Happy New Years Eve all!!

This will be the 1st new years eve in a long time that I'm going too do nothing at all but watch TV!! Safer that way!!

We too have nothing exciting planned for this evening - too darn cold and snowy to even try venturing out anywhere

... plus this is one night I don't trust the drivers out there - it's much safer to just stay home

The Million Dollar Quartet is not a band concert.

it is a play production of the couple of hours jam session with elvis presley, chet akins, jerry lee lewis and johnny cash at a recording studio.

That sounds like a lot of fun! We used to live right outside Memphis for a few years. Have you ever been to Graceland? Elvis was an eternal kid with too much money and the curse of 70s decorating.

Hope you really enjoy the show.



Kids are already in bed. Brent has been falling asleep all evening. We're always too tired to make a big deal out of New Year's. So I'll wake Brent at midnight, drink some sparkling apple juice with him, and go to bed.

I hope everyone stayed safe and did their own thing last night.....I think I drank a little too much wine

We just went down the street (3 houses) to our friends house and had dinner and walked home around 10:15pm. Remember we have 2 small kiddies...tho they had a blast because our friends have 2 kids as well!!!!

Happy New Years 2009 to all!!

The 4 of us went out to Red Robin last night for dinner. It was pretty good The service was very good and it wasn't extremely crowded!
We went to Applebees across the street from us last NYE. It was horrible! No silverware- had to use plastic forks, spoons, knives. The service was real slow and the restaurant wasn't crowded. They burnt half of our dinner order It was pretty bad overall. We did have some kind of small snowstorm last NYE, so I'm guessing half the staff didn't show up. Never really got an explanation at Applebees why the service was bad. Oh well.
I told DH not going there again on NYE or any holiday, so Red Robin was a very good choice



mac-thanks for explaining about the show. I googled about it b4 you had posted the synopsis of the show yest. Hope it was a great show for you and Mr. mac!

I spent New Years Eve in bed, so no PUI from me.

I hope there is a kinder, gentler year in store.

I'm off to cook the traditional New Years Day dish for our area. Black eye peas (for luck), turnip greens (for prosperity), and pork loin (just because it goes with peas and greens).

andy i quit watching pushing dasies (think writer's strike maybe, so many programs lost steam then), shame it's been cancelled - so quirky

tricia - from ur lips! good year for all never tried black eyed peas (like the group lol); we do pork/kraut, baked beans & shrimp here. I always cook mine for a good 8 hours NYE & we feast for 2 days. im still waiting for a male type to come thru the door 1st (good luck too)

this year, christmas and new years will fall on a Saturday.
will make an easier work week then.
none of this get off work on a weekday for the holiday, go back next day to work and then off for the weekend........whew........really messes with the schedules here....
