Good Thursday morning everyone

I finally got to see Rick Springfield in concert. His show was the first show at a brand new amphitheater in Richmond. His voice has changed significantly since his younger years, but he put on a great show. I was amazed at how active he was onstage. He’s going to be 76 in August.

That is so cool. I did not know that he was still out touring.

He climbed up into the seats near me while singing the song Human Touch. (Yes, I got to touch him. 14 year old me was screaming internally.)

Glad to hear you were able to let that inner 14 year old girl scream again.

Ship was RCCL’s oldest & smallest, had great itinerary & the price was right . Could fit two of it into our fav ship - Utopia. Booked it again for add on to Dec trip as we had such a nice time sailing her last year.

Great to hear you and your hubby had such a nice cruise.

Happy 70th to the Mr. He figured out a cruise as we headed south (west) on I-4 after WDW. Didn’t know what line or ship or itinerary or how many nights until he got to the ship .

Congrats on keeping the secret on your trip cruise.

He enjoyed 2 celebratory meals in the ship’s steakhouse, serenaded the BD song by the staff both times, another go-round in the main dining room. He protested, believe he secretly enjoyed it. He’s such a quiet, unassuming guy; nice to see him shine.

Happy to hear he was celebrated on his special day.

The biggest boy. So many fish in shallow waters, they were enjoying the buffet.

Another sunny day here. I will take that over the rain we had for sure.

I did a few things in the yard yesterday. Flowers are blooming well and tomato plants look healthy. The grass is green and lush. Nice time of year here.

I have to go out for a few things today then quiet day planned around here.

Made meat sauce today for the troops, everyone wants a different sort of pasta. It’s nearly 90 degrees, humid and air quality is terrible thanks to the Canadian fires…to point you can almost see the air! I had to run to bank and grab some Italian bread. My lungs were aching by the time I got home, nebulizer time. So glad to have that on standby when I need it. No chancing going out in our pool, I’m staying in rest of day.

I’m starting to dread the 4th of July temps in Orlando. Thinking we will be rope dropping, back to hotel/pools, then back in parks after dinner time.

If anyone is watching the US Open coverage, wave…we are right across the river on another mountain top. Yes, we do keep trying to see our home, don’t think that is going to happen. Haven’t seen the blimp yet, lots of small planes towing banners though.

Ours literally did nothing over last month as so cold & way too much rain. It was in the high 30’s the morning when we left for last trip. Ground still is really heavy and impossible to work as so saturated. Do expect what we have planted should take off sooner vs later. One bright spot, the lettuce is lovely along with other cold weather plants that have usually gone to seed by now.

It was far more difficult that I had expected as I normally share everything with the Mr. Caught myself multiple times leading up to trip.

Had somebody tell me it ‘was a baby’. IDK biggest shark I’ve seen in the wild & we’ve snorkeled many reefs in the Caribbean. What really is creepy looking in my book are the moray eels.

Happy Friday the 13th. No plans for me this weekend. I think I will spend most of the day today stitching. I am almost at the halfway point of my large project. Once I get there I will take a break and start a new, smaller project. I am planning to do something in memory of my mom.

Countdown is still that, and highly thinking of a two day routine week day week, as lunchtime flight, and rather get that suitcase out the day before, rather than in the early morning before we leave. So closer even if I do.

Are you going to Epic on this trip? I really want to go back, but not in this heat. My next trip in in 205 days.

He was at EPCOT back in March. Unfortunately his performance was the day after we left. He is currently touring with other artists from the 80’s.

You are a much braver person than I. We briefly considered a late July trip but we both decided we can’t take the heat.



I’m waiting for Universal to release tickets for January. I will need to purchase all parks for dh and Epic tickets for myself. I plan to renew my AP in December. I hope by then there will be an AP option that includes EPIC.

Well, it started out as we took youngest DS that week as only time in summer no sports/activity camps. Continued tradition with solo trips with GD once he opted out. Also, fits the bill with her schedule.

Every year as I'm slowly dissolving into a molten puddle there, state I'm never doing it again. That resolve lasts until the 11 month window to book DVC rolls around lol

I can confirm that August has been even more miserable weather wise there

I hope by then there will be an AP option that includes EPIC.

Also, believe it will likely include all the parks, have black out days (if only for epic portion) and rival the cost of WDWs

Unfortunately at Disney there is only one option available for non FL residents who are not DVC members. If Disney had more options for out of state people like Universal does, I might would buy an AP. I am currently just a seasonal pass holder at Universal. I can work around the blockout dates.

Yes, we had to upgrade one when they changed the dates several years back for an already booked trip. It was at least another $200 as I recall.

We dropped down to U seasonal
A couple of years ago. Would like to see any new Epic AP offered before we need to renew in October. If not, may just let our's go and renew before the next trip

Yeah, my kids won’t go to Chipotle, Keisha. Did see that freebee offer, too. We did do a Wawa run, as no one was that hungry at lunch, and DH gets his large cup of coffee for a dollar there. And older one remarked as we left there, wish it was Sheetz. Actually, me too, but the closest one is an hours drive. We have 3 Wawas within a few minutes drive.

And, everyone was so warm feeling today, fresh fruit with chicken on the grill was a late time diner, as fresh corn cobs on that grill too. Easy and quick enough for a feeling like summer, hot day. But rain coming every day for the next week, as predicted. We will see. Hoping not to rain the day we take off on our flight next week. Count down now a one digit. Squeal! But not much Universal this time, though will stop by there on our day arriving and day we are leaving. Gotta get a little use of those passes too. Do have 2 days of Epic in our fall trip.

Woot! Friday the 13th it is today. My oldest niece was born on such a day, Friday the 13th of that month, that year. As such, will never forget her birthday date. ha ha.

Chilling, tonight, as Father’s Day weekend this weekend.

Ah, and thank you, cold front arriving tonight, and bringing us a rainy and much cooler weather weekend. 90 degrees was today. Our house AC has been running much more lately. It’s like Mother Nature turned the summer switch on as we turned the calendar to June. And yeah, still at the end of Spring though, to get these cold fronts dipping the temp 20 degrees, as 66 the high on Sunday. Boo. Pants still in the drawer. They will, most likely, be worn this weekend. Sigh. Was with shorts and flip flops today. And, my sunglasses.
