Hope you get what you want ticket wise.

A very good Wednesday, beautifully sunny and a little chilly this morning and a stunning sunrise of burnt orange and red, a pleasure to view it.

So, no plans to go out, no lunch with friends today, Tom is out in the garden with the gardener plotting what to do with a space we have now, I don`t care as I can`t see it from the house, so I`m doing housework and laundry.

No need to cook tonight, made enough chicken to do two nights and it`s always even better next day, might add some more rosemary and spice to it though. Garlic potatoes might go well with it and some roasted cauliflower, bought a huge one the other day, it`ll last the week I think!!

We have some proscuitto for lunch, might do a brioche baguette club style sandwich for us with some turkey, Emmental, tomatoes and lettuce and honey mustard dressing for me!!

But, putting the kettle on and will take a mug down to the pair of them, the arborists did a good job removing the tree apparently. I won`t be spending time admiring a hole in the ground where a tree used to be!

Have a lovely Wednesday!!!!

Good morning. I’m up early today so I have some time to get a post in.
I haven’t been feeling great for the past couple of days. I woke up Monday with an awful upset stomach. Still wasn’t completely better yesterday. Hoping today will be better.

On Monday a guy showed up at my office claiming to be from Amazon and he was going around to local businesses to encourage them to sign up for an Amazon business account. Something seemed shady about this. My boss was with a client so I asked the guy for a business card or a contact phone number. He wouldn’t provide either. He kept insisting that he would come back Tuesday when she was free. I told him she would be free between 1-2 when she took her lunch. Tuesday I was sitting in my car during my lunch hour and saw him return at 12:45. He didn’t listen very well. I think this is some sort of scam, but not sure exactly what. I contacted Amazon and was told they don’t send representatives out to sign people up for business accounts.

Hubby did get a cold, but he has cough too. Which is not helping his back.
Hope he is feeling better now and won’t run into any mire complications.

On a positive note. His post op pain at surgery site is better. The pain he was having in low right back and down his right leg is gone, surgery a success in that respect
That is great news.

My older sister D’s 21 year old grandson was in ICU for a number of days. He came down with stiff neck and fever and they could not pin point the source of the infection. They bombarded him with antibiotics and he started having blood pressure issues and heart issues. He is now out of the woods and doing better.

Our granddaughter in Kentucky that had surgery was doing better and now is having a post-op issue.
Prayers for your family.

We have been busy with yard work to get it done before fall. We lost a lot of plants and shrubs this year for some reason. The plants we bought did not look all that great this year, but that was all they had. So next year we will have to buy new flowering shrubs for in for the front of the house and a new flower bed to replace some old phlox that we dug out. We are also replacing the soil as it seems to have a fungus in it which was not good for the Phlox. We have 2 apple trees to cut down to keep the bears away too. Much to do, but my husband loves doing these kind of yard things
I need to hire you for our yard. We lost a couple of large shrubs due to snow damage a few years a haven’t gotten around to replacing them yet. We need some landscaping for the front of the house.

We celebrated my Mom's 97th birthday last week too with much celebration. We
Happy belated birthday to her.

lol....oh no, no skydiving for us!!!
Eeek! Not something I would ever consider doing. Dh and B have been hang gliding though.
Hope everyone is well, weller or wellest

As much as I want to visit I think I am going to wait a while. Though I might consider it if they offer a soft opening for AP holders.

Time to get up and start my day.

I hope everyone gets what they want. I've had APs twice before and I plan to buy them for my honeymoon, but I don't have park-activated APs so no chance to buy the single Epic ticket.

I actually don't mind, because it takes the decision out of my hands. I'm leaning toward two quick mother-daughter trips (one with each daughter) before Epic opens, to enjoy our favorites one more time before it gets crazy. Which would be nice after all the focus on the wedding and honeymoon. And then take a big trip in a year or two. But my youngest is wishing we could go to Epic in August. Maybe she and I should go then and leave behind our family members with crowd and line anxiety.

That does sound odd Charade. And yes what is wrong with people that can`t follow what you say regarding when your boss would be free!!

I recently told the school what hours I`d be available to volunteer, very clearly labelled I could do X X and X times and no more. The reply came back, but are you available to do Y & Z and could you consider W too!!! Er, no.

That is brave doing hand gliding, I don`t think I`d be brave enough, maybe years ago but not now.

Hope your day goes well.

Some nice options there for you though, it`s nice to have choices.

My TR pictures posted first time today!!!! Webmaster Corey must have sorted the issue whatever it was, bless him I hate to bother them as they are busy, but very frustrating seeing an X where the pictures should be. But happy to see them pop up after pressing post!!

It is very chilly tonight, heating has come on, I have a cold nose as I was sitting in the kitchen with the doors open as the sun was lovely, but as soon as it goes down, temperature changes. Sunset is 17.40 tonight, so not long to go. This is one of my favourite times of year, chilly but sunny weather and cosy evenings ahead as it turns more autumnal.

Had a nice day in, got some Trip Report done, all my laundry is sorted, fresh new bedding on and dinner will be in an hour or so just after 6ish, I did add some more rosemary and a few chopped up bullet chillies from my chilli plant.

Quick cuppa before dinner I think!

Amazon” guy came back again this morning. I told him again that boss is free between 1-2. He just came back at 1:15 (I am at lunch) but didn’t stay long.

B absolutely loved hang gliding. She was only 13 the first time she did it. I couldn’t deal with it, so I stayed home and told dh to let me know when they were safely back on the ground.

:wave2:

Finally getting a chance to sit make a stop in.

Our trip was awesome, minus Milton making an appearance. We did have to combine 2 days into one (which was NOT on the agenda, but we made it work.

The hurricane it's self happened quicker than we thought it would. We were watching one of the local tv stations, just so we were in the know. I think the scariest part of it was, late Wednesday afternoon/evening, when all the tornados were hitting. It was weird to hear a broadcaster explaining them as not acting like "normal Florida storm tornados". We woke up several times during the night, just to check on things. Dh said our hotel lost power around 5:00 am ( tail winds behind after the eye had passed. He saw the fireworks and heard the line go down. I slept through that part.

We were out and about outside the hotel by noon on Thursday - and had found an open restaurant by Thursday evening - then hit the parks again Friday ::yes::

We ended up switching hotels. Our original hotel was fine - we really had no big complaints. We did find the staff to be rude when asking questions about what they wanted us to do during the hurricane - or anything hurricane related. In our kiddos's room, the window was leaking quite bad during the storm. When we inquired in the morning if they could switch to another room, as we noticed many people were checking out - we were rudely told that would not be able to happen.

When we were out driving around - we noticed that they hotel we had stayed at on our previous trip had power - a quick check to see if they had 2 rooms for the remainder of our stay - which they did - it was easy to check out and check into the one with more pleasant staff and a dry room for our boys.

We did combine our Magic Kingdom day and our HHN day. NOT an ideal day - but that was what would work best. We got to experience a bit of both - but not fully like we would have liked or like I had planned :rolleyes1

Other than that , we had fantastic weather - other than cloudy days (with a little sprinkle here and there) leading up to the storm, and after the storm Friday was a sunny/cloud mix and HOT on Sat and Sunday.

I think I'll try my hand at a trip report - to give more details. Hoping I can get it started next week once the kids have moved into their new place. DD and their stuff should get here sometimes Tuesday. We are heading to the city this weekend to help pack up the last of the stuff, clean out the garage and wipe down a few surfaces.

I've been busy at work since getting back. Work has been extremely busy - and then found out the casual girl who works the desk with me is leaving (she is moving into a full-time position elsewhere in the hospital) and so today I was training one co-worker from the systemic side so that if we need someone if I'm sick or just in general needing some extra help - I have someone else to help out.

Home has been busy with son-in-law and gd here. I've been picking up gd from daycare. Her daycare is only a hop, skip and a jump away from my work. So needless to say - she has been keeping me busy lol. Most nights I'm not sitting down until after son-in-law puts her to bed. But we wouldn't have it any other way ::yes::

Well, I should go. It will be another busy day, with teaching.

Oh yah - we got snow on Monday - which I'm sure you all know I was sooooooooooooo happy about :sad2:

I'll leave a nightlight on for anyone who may wander in during the night - or for those early risers.

Have a great night/morning everyone!

Hope everyone is well, weller or wellest

Have a great night/morning everyone!

Which hotel were you in?? That`s awful, glad you managed to change from it though and have somewhere with nicer staff!!

Work sounds busy, but glad you`re enjoying that extra time with GD!!

No, just no to snow this early!!!

Glad of the nightlight, even though we are enjoying some extra snuggle time in the mornings, it`s still dark when I get up!!! But, I quite like it being honest!!

Another sunny but chilly morning here, and a breeze so think it`ll be the coat this morning when we go out, little bit of shopping here and there and then we have a fresh whole salmon being delivered from a fishery up in Scotland, should be here for lunchtime, so that`ll be dinner tonight. It comes without the head and tail and all the innards, boned and left in two side fillets, then I cut it up into individual portion sizes and freeze in packs of two.

Tom is volunteering this afternoon so earlyish lunch around midday, no idea what that will be yet, and either some more TR or closet organising again, haven`t quite sorted it all since we came back.

Quick cuppa then we`ll head out I think.

Have a lovely Thursday :-)

Yeehaw! Scored 2 tickets each for DW and I.
$156 per day
Queue was ridiculous, 5+hours I kept a tab open and kept checking. It was almost like Genie+
May 27-28
I didn't see a limit on amounts just 1 per pass per transaction but I stopped at 2.
As a side benefit I had to complete setup on my virtual wallet to get in the system.

Glad to hear it!!! Everyone seems to have had a wait, but glad you got sorted.

Lovely day here, Tom was off out just after lunch volunteering so had afternoon tea with my friend J who came round, well, her daughter dropped her off as she has hurt her foot and picked her back up later, but nice afternoon where she absolutely loved my new lemon cake recipe, she had three slices of it, glad to see her enjoy it!! Had a good old gab and put the world to rights.

Salmon was lovely, can`t beat Scottish wild salmon and a good old chunky piece is even better.

Definitely getting cooler, as soon as that sun dips, it cools down and I forgot our clocks go back this weekend, always earlier than the USA and we do like that extra hour!

Almost the weekend.....::yes::

Quick hello. Nothing interesting to post about today.

Our trip was awesome, minus Milton making an appearance. We did have to
Glad you had a good time despite the hurricane. What hotel did you stay in?
Ugh, can't believer you have snow already. The weather here can't decide if it wasnts to be fall or not.

So he was genuine?
He missed my boss again yesterday because one of her sessions ran over. He came back today and finally got to talk to her. If noting else he sure was persistent. She said he seemed really knowledgable about Amazon, but she still wasn't letting him set up an account for her. He sounded legit, but I still suspect something was not right. He never gave his name, contact info, or a business card.

Congrats! I'm still in the queue. At this point I don't even want to buy tickets. I'm just being stubborn.
If they have a soft opening for AP holders I might try to go then.

I took a nap after I gave up but my phone kept the tab open. I got up, did some paperwork and cleaned a bit. Sat down for lunch and saw that I had 16 minutes left. I'd honestly given up.

Our high today was 82 so no snow for us today.

A week from now temperatures will be dropping to normal usual temps.

Will have the furnace on in November.

Had no idea what to fix for dinner.
Mr Mac said don’t cook which was fine for me.

Ended up at the local bbq place in town.

Ah, I stopped at 2 tickets too, enough extra cost in my book, as little one’s pass I have to renew next month. Lucky, got on, around 10 am and checked out a minute or so, before 11am. Bought for early September, as we are not one that likes to be the first to visit, and we don’t like the summer down there as much. Did try for end of August, but when I was looking, couldn’t get that week. Heard, much of summer was open after, many, like me, saw it blocked out. Not complaining though, as did get those tickets before open to the public, and not have to buy bundled with the original parks’ tickets.

Saw the Glen Miller Orchestra, though Band of it was what we saw. Great music that was in the smaller music place, a few minutes walk from our home.

Ack, not mention that four letter white word, Pumpkin. But glad to hear your trip was full of fun, even with the hurricane interrupting your vacation. And glad you could move to a nicer staff, and dry rooms.

Time for bed for me. Have to get up early one more day. Woot! Fabulous Friday when we all wake up.

Light on for those that need it. No tripling toes to the loo. Or a piece of left over pizza. ::yes:: :rotfl:

TGIF y'all!
Hoping everyone has a great weekend.
We have a busy one with a Halloween party, an 8 yr old's birthday party and of course some baking.
