LaGuardia was actually a pleasant surprise. Our arrival and departure gates were in the same area. I don’t know if that’s always the case though.
I’ve been through Philadelphia once. It is a large airport. I have a 3 hour layover going to Orlando and an hour and 20 minutes coming back.

My sister K told me those are his favorite shoes to wear. They are croc shoes with a shark on top. He always picks those to wear over his other shoes.

Even though we are known for putting catsup on nearly everything in Pittsburgh…

Yuck…..ketchup and marshmallow chicks………that is just wrong……LOL

First time ever, bought a frozen lemon merengue pie, oh the shame lol. The mr will help make his pumpkin pies tomorrow. Just can’t handle cooking for a crowd or the egg hunt we’ve aways had. Next year will be back in fine form

Every single year I plant tulips, something digs them up over the winter. Eternal optimist, picked up yellow ones today. More hyacinths too, I only have purple, grabbed some pink ones; which I didn’t know was a thing.

The squirrels love flower bulbs. I was told many years ago to put pea pebbles on top of the bulbs when you plant them. Supposedly once the squirrels dig down and hit the little rocks they will stop digging.

I tried it and it did not help. I have to think the squirrels were in the trees laughing as I wasted all that time…..LOL

My husband told me he saw the squirrels running around with Tulip bulb debris on their whiskers……LOL

Tulips are so pretty though in the Spring.

Have menus been posted anywhere? I haven’t found any yet.

Universal does not have anything that I can see about Epic menus yet on their site.

Happy Saturday. When B gets off work we are headed to NC to spend Easter with dh’s sister. We will get to meet more of the extended family.

Yesterday I drove to Roanoke for my TSA precheck interview. I just now got an email with
My Known Traveler Number. I did’t expect it to be that quick.

Universal does not have anything that I can see about Epic menus yet on their site.

I hope they post something before I go. I’d like to have an idea of where I want to eat before I get there.

My Helios trip is in January. This trip I’m going cheaper and staying at Stella Nova. I suppose I could still go the restaurant at Helios, but I will probably just do quick service on this trip.

Hey all. It went to 84 degrees here today. Had to put the ceiling fans on high. Took a hot minute to remember I had to switch their direction from winter mode. Duh

Surprised GD & DiL with their favorite disney meal…so help me, it’s the chopped salad @ The Boathouse lol. It’s a hearty one (iceberg-romaine, sliced grilled chicken, salami, cherry tomatoes, Greek & green olives, red onions, pepperoncini, artichokes, white cheddar and chopped bacon with vinaigrette dressing).

Made some chicken soup to start it off, may have created a couple of monsters as they asked if any leftovers to go


Turkey breasts already made for tomorrow, will pop ham in oven early. Thankful the Mr has been my sous chef and all around major domo. .

My husband told me he saw the squirrels running around with Tulip bulb debris on their whiskers……LOL

Good morning everyone. I have the day off today. Dh has decided that he wants TSA Precheck too, so we are driving out to Roanoke again today. I think I might do a little shopping while we are out there.

Speaking of Roanoke, I just changed my flight again. I am now flying out of Roanoke which is only an hour from home instead of 2.5 hours for Richmond. I won’t have to leave home at 7:00 am to be on time for my flight. New flight departs at 12:46 pm. I might even be able to sweet talk dh into driving me so I don’t have to pay parking fees.

Family went to pirate game, they go large with box seats/dining & mascot interaction. The parrot is indeed a hoot.

Ah, all the fun everyone is having. Not me. Only traffic I had, two lights wait to get into the complex. Guess everyone was an early bird arrival like me.

And a woot! Beautiful weather finally here. 76 the high today, and a mostly sunny day. No jacket. But a sweater jacket may be on soon, as office feels a bit cool now.

And who do I see?



Ah camel enjoying that sunshine too. And wishing everyone a happy hump day, as this Wednesday is mid week, so Friday only a day away, when hump feeling today is over. And I’m ever so glad.

Yay to Charade to have a closer airport and lunchtime flight, instead of early morning one.

So ready for that lunchtime walk. But at least sunshine is shining light through my window. And wish my sunglasses reflected where camel is. Kids did go down the beach yesterday. Said was crowded. Well yeah, a nice warmer day yesterday too. And a woot, as coconut macaroon place was open. Tea and one of those after dinner last night. So tasty. And so fresh. They make them every day there. Glad it was open as last time kids were there, they were not. Thinking of going down with them one of the nice days in May, though before Memorial Day weekend. That’s the official opening of our shore, and prices go higher, and beach tags needed. And that weekend draws crowds for sure.

A week from today I will be on my way back to Florida. It’s going to be a quick trip - just 2 days for park time, but I plan to spend both days at Epic Universe.

I'll try to update a lot at Epic tomorrow if possible.

I’m enjoying the pictures so far. Hope to see more and maybe some food reviews

Great to hear you were able to go to Epic. I have heard about the rides going down fairly often. I know it is still the preview time and they have acknowledged they are trying to work the bugs out before opening day.

Up early this morning and went to the store for a few things. I like to go early in the morning as I can get in and out pretty quickly.

Grandson was going to come over for a visit today, but he woke up sick. He is seeing the doctor today. Sounds like he has a sinus infection. This is a rotten time of the year here for folks with allergies. Trees are blooming out and Pollen is every where. I told him to give me a call and let me know how his MD appt went.

Going to take hubby out to lunch then we are going to get him fitted for a good pair of tennis shoes.

I just changed my flight again. I am now flying from my home airport - just a 10 minute drive from my house. The downside is that my flight leaves at 5:05 am. Fortunately my airport is so tiny that I don’t need to be there 2 hours before the flight leaves. I’ll be arriving in Orlando at noon, so I should have time to pick up a passholder magnet. I think my return flight is the same out of MCO.
I also saved 1000 flight miles.
