Okay, I'm not in Wisconsin or Illinois or anywhere else that has the right to complain about the cold for months on end. This is my rare opportunity to whine.

It was 9 degrees when we got up this morning. NINE. No number before or after it. Just nine all by itself. NINE.

Our high today was 30. Woo friggin hoo. It is supposed to be as cold, if not colder, tonight... but warming up some tomorrow.

I don't own clothing designed for these temps. They say layers keep you warm. I'm thinking of wearing all of my clothes.

I repeat:

40 above zero:
Georgians don coats, thermal underwear, gloves,
wool hats.
People in Wisconsin throw on a flannel shirt

Just sayin'!

i would give you my first born son for your weather.......

Did I mention I was offering my first born son in exchange for just about anything right now? Yeah, I'd take warmer weather for him anyday!

Oh, and let's see. It's currently -8, with a wind chill of -24...

AND THAT'S THE WARMEST IT'S BEEN IN ALMOST 3 DAYS!!!

The Mardi Gras line up is not bad.But for us Floridians there is another place that has great concerts.Its not as glitzy or have rides or anything,but its not that far of a drive from Orlando..

You may or may not be interested...I saw the other day that Fleetwood mac is coming to Amway on April 20th...which is a Monday. I'm going!

dont try and return him to Circuit city-- all those stores are closing. if you dont have a receipt, wal mart takes back anything they sell. I was a blue light special at k-mart.

Are you a Buffy fan? I have a t-shirt with a music staff and colored notes that says, "There's nothing we can't face, except for bunnies." I also have a t-shirt with Betty Boop on it holding a stake in her hand with a vampire leaning over her shoulder. The caption says Betty the Vampire Slayer. If it's not too ragged by October, I'll wear it to HHN.

I want your Buffy shirt!! I love the Buffy musical episode. It is pure genius. Have you seen "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog"? Its written by Joss Whedon and has Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion in it. Also pure genius.

Okay, on a different note, Matt got his acceptance to the summer program at the Air Force Academy today!

He and Royce joined a message board (like this, but for colleges) and there's a section for the Air Force Academy. Mostly kids who are already cadets or seniors looking to go there next year. Well, Royce was just glancing at it and saw a thread that someone had posted that they'd been accepted. Matt didn't get an email or letter (like it said you would), but the poster said when they logged into their account, that it showed them as accepted.

I thought maybe they were just trying to stress the rest of us out, but logged into Matt's just in case and it said he was accepted! We got to choose the dates and everything. Was just looking at air fare. Yeah, not cheap, but okay. He's supposed to get all the registration information online on January 20th, so I think I'll hold off on air until then. But we're excited for him if you couldn't tell.

I must say it is a tad chilly in my area today !!
cAN'T SAY SCHOOL HAS EVER BEEN CANCELED IN THESE PARTS BECAUSE IT IS too cold, kids just don't get recess or only a few minutes of fresh air!!!

... it was warm here today (and will be for the next few days too)... even was melting and sloppy driving today

I must find that blog! I love Joss Whedon. He's one of the must unapprecaited talents in show biz. We have the whole Buffy series on DVD, and Firefly, too. I have the soundtrack for the Buffy musical in the car. Love it!

Circelli - it's melting here again today

Actually melting this early in the year is very unusual - normally we're in a deep freeze for at least a week - melting like this usually doesn't happen until March ... not that we're complaining

It's a little warmer today...high of 64 expected. We won't return to normal until 1/26...according to the forecasts.
