Yeah, I'm shaking my head here thinking the same thing! :sad2: Ours are about $3000 a year. We opted not to live in Green Bay itself (we're in one of the smaller villages/suburbs) since the taxes there would have been closer to $4000!

You guys all need to move to the hills--West Virginia Hills, that is. :thumbsup2
That's still more than double what I pay. And unlike more than 1/2 the states out there, right at this particular moment, WV is in the black.:rotfl:

And I do wear shoes and have most of my teeth:rotfl:

I'm reposting the copy of the redneck tank top that "yens guys" suggested that I wear a few months ago:

bonny - it's a deal if ur going to be there for enough days, woo-hoo, still going on ur cruise?

Nope no cruise this time ... we were going to do it in January but then decided to cancel those plans. We'll get to do it one of these trips.

Bonnie
We will miss each other by 1 DAY! We are going to Atlanta from 5-20 to 5-23 (nephew's graduation), then to Orlando from 5-23 to 5-31........... (5-23 to 30 is a timeshare exchange)
Bummer!

So I'm in the new ABD website.

Clicky

I'm in the last picture, the one all the way on the right.
That's so cool :thumbsup2

it's 5 o'oclock somewhere:thumbsup2

bonny - hang in there, have a feeling they'll be rolling out some great deals next year re crusing

i found ut my school tax is going up next year...approx $49;) , that increase i can handle:)

i too am just amazed as to the taxes peeps pay outside my 'lil hamlet...hope ur cost of living, etc. is in sync:confused3 i'd be renting @ that those tariffs

did a couple returns today, something is amiss imo, refunds seem lower...appears as though the standard tax withholding was lower on the w-2s:scratchin

i shamefully admit that my tax refund is a thinly disguised vacation fund :guilty: (seems to be the only way i can 'hide it' from my spawn who always seem to 'need' something so desperately on payday:sad: oh the tears lol)

i freely let uncle sam make some interest on me every year...we all have to do our part:p

I couldnt imagine paying $10,000 a year in property taxes.:sad2:

We get homestead break and ours is only $500 a year..Well till the next property appraiser comes back..

In Florida or my county at least, the gas tax is high among other things. But it keeps the property taxes down. But they jacked up the impact fees for new construction to $9,000.One of the highest in the state!!:sad1:

Well goodnight all..I'm wore out.Tommorrow is Friday:woohoo:

Okay, I'm getting tired of all the Canadians whining about the cold and snow. ;) I went walking this morning and brought my camera along to take a few pics to show you guys. And no the snow isn't pretty and white any more since it's been almost a week since we've had any! Brown and dingy and icky! Anyways, first, our house and snowbanks - yes, we finally have the drive cleared:

Another view. Since I know you can't read my flag from here, I'll just tell you all that it says "Let it snow. Someplace else!" :rotfl:

A top House Democrat who is a leading critic of the Iraq war says he would have no qualms about transferring Guantanamo detainees to a prison in his Pennsylvania district.

Suspected terrorists at the military's detention center in Cuba are "no more dangerous in my district than in Guantanamo," Rep. John Murtha told Fox News on Wednesday.

I hope that the CDtBL Musical will be like Evil Dead: The Musical and be corny, cheesy, campy, and most of all, absolutely hilarious.

todd, or other FLA peeps 'in the know' stumbled across this rumour re NM before Xmas dark ride @ MGM...do u think it has teeth (oh i hope so!)

interesting bit re phrase 'more intense Halloween after-hours event', probably as 'scary' as they'll ever get:confused3 don't think it'll ever begin to siphon the HHN crowd

(brought over from mouseplanet)http://www.mouseplanet.com/articles.php?art=wd080520mg

A couple of interesting rumors popped up during my research trip over the weekend. First up, there's a hot rumor circulating that George Lucas will make an appearance at some point during Star Wars Weekends (the final weekend has been mentioned a lot, but nothing is certain) while he visits to take a look at progress on Star Tours 2.0. It's likely that the reinvigorated development for a new version of the attraction is linked to Disney's attempt to convince Lucas to let them broadcast the upcoming live-action Star Wars-based television series (Warner Brothers won the battle to show the "Clone Wars" series.)
The second rumor is that, following the use of the old Hunchback theater at the Streets of America backlot for the Star Wars Weekend talk show events, it will be reconverted to house a Nightmare Before Christmas-based dark ride, as seen on the Disneyland and

If this comes to pass, it will complement not only Disney's Christmas offering, but the more intense Halloween after-hours event they are trying to push for the Studios. In addition, it would help the transition of Grad Nite events to the Studios.
The final rumor involves space adjacent to Toy Story Mania. This one says that there will be a Cars-themed attraction there in time for the release of Cars 2 in 2012.
Those are rumors, not confirmed, so take them for what they're wor
