Something About Nothing............ #14

that sounds good Not a fan of the dry stuff, making just for one hate to go thru making from scratch i picked up a sale on several pkgs of this, it's crazy good
I have a box of instant (envelopes) that a client gave me. I am thinking about ways to jazz it up a bit. I use the recipe on the back of the Hershey’s cocoa box when I make it for the family.

Dh was supposed to go back to work tomorrow for meetings, but the university is closed. I don’t know about my office but I doubt I will go in even if the therapists do.

Well, now saying 1 to 3 inches, and starting around 8 am. And city schools closed tomorrow. My place says no one come in until 10 am. Glad that don’t even need to go into the city.

Thanks! Not my birthday . Two of our younger friends.

Glad I didn`t miss it!

Light snow has begun to fall. I am watching it from my recliner. I have no plans to leave the house for the rest of the day. B has to work tomorrow and I doubt Kroger will close. She has never driven in snow and ice before.

We went on Friday and it was pretty busy. I had to pick up a couple of extra items yesterday. Saw someone in the store buying a plastic sled.

Glad to hear he is improving.

Our local farm store is advertising that they have sleds, shovels, and ice melt. Thankfully we had lots of ice melt leftover from last year.

Sorry to hear that. Glad you are better today.

The snow is alternating between fine and fat flakes. I think there will be hot chocolate in my near future.

It s a learning experience for sure driving on snow and ice, hope she does ok.

Enjoy that hot chocolate!!

It’s chilly where I am but did see peeps in our area taking walks in our HOA to the top level where we live.

Mr Mac just came back home from his walk in the battlefield.

I took a pass going with him…he walks too fast for me.

I am watching the weather channel …many are having it bad with this storm.

Stay warm and cosy at home mac, best place to be when it`s cold.

that's a great pic Ugh to food poisoning it can take awhile to regroup

wide swath of country involved. Sympathies to those getting the ice, as power outages inevitable with lines snapping

will be nice if we wake up with 4 -6 inches overnight vs the 6-8 inches that is supposed to stay just south of us

Yes, making it from scratch is annoying when it`s just for one. Since Kyle left home I rarely make it, he was a big fan!! He has one of those Velvetisers for Hot Chocolate and uses real chocolate, I might think about getting one now I think on it.

I do like Salted Caramel flavour anything!!

Hope the worst of the snow misses you and stays elsewhere!!!

Not long up as it is still pouring down with rain and we have between 40 and 50mph winds till late afternoon here and dropping to 38F, trying to decide if we need to go out at all today!

Not volunteering till tomorrow, for both of us, so maybe we have enough fresh produce to cover us today and we can hibernate again. But, if either of us fancies going out, then of course we`ll go out.

I might plan out my birthdays this month, have a few including Kyle, my sister and a couple of godchildren, so not too many. September is by far my busiest month for birthdays and anniversaries, I always do a check list and get organised before we got away in September so I don`t forget anyone.

So, hopefully a quiet day ahead, sleeping beauty is finally in the shower, will do breakfast when he comes down, kitchen table is set, just tea and the toast to make and he`ll do the poached eggs, lunch is a wrap with some salad and spicy cajun chicken, no idea for dinner yet, will have a look and see what we need or it`s something out of the freezer, we have plenty to choose from.

Might try and get on with my TR, it`s ridiculous it`s not finished yet and we`re into January.

So have a lovely Monday whatever you do!!

It’s 35 for our temperature right now.
I am not stepping out of the house until after tomorrow…or later.

Our cold spell may hang around for a few days.
😳

When my cats won’t go on the attached porch, that’s when I know it is cold here.

After living in the south the past 9 years, I have lost being able to handle cold weather.

We didn’t get a lot of snow. Maybe a coating, but it was followed by freezing rain. I am staying home today. So far I have started laundry and cleaned the kitchen. I’ll clean the bathroom next. Such an exciting day.

Freezing rain is horrible! lol....housekeeping is such fun isn`t it!!

You sound similar to us mac, we are in the minuses and will be for the rest of the week, with the windchill we are around 25F, not unusual in certain parts of the States and probably tropical for Canada, but for us it is bloomin chittering. Living right beside the North Sea isn`t fun this time of year.

Had a lovely day doing nothing, just Tom and I mooching around doing little jobs, having cups of tea and just made dinner together, it`ll be ready soon. Decided on Lamb Shanks with a red wine and redcurrant sauce, smells lovely, some garlic roast potatoes and some roast veg. We are getting hungry.

We had some whopping hailstones this afternoon, but mainly rain most of the day, looks lovely tomorrow with some sunshine at least, both of us are volunteering for a few hours, I think we`ll be glad to get home, few bits of shopping to do too when we`re out.

Time for dinner, Tom set the table and looks nice, lovely little candles in the middle, I think he sets the table better than I do!!

Good Monday morning everyone :wave2:

It is snowy and ice is causing huge limbs to fall from trees. It is going to be a major clean up when things thaw a little. Bad thing is the weather folks say this is just an appetizer to what is coming on Wednesday. Hope they are wrong.

Good news is that we have not lost power. It flickered a couple of times last night, but we did not loose power. A lot of folks lost power for a few hours yesterday.

I heard a lot of emergency vehicles sirens traveling around last night. Daughter called us and told us she saw videos of arching of power lines do to weight of ice on power lines.

Our heating system went down Thursday evening and we had to have it worked on again on Friday morning. We have had the igniter switch replaced now three times. The system is not that old. Service guy even said he wondered if manufacturer was sending them the wrong igniter switch  you would think they would know the difference.

Hubby just got off the phone with the company that came out for the heater on Friday and he said they would have to order a new igniter to replace the one they put in Friday as the one they put in Friday would not handle the proper voltage needed after they contacted the manufacturer. Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I’am wondering if they would have fessed up and ordered the new igniter if hubby had not called about technicians concerns he had shared with hubby on Friday

This is not a fly by night company they are a reputable company that has been around for years.

Rant over on the heater.

Not sure when we will be able to head south now. Will have to be around to make sure the tree clean up is done before we leave. Will take it as it comes.

I have seen videos of the highway patrol asking people not to go out and drive do to icy road conditions and trucks are jackknifing and cars are slamming into each other. Scary stuff for sure.

Adrenaline sorry to hear you got food poisoning. That is miserable. Hubby got it a couple of times and he was very sick.

Lynne glad to hear your hubby is up and around even if it is with a assistive device. The fact that he has some mobility is a good thing.

My husband is still on walker. He can take a few steps without it at times. Just happy he is up and around.

Carole enjoy your quiet day today.

Mac good to hear you all did not get the snow and ice.

Janet I second the prayers for those in NOLA that lost their lives and in Las Vegas to those injured in the explosion.

Son and family were in Vegas post Christmas through New Years. I had texted granddaughter and asked her what was going on after the explosion outside the Trump Hotel.

Granddaughter texted me back that her and her hubby were walking around as were many other vacationers the day before the explosion looking at all the resorts.

When she shared that her and her hubby were outside The Trump hotel the day before the explosion my heart sank. I felt both sick and relieved at the same time.

Stay safe everyone who is dealing with the weather and any that have the bad weather heading your way.

For all those without power hope you get it back on soon.

All things considered if we have heat and food we are not doing to bad.

3rd mug of hot tea, hitting the spot after busy day of indoor decoration removal/valentines holiday tree/finally securing our DVC dates for December…even if not in the category I usually book. AKLJambo has a lovely xmas tree in it’s own right.

Still trying to fig out a surprise trip, on a dime lol, for the mr’s milestone BD in May. Let’s just say airfare is sticking a pin in my balloon, what the heck is up with SWA this year, ouch!

Today, was feeling a tuna Sammie. Flavors been melding together all day, i use albacore, can’t wait to pounce on it. Rest of family shakes their head how I do enjoy them every now & again. Comfort food.

Tomorrow will be cooking a huge chuck roast, have to finally go forth in the frozen tundra to Fed Ex & send off our big soundbar/subwoofer that decided to die before xmas. Glad it’s under warranty, not thrilled I have to find cardboard to package it. Fed Ex location does no sort of packing, unlike UPS???what’s up with that?

The DOT cameras of the roadways are chilling. People sliding all over.
You can always spot the the new owners of 4WD in that weather…they are the ones waiting for a tow truck with a winch to pull them out of the ditch. Nobody goes out in ice in our hilly area above a crawl, some just need to learn it the hard way.
have a few including Kyle, my sister and a couple of godchildren, so not too many.
That’s a lot in my book! Hope your sister does ok this year
It’s 35 for our temperature right now
That would suffice as a heat weave for us now. It didn’t take long for you to revert to having that thin southern blood after being a hardy midwesterner used to freezing temps
probably tropical for Canada
Indeed, I imagine they just giggle to themselves when we start a-whining

A couple of inches only, bit of ice packed in between the first layer from a couple days ago. The ice melt and a quick broom swish had it in hand.
hailstones
Those, I have respect for, have seen them crack tempered glass patio tables and car windshields here
arching of power lines do to weight of ice on power lines
Another disturbing site to see. We still have large % of above ground power lines here
Our heating system went down Thursday evening
Of course, the cold weather loves to cause havoc that way. I still have nightmares over ours dying last year and having no heat for nearly a week the coldest days of season during xmas.
My husband is still on walker. He can take a few steps without it at times. Just happy he is up and around.
Continued good vibes sent your way.
The Trump hotel the day before the explosion my heart sank
Wow, that is scary

That must have made your heart stop hearing about the Vegas incident, thank goodness they`re safe.

Oh I`d be ranting too on the heating mess! Goodness me, wrong time of the year for that to happen. hope you can get it sorted for good and it doesn`t let you down again.

I agree, if we have food, warmth and shelter life is not too bad.

Wow, that is scary

Yay, I have a tea drinking companion tonight!!! Like the sound of the Valentine tree, that`s not a thing over here at all, Valentine`s Day yes, but trees, I don`t know anyone who does that, sounds lovely though.

You`ll get that surprise trip sorted before you know it!!

Yes, I have a few but September, March, April and May are the busy months. I think she`ll be upset of course, but she`ll be fine, it is very soon after his passing to have so many celebrations close together, but she`s getting through them, I have a lot of admiration for her on how she is coping.

Yup, I`m sure Canada laughs when we complain, in the UK we come to a standstill with a few cm`s of snow, it`s usually the wrong type of snow, yet Canada deals with it all!!!!

Dinner was lovely, I think I could have made more veg, but we had plenty, too full for any dessert tonight, so, pot of tea and a choccie biscuit.

Not long till bedtime for us, both of us are yawning our heads off right now, have to be up reasonably early as I`m in school and Tom is volunteering for the church in the morning, keeps us out of trouble.

Hope your Monday evening is a good one :)

Taco Tuesday is here, and I think my taco is frozen. 22 degrees as I commuted in a windy and very cold feeling to a pre dawn arrival. Roads were all clear, until I entered my complex. Not only were the roads not that clear, the parking spaces were not clear, most of them. Parked further away, as thought was best cleared spots. Not quite in the lines, as discovered after I got out. Will move at lunchtime, as hope I don’t bother those around my not so perfect parking. And the started to salt the walkways, after I reached the doorway. I was walking slow. But that wind. Brrr.

As only one of a few that are generally the earliest of birds getting in this so early hour. I have tea and quiet I get for over an hour, usually. Should hear a few more soon, as they are also the ones that leave in the mid afternoon, with me not much later.

Robo, ack to heater issues. I hope all gets fixed right by the end of Friday. Scary, the icy conditions bringing down wires and tree branches. Glad you did not loose power. And scary, that public areas can have violence.

So sad to hear of those that died and were injured in Vegas.

Keisha, yay to plotting and scheming and trying to budget an extra trip. Yeah, I do think SW is higher priced than they had been. Bought the discount gift card from Costco to help try to save a little money on airfare. And the savings from our 3 hour delayed flight last year to help with this year’s flights.

A Most Terrific Taco Tuesday today, as day to think of eating a taco. 🌮

Being up early has it`s benefits for sure......

It is a gorgeous day here, bliddy cold but gorgeous sunshine which makes everything look much better. I don`t think it`s going to get any warmer through the rest of the week, but that`s what winter coats are for.

Had a lovely few hours in school, it was so lovely to see the kids again after a long break, they made me a lovely welcome back card as I hadn`t really been in since November.

Did some shopping, got lots of fresh produce to make some butternut squash soup, filled with other lovely goodies too, lots of garlic!!! About to have an earlyish lunch as we ate breakfast really early as we were both out by 8.15, have some rare roast beef, will pop it in a soft hoagie style roll with some other bits including gorgeous tomatoes!!

Dinner will be Thai red chicken curry, I made the base sauce last night, all fresh from scratch.

Lunch coming up and pot of tea of course and maybe a little treat for afterwards, dangerously, our deli has started doing home made desserts and they had mango and raspberry cheesecake slices, the non baked kind we like, so I couldn`t resist!!! Might keep it till after dinner tonight instead.

Have a lovely Tuesday :sunny:

Finally getting a chance to stop in again!

It was a busy weekend. Saturday was bed shopping in the morning, which we picked one out. Dh thinks it will be too soft. I like it as it has a different support system to our previous bed. It should be here Friday!

Saturday afternoon was new cell phones. That took much longer than we thought it would :sad2: But I get a sweet employee price for everyone on our plan. We had been planning on the boys taking over their own cellphone bills - but with the nearly 50% in savings on their phone plan, plus a 35% discount off the phone it's self - they are staying on our plan.

Sunday was grocery shopping, a little tidying, and a deep clean on one bathroom - my Sunday was filled.

Yesterday was busy at work. I was doing some training for the new casual yet. Honestly, she doesn't need much training, it's more of guidance over certain booking tasks or transcribing Dr orders. We get along great. Her and the other casual gal get along great as well. So it seems like a good team for the front desk now.

Our weather has finally warmed up a bit - and is not the skin biting cold now, and I'm not instantly running from warm building to warm vehicle and vice versa. Spring can't come fast enough.

picked out the sail date for my 'xmas present', in DCL treasure...in April...of 2026 :faint: Seems so far away, now to find a TA who will give a bit of love with an OBC.
The little glimpses I've seen of it - it looks amazing!!!!!!!! Have fun!!!! Hopefully the countdown goes fast ;)
Our new teacups are now in the china cabinet.
Those were soooo pretty!
Looking forward to seeing the Palm Trees and sun when we can take head south.
I hope your trip happens sooner rather than later. I hope your dh and your daughter-in-law are still recovering well.
he’s much better than when it happened.
Hopefully he continues to regain some of his mobility. I hope PO will continue to help
Yesterday got a hideous combo food poisoning at Carrabbas
Yikes  NOt a great combination. I hope it didn't last too long.
Not long up as it is still pouring down with rain and we have between 40 and 50mph winds till late afternoon here and dropping to 38F, trying to decide if we need to go out at all today!
ugh!!!! That sounds horrid. I know you were hibernating on those days - which I don't blame you one bit.
After living in the south the past 9 years, I have lost being able to handle cold weather.
Heck, I live in the north...and I can't handle it :rotfl:
Yup, I`m sure Canada laughs when we complain, in the UK we come to a standstill with a few cm`s of snow, it`s usually the wrong type of snow, yet Canada deals with it all!!!!
Nope, I don't. Cold is cold. I do watch this one Brit who has moved from GB to Saskatchewan - which is treeless, glorious skies land, but the winters can be horrendous. Her ability to deal with all the different weather has been fantastic to watch. She is sweet and takes it all in stride. Most Canadians who comment on her posts - are nicely teasing her. She had definitely embraced living in Canada. The best one was when she had her first taste of true -40 weather, and how when you inhale that cold air - it burns all the way down into your lungs and you cough like you've been smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day cough.

Well,, I should get going. It's almost my lunch time.

Have a great day everyone!

Sounds like a successful time shopping, hope the bed works out, it is hard to try and find one that suits both of you. And yes, if it`s a good deal absolutely keep the boys on the plan is the best idea, they have plenty of time to pay for their own.

Yes, cold is cold, we get such a damp cold though, and when the wind comes straight from Siberia and aims straight for our home, I shudder at the thought!! And yes, I do get "gently" teased by my Canadian friends for being a wimp. Guilty as charged!

Well, the sun stayed out and it stayed cold outside, glad we had nowhere to go and same tomorrow, plan a day at home again although I am out with my buddy tomorrow night, that should be fun.

It is going to be sunny and cold the rest of the week, so can`t see us going far, I do need to go get new pillows for our bed and one of the spare beds at some point, no rush though, we do need to stay in on Friday as our boiler/central heating system gets it`s yearly overhaul, they don`t give a time, but will ring us in the morning with a morning or afternoon time, Whoopee.

Curry was lovely, just a little too hot, so it was perfect! And we did keep the cheesecakes for our after dinner pot of tea and they were lovely, going to have to try and not buy too many of them in the future.

But, now we have feet up on the sofas watching some old episodes of Taggart on dvd and a tonic water, nice way to spend an evening

Sending a big hello out to our Ruth.....hope to see you posting here soon :)

Greetings everyone. We are slowly thawing out here. This morning I spent about 20 minutes scraping a thick layer of ice off of my car. I had to take a detour to work because one of the roads I take was closed. One of our clients said there was a downed tree on the road.

There was still lots of ice on the trees and the sun was really intense this morning. It caused a sparkling effect. The trees shone as if they were made out of diamonds. This picture doesn’t do it justice at all.

IMG_0984.jpeg

It is snowy and ice is causing huge limbs to fall from trees. It is going to be a major clean up when things thaw a little. Bad thing is the weather folks say this is just an appetizer to what is coming on Wednesday. Hope they are wrong.
I hope it isn’t as bad as predicted.

Our heating system went down Thursday evening and we had to have it worked on again on Friday morning.
How frustrating. Hope you get that resolved soon.

When she shared that her and her hubby were outside The Trump hotel the day before the explosion my heart sank. I felt both sick and relieved at the same time.
That is terrifying

Let’s just say airfare is sticking a pin in my balloon, what the heck is up with SWA this year, ouch!
Not just Southwest. Air fare is insane right now. I keep checking to see if the rates have changes on a closer flight for us.

Being up early has it`s benefits for sure..
Stunning!

It was a busy weekend. Saturday was bed shopping in the morning, which we picked one out. Dh thinks it will be too soft. I like it as it has a different support system to our previous bed. It should be here Friday!
Hope you both like it. I would love something a little softer than what we currently have.

I actually fell asleep while typing this. I got up early to make Disney reservations. I was able to get the Keys to the Kingdom tour and Hoop Dee Doo. They were not offering the fireworks party at the Contemporary. I don’t understand why they keep something on the website if they aren’t offering it. I am not too upset though. I wasn’t thrilled about standing on the top of a building to watch the fireworks. I booked us a dessert party at MK instead.

Ah yes, as we get that ever so closer to the month I say we get the coldest weather. Though Arctic air is still around, making it that brrr cold this month.

Still windy, but 4 degrees warmer than yesterday made it feel just a teeny, tiny tad warmer. Though still almost 10 degrees below freezing this morning. And 27 mph gusts of cold air today. Brrr.

Even a fast commute, as not all in this day across the compound. And favorite spot got. With a crunching of snow heard as I backed in. Yeah, with the highs being at or a degree or two higher than freezing temp, not much melting even with the full day of sun we had yesterday and will have today.

The sky last night was a perfect pink, as the sun was slipping below the horizon, because we just had to make a dinner time errand run.

Ack, to Charade. Stay safe with all that icy conditions you have. I agree, pretty as the tree limbs have sparkling looking ice on them. And a yay, as got all the reservations you were wanting. Odd, they offer that roof top view, but no where to book. Maybe give a call, as to seeing why not available to book.

Ah back to city view routine I am. But glad it’s the last day I have to do so this week. And the last day of week day routine, as four day weekend started with the alarm turned off, as I left this very early morning. And, even shorter day, as lunchtime celebration at local place, to wish colleague a happy retirement, and which will be the end of the day for me. Woot!

And before I forget, who do I see today?

IMG_4076.jpeg

Yeah camel, most of us homies are enjoying that Arctic feeling temps. But as every hump of a mid week day we are having, you get over it, and that most fabulous Friday feeling is then only a day away. Woot! Mid week already.

Sigh. Those holiday fun days are no more. But at least the day off for holiday is still a little over a week from today, then less than a month later, as sadly, it’s the last of the yay, the almost every month a holiday off day period. So even more reason as to why to schedule fun around those last two holidays. Ah yes. Spring is now only 71 days away. And as all see, that calendar does seem to make time fly as we go along the days of this new year.

Most wonderful Wednesday to all.

I hope it isn’t as bad as predicted.

How frustrating. Hope you get that resolved soon.

That is terrifying

Not just Southwest. Air fare is insane right now. I keep checking to see if the rates have changes on a closer flight for us.

Stunning!

Lovely picture Charade and I know what you mean.

Glad you liked the pic, again I agree, I don`t think pictures show exactly how vibrant the colours are in real life.

Hope your weather today is a bit better and glad you have some things booked for your trip!

Well, another day of sunshine and cold weather here, but it is beautiful, albeit chilly!

Lazy morning, had a cosy late sleep as we don`t need to go out today, my friend J txt me to say she is looking forward to the dance class tonight lol....so am I to be fair. One of our friends popped in for a cuppa mid morning, tried to talk her into going with us tonight but, not really her thing, she already is a good dancer I suppose.

Home made soup for lunch, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, red peppers, carrots, leeks, celery and loads of garlic and some herbs and a dash of spice, going to be gorgeous and a slice of bread my lovely friend dropped off that she baked. She is a much better baker than I am.

Dinner will be roast turkey slices in gravy, roast potatoes and veg, sounds simple but always a welcome meal in winter.

Almost lunchtime here, soup, bread and a large pot of tea!!

Today, was feeling a tuna Sammie. Flavors been melding together all day, i use albacore, can’t wait to pounce on it. Rest of family shakes their head how I do enjoy them every now & again. Comfort food.
I do like a good tuna sandwich every once in awhile.

It did. It seems that places that are large vacation spots are targets for bad folks doing bad things.

Janet hope you can get your airline settled for your hubby’s special birthday celebration trip.

I hope your trip happens sooner rather than later. I hope your dh and your daughter-in-law are still recovering well.
Me too, we are going to have to wait for a little of a thaw in order to get tree folks in to clean up the downed tree and heavy branches that have fallen before we take off.

The ice is pretty sparkling in the trees in the sunlight, but do reek havoc with the branches with the extra weight of the ice.

I hope it isn’t as bad as predicted.
Me too. Our temps here are not going to go up enough to melt the ice yet and we have more snow coming on Friday.

Glad to hear you were able to get some of your reservations taken care of. It makes you feel better to have some things settled for you trip.

Daughter in law is scheduled for surgery on her knee at the end of the month and granddaughter is scheduled for surgery next week. Hubby is progressing just not as fast as he would like. I’am thankful to be here for them.

Hello from the frozen tundra of southern Indiana. Not typical weather here. I was able to get out yesterday evening and made a run to the store to drop somethings off to my younger sister K who is not feeling well.

There are a lot of trees and limbs down.

We have tree near the house down and a lot of limbs down as do our neighbors.

We have a tree company that has done work for us in the past and we do not want to ask for their services until it thaws a little. They are really busy taking trees off the roofs of houses that have been damaged. That is a priority. This tree that’s down is not on the house and is not blocking neighbors driveway or impacting travel on the street. So we will have some major clean up and will get that started as soon as we can.

Our major roads are clear and salted so that folks that need to be out can get around.

There are iced heavy limbs hanging over some of the streets that have to be avoided, but happy we can get around if needed.

The county did send a salt truck a little while ago for our street. Was glad to see that. We usually are not on the priority list for plowing and salting. We have a small Hill that leads to our neighborhood so it is nice to have the ability to get some extra traction going up.

I did look at dates for vacation in September this morning at Universal and locked those in and made my hotel reservations. Now I need to look at some date for Mardi Gras and maybe a quick summer trip.

Going to organize the pantry as my project today.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.

Those are some pictures Robbie!!

Yes, once the urgent stuff is done, you can get sorted, but looks nasty.

Hope your sister does better and sending all good thoughts for all family procedures coming up. And as always good vibes for your husband, glad he is improving, albeit slowly.

Well, my friend J and I had a blast at the dance class!! It was so much fun and I discovered I have five left feet not two! But we had a laugh and did learn some moves, I think both of us may ache a little in the morning as we did move a lot and we will be going back next week, nice group of people and the dance teacher is lovely, very patient!!

It is baltic here, cars were all white when J picked me up tonight, going to be even colder tomorrow.

Not long till bedtime for me, had a cuppa when I came in, jumped in the shower, now finding I`m yawning.

Up early tomorrow.....:)

Spent afternoon @ eye dr. happy to wait while they squeezed me into rotation. Since September have had increasing episodes of having my upper & lower eye lids randomly swell up. No ascertainable pattern I could determine.

could barely see out the one eye as so swollen underneath this am. Dr categorized it as severe, thinking it’s allergies of dermatological origin.

At least nothing worse! Had full allergy screen last year due to breathing issues, know what my issues are there. Prescribed 2 RX to knock down the swelling and redness, told I should see some improvement by the weekend.

In order to find the trigger(s), i’m to eliminate anything ‘chemical’ that touches my body for a week (cavewoman time lol) then slowly reintroduce one thing at a time. Feel free to laugh.

when she had her first taste of true -40 weather, and how when you inhale that cold air - it burns all the way down into your lungs and you cough like you've been smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day cough.
heck, it happens in single digits, I can’t imagine it in that sort of weather.
Sending a big hello out to our Ruth.....hope to see you posting here soon :)
Yes, she is much missed
This morning I spent about 20 minutes scraping a thick layer of ice off of my car.
Ugh, the only reason I have considered getting another car is for a remote starter
Not just Southwest.
That’s not comforting lol. Allegiant is still somewhat reasonable, just not a fan of longer drive into Orlando from there…nor the few flights a week offered from our market.
Janet hope you can get your airline settled for your hubby’s special birthday celebration trip.
Thanks, I’ve whittled it down. He’s either going to be happy or quite annoyed with me…not sure which
I’am thankful to be here for them.
They are lucky to have you! That’s a real cluster of surgeries and healing going on in your family.

Saw a story on the news of a man in WV, in a mobile home, who had just gotten up out of his recliner during the recent storm. A huge tree fell on his home and, literally took out the whole room where he had been sitting.
It was so much fun and I discovered I have five left feet not two!
Rarely does my mind draw a blank trying to envision something lol. All that matters is you are enjoying the experience, run dance with it !
