Happy Saturday. I am having a mostly lazy day. Tonight dh and I are going to some sort of Rat Pack tribute show. Not really my thing, but I agreed to go since he is taking me to see Rick Springfield next month.

Vacation was great. Dh and I did absolutely nothing, but decide if it was a beach chair or pool chair day and belly up to the buffet and restaurants for dinner.

Sounds super relaxing.

I have been dealing with some health issues the last year, and I have finally put some little pieces of the puzzle together. I have an appointment with my doctor on Monday. I am hoping that I am on the right track and hopefully have some testing done to confirm my suspicions.

Key West

I went there once back when we first moved to FL in 1997. I remember eating at Sloppy Joe’s and going to the buoy. My camera broke on that trip, so I don’t have any pictures. When are you planning on going?

You might be lucky. They were surprising folks with park views.

That would be awesome but I won’t get my hopes up. I had a lovely view of the parking lot at Stella Nova.

I was and I still was unable to get a VQ after 6 try’s. I would get in and get a time and immediately hit submit and it was gone everytime.

You got farther than I did. I couldn’t even get times to show up.

Ran into my first ‘hidden tarriff’ surcharge today. Caught it before check out and removed from cart.

We return to Cancun area - close to Playa Del Carmen. We went to an adults only resort - which was great! I would highly recommend this resort to others. It was quiet, low key. If you are wanting a high party resort....this is NOT the one for you. They did have lots of fun adult things to do, but if you were looking for an all night disco - you won't find it there. The food was amazing as well.

That sounds amazing. Dh and I were just talking today about how we would love it if Disney would have an adults only event. It would need to be a nighttime, separate ticket event like Disney after dark, but I am sure it would sell out.

I had a surprise this afternoon. Dh and I went to Sam’s Club and B ran some errands and went for a hair cut. She has always just had the ends trimmed. Today she went from this:

To just above shoulder length. It looks really cute. I told her that it might curl even more now.

I will need to be smart with my vacation time. I have 3 weeks, along with 3 personal leave days as well as one stat float day to use.

It can be a challenge to fit in all those bucket list trips lol Have fun planning!

Had a friend with that sort of hair texture get hers cut when Starting search for professional employment Stylist must not have had experience in that regard Wanted it shoulder length. Wound up fluffing/springing up into a ball shape. Thankfully, a more seasoned girl in salon was able to fix it, but wound up really short & layered

The show had Dean, Sammy, and Frank represented. I think they did a good job of portraying the Rat Pack. I just don’t care for the music. I think I was one of the youngest people in the audience.

Hubby and I have been to Key West a few times and enjoyed our visits there. It has been a number of years ago. Needless to say as with many tourist areas it has changed.

I had a very nice Mother’s Day yesterday. Received some nice phone calls from family.

Granddaughter M and her hubby L hosted a nice Mother’s Day lunch at their house. It was ribs and pulled pork and all the trimmings. It was a wonderful meal and so nice to see everyone. They are so sweet.

I’am so thankful for all my family.

Hubby and I returned home full to brim. I went out and planted some flowers in my mail box planters and a few pots on my back porch.

It started out being 56 yesterday morning when I woke up then reached 80 degrees by 3 pm. Beautiful day.

Thursday evening we had a big storm come through which brought a significant amount of hail of various sizes and it sheared limbs and leaves out of the trees. I was concerned for awhile that we could have some busted windows, but thankfully we did not.

When I went out Saturday to do a little gardening I found a solid ice pile of accumulated hale behind a tree near the house and it was 72 degrees out.

Quiet here this morning with a little bit of drizzle outside.

Enjoying my coffee this morning.

I have a number of business phone calls this morning then a couple of errands.

Going to get over to the TR and get going on getting some of the pictures from Epic up before I start the morning in the office.

Did a lot of driving today, I’m obviously out of practice, as beat. On the bright side, should sleep like a log tonight.

4th post op check up went well. No appointments with any of the team until September. Will be glad to get off that hamster wheel. Was all cleared for trip with the basic, expected restrictions. Happy I’m healed to point where I can swim in the pools & ocean .

Charade - that is a big difference for your DD. Had to laugh, staring the mirror on Mother’s Day, wondering what to do with the mop on my head; decided that I wanted to pay homage to my mother by wearing one of her favorite hair styles from my youth.

That same flip look lol. Everything old is new again! My boys all got a big smile on their faces. What’s funny is I used so much hair spray, I’m still rocking that helmet hair.

It was a wonderful meal and so nice to see everyone. They are so sweet.

It’s odd how prevalent hail has become here the last few years. Noticed so many auto repair places now have big signs up they handle insurance claims for hail damage.

Ah, hey, can anyone send the ark? Heavy rain in the wee hours of this morning, was loud enough as woke me up, and left me with a headache. Was a foggy and puddly predawn commute. But was ready, sneakers made to be water resistant, rain jacket and golf umbrella. Though ack, my slacks got a little wet, as my raincoat doesn’t cover all my leg, and the wet area, as they are drying are leaving stains. Sigh. Thankfully, I already planned for a lazy Friday. One more day of commute. And why is that?

Loud and clear can hear ya, in this very wet and rainy morning, and day. Finally at that mid week day, where we say, get over this hump of a day feeling Wednesday, then Fabulous Friday feeling only a day away. Thank goodness.

Hehe, asked little one why not extend our visit after that sea fun. And so, with our APs and a cheap enough BC ressie, flight changed, and mouse fun for double the time. Yay. Well, with a night at a cheap I drive Potter hotel, as those APs need a bonus day to enjoy too. And gotta use that 40 off a meal at several restaurants with that AP discount meal deal, when we are there. Little one is happy, as the one I made the reservation at, is the only one of the ones that are on that discount restaurant short list, that she would enjoy eating at. So yay for the mouse to offer some summer fun AP discounts that we can take advantage of now. Hehe, going to enjoy more trips, to use up those fun hours. Should be a lady of leisure before this year ends. Woot! Decided, why not enjoy my time while I am still mobile, and healthy. And will be so happy to not drive into the city when it’s blessedly cold out there.

Most Wonderful Wednesday to all. Hope you do not get that heavy rain at times weather today, like me. At least it is just rain, not hail, freezing rain, sleet or snow. 61 out, though with the windy rain, my phone weather app says more like 51. Yeah, but oh so muggy feeling in that cooler feeling foggy wet start.

Though have that sweater open jacket on already. And that cup of tea. Woot! Week day routine this week almost done. Woot!

Slow work day today. It’s actually been a slow week. I have nothing interesting to talk about.

Going to get over to the TR and get going on getting some of the pictures from Epic up before I start the morning in the office.

She has the flip without any hair product. I have encouraged her to try to work with the curl and see how it looks.

Ding ding we have a winner! Up against all seniors & our girl managed to medal in one of her events (long jump, just one inch short of her HS record no less) & move forward to state competition next week . Nice to see her hard work pay off.

Got quite the sunburn yesterday, ouch. Odd, as I have a very light base tan and it was overcast majority of the day.

Hmm….it may be more cost effective for her to purchase a seasonal pass. She could book her own room at the AP rate. She could get Stella Nova or Terra Luna for less than $100 per night.
I don’t see any packages available for 2026 yet. I’m going to suggest she go ahead and book the hotel. I doubt the rates will get any lower.

She could always modify within same resort if they do drop

This year the first time I was unable to modify online when price dropped on our res end of June (terra Luna)

Called in, on hold 1/2 hour plus, then lost the connection as agent was processing the adjustment Waited an hour. no call back from her; Nor, did I get an email re change

Wound up booking a new res @ the lower rate & cancelling the first.

No idea if that was a fluke or modifying online is no longer a thing there. If do, will miss it!

I don’t calling most of the time. I just book the better room rate online, then cancel the old one online, after I get the email confirmation of the new rate ressie.

After a morning of stay inside, lightning in the area warnings on my phone, the sun was somewhat out on the way home. Yay!

Alarm off, and chilling after all wanted pasta for dinner, with older one adding a grilled cheese as a side. I’m still full, and done enjoying a nice cup of tea not much after dinner.

So looking forward to be moving slow tomorrow. Ah week day routine done for this week. Woot! Though cold front arriving early this weekend, hence stormy end of this week predicted.

Happy Friday. Today is going to be a semi-lazy day. I'm doing laundry, but will also spend most of the day stitching.

I told B about my idea for the next trip and she immediately replied that she can't afford the Helios Grand. I told her she could book a value hotel. She didn't seem too happy about that. I suppose I could let her stay with us, but I know dh was expecting a vacation with just the 2 of us. I also don't know what adding a third person would do to our room rate. I got such an incredible price on the room and I don't want to do anything to mess with it. She says she only wants to go to Epic Universe and not the other parks, so I don't think buying an AP is the best way to go unless they add an Epic AP before the end of the year. We still have some time to figure this out.

Rainy stormy start to the day here.

Coffee in hand just kicked back and enjoying my morning.

I have been up in my office past couple of days cleaning out file drawers. Lots more to do. Plan is to go room by room and get rid of any unused items. Always feels good to do a good declutter.

Hubby and I are going to go to our favorite Chinese restaurant for lunch. It is owned by a nice young fellow and his family. The food is very good,

Hubby has had a hankering for Chinese food for awhile so we will enjoy that today.

Not much else on the agenda today.
