Meanwhile, we are having a weird cold snap here. Today it was just in the 50’s and rainy. Tomorrow should be in the mid 60’s. I think someone accidentally turned off Spring.

She's down with shows and rides up to about Slinky Dog. The only extreme rides she'll do is Rockn Rollercoaster and Mummy.

Did Battle at the Ministry have a drop? I'm wondering if it has a freefall drop feeling on the ride, I don't like straight down drops and wondering if the ride has that.

Ah yes, cool and rainy today. 61 my high temp. And rain chances every day until Sunday, when we dry out in the early morning. Sigh. Agree, Charade, I’m ready for those steady hot and humid summer days, sooner rather than later.

Ah yes, still in his red, white and blue on this week day routine day that started with that holiday Monday. Shore has officially opened, and yay, another holiday, on a Thursday this year, before camel wears his red, white and blue for that July holiday, which happily is on a Friday this year. Woot! June starts the first day of next week, this Sunday. Woot! Summer starts the 20th of June. Woot! Bring on those summer hot feeling days starting the beginning of June.

But as we are on that mid week day, Wednesday, it is the day we feel like getting over that hump of a day feeling, then fabulous Friday only a day away. Yay!

And aunt funeral for me, then my off day, so a two day week day routine week for me. Yay. Decided, after a three day weekend, a four day one makes so much sense. Late morning funeral, so decided to take the whole day off. To commute for a few hours seems like a waste. Hence afternoon fun to be had. Alarm turned off. Woot!

Greetings from a slow Thursday. It’s been a rather dull week here. Nothing interesting to post about.

Hey all! Sitting in airport hotel counting hours till I kidnap the Mr tomorrow for the mystery 70th BD trip. He's still playing along no idea where or how long.

Hope he is enjoying his birthday surprise.

I’m okay with the temps. Not too fond of the rain though.
Your wife is braver than I with the coasters. I have never ridden Rockin Rollercoaster.

Complaints galore re the 'plus size' Ariel. No, she is absolutely not- in any real world, lovely & talented young lady.

Sorry to hear. 'Lil is tossing out hints for us to drive to phillie the third weekend of next month to see her at annual New Balance competition there. I can only imagine how the already heavy traffic there worsens for such a large event. Just a few days before next trip, think I'm going to pass on it

Maybe not running, you surely can take credit for instilling a sense of dedication & perseverance

quick hi!!!!

Busy busy busy here. Work is busy with more stupid drama happening. Oh well, I just put my head down and try to stay out of it.

Outside of work is busy too. Busy with kids and grand kiddo. We are starting to do some much needed yard renovations in both the front and back yard. Out with the old, and in with the new.

DH will be sporting a new set of wheels next week. A dream car he's always wanted, is now his reality. So he's a pretty happy camper.


One more re down, and we are off to the finals!!! Another rematch again this year. Hoping we can win it and bring the cup home.

Well, off to close up some windows and head to bed.

Outside of work is busy too. Busy with kids and grand kiddo. We are starting to do some much needed yard renovations in both the front and back yard. Out with the old, and in with the new.

Good morning from Nassau. Today is devoted as a search for a corkscrew in town.

Forgot to bring one, ship provided a plastic one that performed as expected, screw broke off in the cork. That's something I've never seen in the past

Yesterday, Bimini, first time. Unspoiled and uncrowded. Saw a 5+ foot sting or manta ray glide past us & lots of other sea life

Robbie - did you wear a headscarf? Youngest DS on his 2nd new Camaro convertible. Prefer to be passenger in it. Only drove a couple times, have to pay attention as such a big engine, tends to take off on me lol

Funeral was nice, thanks for asking Keisha. Was the second to last of my aunts left on my dad’s side. Almost all were cousins of mine, and we filled most of the church. My dad’s family was so big, I have fifth cousins that are closer to my kids age, and most of my first cousins are in their 70’s and 80’s.

Ah, stretch of beautiful weather. So sunny today. Though we have hazy skies due to the fires in Canada.

Taco Tuesday, but no one is interested in such. Maybe pasta, maybe soup and sandwiches. I’m not that hungry yet, as noshed in the office. Don’t know what got into the exit, but they blocked one lane coming out, and took me even longer to exit. I guess so many of us like to leave when I do, so was not fun merging two lanes, as hard to see the closed gate until almost too near it. Sigh. That city traffic I will never miss.

Ah quiet as the summertime coming around soon. But thankful, as at mid week already.

And who do I see?



Yay, camel is here. Waiting for all to say, get over this hump of a day feeling Wednesday, and Friday then only a day away. Woot!

Long week for me, so waiting for that end of week day routine on Friday. At least it’s pay day one this week. Then one less week for that every week day city commute.

Little one, hey can we do a holiday cruise if we like the one we are going on soon? Ooh should I look at the ones for this year? And, for some park fun before or after or both. Hmm. I will have unlimited time off before that maybe trip. Woot! Almost ready for some more plotting and scheming planning.

And another sunny and warm day, before another cold front comes along, you guessed it, this weekend. Seems to be a pattern. But yay, 61 degrees and humid feeling as I walked out the door in that predawn hour. Where, almost did not need the lights now. And 87 the high. Ah yes, those awesome hot and humid summer days become much more frequent as we travel through this month. Summer. Heat and so humid, fires up that stormy weather. And those spectacular summer storms, that I so liked watching from my home’s large front porch as a kid, with my dad. Still do, though from an inside window now. Like the one I saw when enjoying food and drink at Strong Water, through their huge windows. But as most pop up storms, they are fast, and the sunshine comes back, and you are like what just happened? And some, after they are over, lower the humidity, and some, crank it up. Warm weather loving homie. So ready for that steamy hot weather.

Ah, Fabulous Friday is here, and 61 when I came Wednesday morning, 69 yesterday, and that pre dawn ride saw 71 this early morning commute. 87 the high, with sunny morning and cloudy afternoon. Cold front arriving, but hey, enjoying this humid and warm summer day feeling today.



Ah yes, so ready to enjoy that weekend relaxing, starting mid afternoon. Just have to get through my shortest week day routine day, and will be ready for a lunchtime walk for sure, already. It’s so nice out. Sunshine pouring through my office window.

Yay, Summer solstice is two weeks away, with it being 21 June at almost 11 am, my time zone. So looking forward to being in shorts and a t shirt day and night. Ooh and means our fun time before that start to the summer season. Yay, next week, will take a three day weekend, followed by a three day week day routine week, followed by a fun week. Woot! June is sailing by fast.

It is a rainy start to the day here in our neck of the woods. Looks like the forcast has it predicted to rain all weekend. Will take it as it comes.

A few house chores to do this morning.

We have hubby’s brother and wife coming in for a short visit. I have the guest bedroom and bathroom freshened up and ready. They come in late this evening for a couple of nights. Always nice to see family.

I saw they dropped a little information HHN yesterday. Nice to see some info roll out. Still a little on the fence about HHN this year. Will see how it goes.

Ah those Monday mornings, blues. Alarm goes off, and I’m like ugh. Was drizzling, and roads very wet, as that very dark, with rainy, dark gray cloud cover, so no moon or stars to see on that first day of week day routine early start commute.

But at least, decided for a three day weekend this week, before next week, with a holiday in it, and makes it an even shorter week day routine one. Woot! Fun time coming up sooner than later.

And haircut this week. Need that pampered haircut time, before that three day weekend this coming weekend.

Time for a tea cup refill. Almost too cold in the office today.

Quick hello. Hope everyone is well. It has been so quiet here lately.

I finally got to see Rick Springfield in concert. His show was the first show at a brand new amphitheater in Richmond. His voice has changed significantly since his younger years, but he put on a great show. I was amazed at how active he was onstage. He’s going to be 76 in August.



He climbed up into the seats near me while singing the song Human Touch. (Yes, I got to touch him. 14 year old me was screaming internally.)

Hey all, we are back from the loveliest trip. Nice and relaxed, it’s been a couple of years since we sailed for 7 nights.

Ship was RCCL’s oldest & smallest, had great itinerary & the price was right . Could fit two of it into our fav ship - Utopia. Booked it again for add on to Dec trip as we had such a nice time sailing her last year.


Happy 70th to the Mr. He figured out a cruise as we headed south (west) on I-4 after WDW. Didn’t know what line or ship or itinerary or how many nights until he got to the ship .

Proof positive that I can take it (a secret) to the grave!

He enjoyed 2 celebratory meals in the ship’s steakhouse, serenaded the BD song by the staff both times, another go-round in the main dining room. He protested, believe he secretly enjoyed it. He’s such a quite, unassuming guy; nice to see him shine.


Nassau is a bit of a meh for us, file it under been there, done that. Bimini, coco cay (sprung for the private beach club there) & Key West were awesome.

Coco Cay we swam (unplanned) with 2 small barracuda (they scare me, left the water until they left fearing a school of them as we ran into snorkeling once elsewhere). Went back in & saw 3 lemon sharks, a sand shark & large stingray. largest shark & stingray were 5 feet plus. They stayed in their lane, we stayed in ours - the shallower water. Wasn’t about to swim over them out to the sand bar





The biggest boy. So many fish in shallow waters, they were enjoying the buffet.


Bimini is just beautiful, undeveloped and unspoiled.


Key West, was wilder than expected lol. Did see the infamous Robert the Doll @ the civil war fort out by the airport. Can’t post his pic as to wanting to follow the lore to the “T”. Quite the story there for horror fans, admittedly; creepier than I had expected. Toured the rest of area on the Trolley, well worth it as a hop on hop off sort with narrated tour.

Happy to enjoy the elusive ruby red shrimp @ the conch republic restaurant. Not on the menu, it’s a secret item, hit or miss if the fisherman managed to net any that day. They have a bit of lobster taste to them & are huge. Highly recommend the place.



Not the best picture, thot this interesting. Ship had a stowaway lol. He showed up the 2nd to last day. Assume since sailing off the gulf coast he decided to hitch a ride.


Finished up @ the Tampa Aquarium, much nicer than expected & they stored our luggage. Then took the free Trolley for a ride around town before it was time to head to airport for flight home.

Best part…we head out on the 27th with GD for annual 4th of July trip woot!

We are 2 weeks from our fun.
