Something About Nothing..........#6

Hello all!

For all of you in the colder climes, I send you warm thoughts! It's weirdly warm here, I took a walk at lunch and didn't even need a coat. I'm telling you, if you want it warm, buy a snow blower!

We returned from our weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge. The kids had a fabulous time although my oldest (11) still refuses to go on waterslides. My youngest (8) didn't have any problem with them though! The kids both did "MagiQuest", an interactive game played throughout the hallways of the hotel. My son in particular loved it!

But.... does anyone else have vacations all planned in their minds and then things don't quite go how you planned? My daughter caught a cold just before leaving for the weekend and coughed all weekend... My hubby just "wasn't into it" and spent quite a bit of time in the room, reading....

I'm working hard on remembering the good parts. And I'm feeling quite sad that it's over.. I guess it's typical end-of-vacation blues.... Ack.....

I wasn't sure if I should attempt to do a little trippie.. Maybe I will. I'd like to do it with the photo links in the words like I've seen Bubba's Mom do. I'll have to do a little research on how it's done.

Yes Elyse we love trippies. I hate the post vacations blues. I hate it so much I seem to have gotten into the habit of postponing vacations so I don't go through it.

I really really really wanna do HHN, but the price tag for Disney sounds really good. lol We'll see, cause if I can't afford the deposit by Friday it'll have to be HHN (the buy 4 get 3 free ends on the 20, well right now it does).

I would take the extra few months and save it for HHN19..
And possibaly do the RIP tour!! You wont regret it!!

Hey Donald...I am still MIA...goodness...I am just lucky to have a job...so many without jobs...my heart goes to them and here I am working my "a" off and I just got a raise....YAHOO...not avery big one, but it is one! I get paid monthly so there really is no such thing as "overtime" and we also get bonuses...remember Clark Griswold in "Christmas Vacation"??? Well us salary folks count on our bonuses and I got a raise and finally got my bonus this month, even though we are in "economic stress".....So my thoughts and prayers go out to those who don't have a job....

Your right there is so many peeps out of work Its not going too get any better anytime soon!!
This is not as personal as some may think but I'm in construction and its looking bleek for my future in this field.So I was a nurse(LPN)15 yrs ago. So I can fall back on that.Just need to brush up on some schooling to retake the test..My DW is a nurse and the medical field is always going too be there!!

I'm too lazy too do it that way(I like getting my post count up )But its easy,start a photobucket account of coarse and have diffrent albulms-then paste and copy

Now they're saying in addition to the wind chills of 25 below tomorrow night, that we're also getting 5 inches of snow. Yeah, THAT'll be fun to go out and shovel!

EPRV - go ahead and do the trippie separately so you have your own thread to save and refer back to. I still go back and reread my Disney TR just because it's fun to read and remember all the stuff we did. A year or two down the line you'll have forgotten all of the trip and it's a great way to have it somewhere!

yes elyse, please a trippie...don't let it fall by the wayside i have yet to finish one from July , after xmas for sure . we haven't tried great wolf yet, but did really like Kalahari in sandusy

another chime in for jobs for the gang here my DH is again laid off for a week & vacation next week, think it's his 3rd in 2 months , being 'short' on payday is far better than 'no' payday

hey all getting ready to turn in for the night. One quick question though . As I sit here and ponder the fact that DH will be 40 in Oct. I was wondering when they will post prices for the HRH in Oct of 09 ? I am still considering the trip to do HHN if I can get another group to join us . Help split the cost of the room . Any how off to finish Christmas cards and get the done.

Janet - Stephen and I are possibly planning a trip for late August/early Sept if they offer the free dining. Matt and Royce are flying out to Vail next month in conjunction with a visit to the Air Force Academy. Either way, Matt and Eric have no interest in Disney anymore. When Stephen and I were talking about it the other day, Matt overheard a bit of it and came in and asked "We're going to Disney AGAIN? WHY?!" So no, I don't feel bad about leaving them out! Eric and Matt are also playing HS soccer, and couldn't miss any time then. Royce would like to come, but since he spent this week skiing in Colorado and will be there again in January, also I'm just not feeling too bad about him either! Eric is so interested in his Rubik's cube stuff, that he'd rather do a bunch of short trips (like the one to Indiana this past weekend) for those competitions than anything Disney.

But right now it's just in the "if they offer free dining, and the school schedule is what I think it is and we can get cheap airfare" stage!
