my eyes open that long..LOL

everytime i think im paying thru the nose, all i need to do is see the high fares from Canada & parts up in Northern part of US...it is all relative, i should just be happy to be able to travel i suppose.

I went on Southwest's page to see if they could give me a better deal through their vacation package out of PIT to MCO. Did you see if that could get you a better savings?

naw, im already booked U w/upgrade (have APs & a set of tix i stockpiled when they were less than $70 last year;) im a compulsive planner lol), plus booked a platinum pkg for 3 nights before the DVC (was supposed to be my splurge, looks like the airfare maybe now:confused3 travel budget starting to strain @ the seams...maybe if we quit eating one day a week:rolleyes2 )

I feel for you guys that cannot hop in a car for a short drive to enjoy Orlando.

my DH said we should just hop in the car...i reminded him it's 22 hrs for us...he came to his senses:crazy2:

have a good night all:smokin:
