Something About Nothing............ #14

Good morning. I’m up earlier than I want to be. The contractor is still working on the closet. He usually gets here around 9:00 but this morning he showed up at 8:15. I really hope he finishes today.

Woke up with a sore spot in my back. I guess something happened while sleeping. I’m going to look for some Tylenol.

I think I would have been happy if we had stayed in Georgia, but I am glad I have had the opportunity to live in other places. I have friends who have visited all 50 states. I think I have been to less that half.

That’s most of my relatives. When I was a child I vowed that if I had children they would experience fun vacations. Even when we went to visit my mom in a tiny town in South Carolina I found something fun to do with B so she wouldn’t be bored out of her mind.

I’ll be at mac’s house today.

Dull, but such a necessity.

I can’t wait. I am so tired of it getting dark so early. I wish we could leave our clocks on DST.

My excitement this morning will be a trip to Hobby Lobby to get the pirate picture framed. Don’t know what else I will do with my day.

yes, hope you get the work done today and hope the pain goes away.

Visiting all the States sounds like a lot of fun, I`d love to say we`d ever do it, but doubt it.

Hi and Happy Friday:) Time for a Friday catch up.

Schumigirl: Are we still talking tea? I am guilty of using the good old fashioned tea bag and usually have tea with honey! But my real love is coffee. I started drinking it at the age of 10 and haven't stopped. I really think the Embassy post was meant to be funny, at least that's how I took it. Also, Salt in tea???? Ick, no way!

As far as passports, we have the type that allows you to go to Canada or Mexico, but no where else. That works for us at this stage of life.

Sounds like your master bath overhaul is coming along:) It doesn't take much to change up bathrooms, just new towels, rugs and a few wall hangings for me.

Hope you get that new charger today too. It's no fun when that happens. And Haggis??? Ick, just Ick!
I loved the meme of the boys first day of school. A funny story about my son's first day of school. He came home and said it was good. I told him he would have fun the next day too. He seemed shocked and said, "I thought school was over now". I guess he thought one day was all he had to go, LOL. I had to tell him it was 12 years plus!

Charade: I'm glad you missed the bullet on another car crash! And it would have been in the same spot on the car as the last one? I also love your closet sign straight from Harry Potter:) I hope you back is better and just one of those things that happen at night and doesn't linger.

Hi Mac: Baking cookies sounds great! What kind are you doing? I usually bake chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies for us. I just sent my husband to the store, so he will bring back lots of snacks and a little food:)

Keisha: I hope your son's x-ray gets scheduled soon. It's irritating when you can't get in when you need to!

Pumpkin: It sounds like you had fun with your home care project:) I really loved working as an RN case manager in Home Care. It was so interesting to treat people in their own homes, and I still miss it.
No sunlight yet for us, just gray skies! But the temps are better. Sunlight always makes the day better but we don't get much of it here in the winter.

I made noodles this AM and they are drying pretty fast. Soon I can cut them up and put them in the pot with the roast beef and broth. I really like making them from scratch and also like cutting them into thin strips. We are having mashed potatoes and home made bread with it (french bread). I think we will definitely get our carbs for the day (or week), LOL.

Have a great weekend everyone:)

ruth

Yep, I seem to switched a flick with tea 😉 yes, I think they were being tongue in cheek for sure, but we take our tea very seriously doncha know......lol.....

I don`t drink a lot of coffee and never go to the coffee places like Starbucks and so on, I maybe have coffee two or three times a year if that? Confirmed tea drinker here....unless there`s wine on offer of course......lol......but I`m going to have to forgive you for the tea bag.......just for you though ☺️

Ended up having to order the charger direct from Dell, all the stores had was Dell compatible, we`d rather get the real thing. Not coming till Wednesday so Tom will share his charger till then or I can use my ipad.

Yes, a few accessories works wonders as we don`t want to retile or paint what wall there is, so new mirrors and so on will work. I tend to have white towels everywhere, but will add smaller feature towels. Tom think we have more towels than the RP...well we have four bathrooms so they all need towels even if we don`t use them all!!

I did take a couple of tablespoons of the haggis, it is actually very tasty, but only a little for me, Tom loves it!!

Yes, it`s funny when kids think school is for one day, I can imagine your boy!!

Enjoy your meal, it sounds lovely, hope your mum enjoyed her time with you too!!

Succesful day in the end, and it is cold again tonight, little windy but not too bad.

Going to watch a couple of episodes of The Killing then some Billy Connolly, feel like a good laugh! Maybe some wine too, well it is Friday night.

Tom has just walked through to the kitchen, so I hope he`s opening a bottle right now......

TV on, feet up, snuggle with the mister.....perfect Friday night!!!

Bad news: my back is still sore. Good news: the cupboard under the stairs is finished. The new sign should be arriving from Amazon on Sunday.

And it would have been in the same spot on the car as the last one? I also love your closet sign straight from Harry Potter:) I hope you back is better and just one of those things that happen at night and doesn't linger.
Yes, same spot. Fortunately I was stopped and she was moving very slowly, so there probably wouldn’t have been any damage.

It all sounds good. I am not much of a cook.

Ended up having to order the charger direct from Dell, all the stores had was Dell compatible, we`d rather get the real thing.

Good call. I once had a Dell laptop with a “compatible “ charger. One day the computer simply stopped recognizing the charger. I kept getting a message stating the accessory wasn’t recognized. Very annoying.

I took B’s pirate to Hobby Lobby today to get it framed. This is what the framer came up with.

Glad the cupboard is done and hope your sign arrives and you’re happy with it.

Yes, we much prefer to buy the proper product and not generic when it comes to things like this. I think what happened to you is common when you don‘t buy the proper branded items.

That looks good Charade, the frame fits with the pirate theme, it looks like the wood has been reclaimed from an old ship.

Almost bedtime here, we did watch a Billy Connolly concert, very funny and enjoyed a rather nice bottle of wine, but both of us are yawning our heads off.

Baking and cooking tomorrow…..

Have a good night ahead :)

A very good Saturday morning!!!

Planned to sleep a little later this morning, but friends will be friends and two of them were planning a walk along the beach with their husbands and dogs and as we are 5 minutes away...why didn`t we join them as it was such a beautiful morning!!!

We kinda grudgingly got up and glad we did as it was cold but lovely.

This was such a pretty sunrise!! An hour or so earlier it was all pinks and reds, but we got this when we arrived.

i-G2HB6jM-L.jpg

We had a quick shower and cuppa then headed out (hungry) so we stopped in at one of the beach cafe`s that are open this early in the season and we each had bacon rolls, I almost had a second to be honest. It`s quite breezy which doesn`t show in the water, but I was glad we were wrapped up warm and cosy, ended up with very rosy cheeks too!!

Back home having a hot white chocolate now. More than enough fresh air for the day!

Will get to do some baking after lunch, I had planned to start this morning, but walking on the beach was lovely.

So, a quiet day for us, will be a lazy in between baking, catching up some friends by email and calls, then ordering Thai takeout tonight for dinner I think. Don`t think we need lunch to be honest, might have some chips and dips if we get snacky feelings.

But, have a lovely Saturday whatever you may be doing..... ☺️

Ah Saturday it is, and lazy day for us. Partly sunny day, but dense fog again this morning. And still warm before the drop of temps in the start of next week. 50 degrees the high.

Guess with some more snow coming, but that rain the last two days, none left anywhere. But of course that 37 degree high day, is the back to commuting day. Sigh.

But enjoying some eggs and toast with DH. Then not sure what kids are doing. Older one has off, so I think he said just visiting a friend today. But that’s about all that I think we are doing. But as today, all are home, birthday dinner for DH. Nice when we can celebrate, even if not the actual past birthday day.

Super sized happy Saturday to all.

Great picture Charade, and yay to sign coming to hang up tomorrow, at the new stair closet.

Lazy seems to be a popular way to spend today :rolleyes1

Anyone joining in on the new offshoot of the CB on the Controversial topics thread? Sounds an interesting read maybe......not a lot of time for the CB generally, sometimes they have some good threads, but not too many.

So far I`ve baked a ginger cake, slightly overcooked, but will work nicely with extra butter on top with some tea this afternoon.

Think I may have decided to use the stylist in our village who has turned part of her home into a salon, looks very nice from the pictures my friend showed me who now goes to her and only 5 minutes from me which is nice. I`m not due to go for another 3 weeks or so, but think I`ll make an appointment and see how it goes.

Where is everyone today????? Busy I guess.......😁

Shumi, back in the olden days when I worked, Saturday was a sleep in morning

I agree, weekends are for lazy snuggles with our own sleeping beauty 🥰

We do like a walk with friends though, so up we got!! It`s been so many years since we worked though, like a distant memory, thankfully!! Nothing beats being a lady of leisure!!

I must not have been completely awake when I first read this. I was wondering what could be controversial about Cabana Bay.

lol...my fault there, yep Community Board....not my usual stomping ground to read, but occasionally drop in to some of the nicer threads.

I`m being incredibly lazy.....sitting watching old monster movies, still only baked a ginger cake so far today, that`s it. Although I am sorting some TR pictures!! Ideal Saturday really.

Tom just asked if it`s too early for a cocktail......hmmmm. Let me think about that 😉

Hey all, have been trying to build up my stamina the last few days. Went at it too hard the first day…my house was screaming for a deep clean. Three hours later & I was ready to collapse. Did much better the next when going slower & taking breaks every hour or so just to sit down. Call me granny Moses.

Yesterday, it was almost 65 degrees when I left house before 6 am for the MRI. Just kept getting better. Afterwards, the mr & I hit up WM & Sams for the missing links. so nice to get out of house, even if just shopping. Also nice to see on report no actual fracture, of course there is another problem That explains the issues I’ve been having. curious to see how the podiatrist’s plan of attack.

soon as my DS heard, they drafted us to host a football viewing party tomorrow. There will be some takeout, usually pride myself on everything being homemade but, know I can’t tackle it all. (tackle hehe)

does equate to heading back out to grab additional foodstuffs with all the others foolish enough to be about on a Saturday

as famous tea leaves dump in the harbor protesting Keisha’s favorite word, tea taxes by the English rule.
gives old mean to ‘spilling the tea’
And why I usually buy bottled water in FLA
will say it smells better than years ago. Going out on a limb, the taste somewhat improved, still icky
but do agree with most, even with Americans, you don`t get decent tea in America
I am content in my ignorance lol. Happy enough with twinnings or bigelow. Just ordered a large box of the Irish breakfast tea, like the spicing in it and the amount of caffeine.

my Mom‘s SiL was a war bride. She introduced her to the art of tea :). I wonder as to her expertise tho as she insisted tea be served with milk. More ick IMO
cauliflower cheese
Prey tell :) Cannot remember the last time I even saw fresh cauliflower in the stores.

the mr came home with a bag full of seeds & starter stuff for his veggie garden. Noticed out for broccoli or cauliflower
She looked surprised to see me there and almost over corrected her SUV. She almost hit me in the same place I was hit last month. It wouldn’t have done any damage since she was barely moving, but still…..
i could imagine that call reporting it to my insurance agent lol.
I share my birthday with the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. Some day I hope to take a trip to Boston and visit the tea party museum.
Interesting. The mr saw that & Plymouth Rock (which he said was really no more than a stone lol, i guess from years of wear). That was when touring the world courtesy of Uncle same on a big boat :)
The closest I have been to leaving the country is when we went to San Diego and took a drive while we were waiting for our hotel to be ready. We got within a mile of the Mexican border and then turned back.
Speaking of touring, I’ve no desire to step foot in Tijuana, After doing some research Re possible cruise that would visit ports in Mexico. last year the homicide rate in that city averaged 6 per day. Even the heavily policed tourist areas are decidedly hit or miss on any given day.
sorry to sound like a brag fest or be "competitive" but I do understand it is not a cheap thing to do. I do think you`ve been lucky in places you`ve lived, some folks have never moved at all from where they`re from.
Lol we love hearing travel tales here.
I plan to bake lots of cookies tomorrow.
Need some snacking junk food as Mr Mac said we have nothing good in our house to eat….!
nom nom nom. Whatcha making?
The aroma is different in the house when we bake, nothing quite like baking or cooking from scratch
when actively selling real estate & showing a house, would hand my listing owners a jar of cinnamon sticks and instruct them to simmer one in small bit of water for at least 2 hours prior to any showings. Smelled quite “homey” when entering, not that perfumey sort of smell as with a candle
And it felt wonderful, as oddly, house feels a bit cool. Will turn up the heat if I still feel cooler than I want.
Same, i attribute it to being so damp. The ground is so spongey, you sink into it
Hair salon visit was a success, as no white hair seen for another month
a good thing, although I still wouldn’t mind waking up one morning with beautiful silver hair
I’m up earlier than I want to be. The contractor is still working on the closet. He usually gets here around 9:00 but this morning he showed up at 8:15. I really hope he finishes today.
Long as he’s not paid by the hour lol
I have friends who have visited all 50 states. I think I have been to less that half.
Same, however, find it amusing when they say they drove thru on a road trip or had an hour layover when flying. Guess it technically counts.
My excitement this morning will be a trip to Hobby Lobby to get the pirate picture framed
They did a very nice job picking the frame. I learned to do my own, there were many misses before I got the hang of it

Yes, for the staid state dept pretty funny stuff. my am coffee is a need, not a want.

usually do add pinch of salt to sweet thing, salted caramel to coffee when the mood strikes. Can’t imagine what it’d do for tea
guess he thought one day was all he had to go, LOL. I had to tell him it was 12 years plus!
Hahaha out of the mouths of babes

I made noodles this AM and they are drying pretty fast
Do u use a rack? I make so infrequently just lay mine over the chair backs. admitted rustic but, how I was taught
I maybe have coffee two or three times a year if that
adding a couple TBSP of baileys or frangelico makes it go down quite well :)
Bad news: my back is still sore.
Aw, good luck with that. Did you try some heat or stretching?
This was such a pretty sunrise!! An hour or so earlier it was all pinks and reds, but we got this when we arrived.
very pretty, first impulse was how nice to take a dip…then remembered, no probably freezing
Back home having a hot white chocolate now
Never tried that variety. Made some the other day, upon request. Inspiration struck - melted Ghirardelli chocolate. A winner
I must not have been completely awake when I first read this. I was wondering what could be controversial about Cabana Bay.
i avoid the CB like that plague, too many trolls living in caves there that pop out Willy Nilly. Need cliff notes version.

OK, I`ll need to forgive you too for dissing milk in tea...it`s how it should be served....but only certain teas not all of them, but breakfast tea, definitely. Unless you like it black of course like my sister does. Twinings can be decent though, I don`t mind their Earl Grey or black tea.

Coffee just isn`t my thing, I do like the odd salted caramel one, but rare and yes, years ago a chocolatier in France insisted we add a pinch of salt to very sweet hot chocolate, and it works, but it would add nothing to tea whatsoever. I do like Baileys but I do have a strange aversion to alcohol in anything at all. I won`t eat desserts with alcohol flavours which folks find strange but apart form a white wine sauce in a savoury dish, alcohol and food/drinks shouldn`t mix. Yep, I know that`s weird coming from me!!!

You don`t have cauliflowers for sale right now? Ideal winter veg. We buy the extra large and it does us a couple of nights. I very lightly steam cauliflower just so it`s not hard anymore and make the cheese sauce from a roux and then make sure the cauli is properly dry, pop it in an oven dish and pour the cheese sauce over and bake for 15 minutes or so....lush!!

Yes, don`t do too much tomorrow, store bought will be fine for once, you can get some lovely ready made things from some places. They`ll love it and I did like your "tackle" joke.....lol

And yes keep resting!!!

I blinked and it's Saturday.

Working the weekend at homecare. Everything seems to be covered and most of my work is done. I'll take this over a boat load of uncompleted work that I need to try to complete. I only wish they would consider letting us work from home on weekends. It sure would help people pick up shifts and they wouldn't be struggling to get coverage at times.

Dh and sons are heading out to do some ice fishing today. Dh found a couple of items cheap that someone was getting rid of for cheap. It's not my cup of tea - but with the tent and heater he acquired I could probably go along and do it on a mild weather day. It might be a fish fry night.

Last night I ordered in pizza. I was going to make burgers and fries for supper - but I was plain old tired. So I'll make that another night. I was craving a burger - so it will be on the menu ::yes:: one night!!!!

I am loving that the days are finally starting to feel longer! A friend shared some pictures of where she is this winter - and I sighed at seeing green and clear blue skies!!! I always struggle from Dec to late February. We are at 41 days until Mexico - and it can't come fast enough.

there was a gorgeous sunrise.....:sunny:
:lovestruc amazing pictures!!! Your scenery is stunning.

The day started off with me almost getting hit in the office parking lot. She was trying to make a left out of the parking lot while I was trying to turn right into it
We actually put dash cams in all our vehicles now for this exact reason. It can be used with insurance claims, as well as evidence for law enforcement.
I am hoping that my stair closet is finished when I get home. I found this sign for the door.
What a perfect sign! Your cross stitch for B - amazing!!!!
I plan to bake lots of cookies tomorrow.
Need some snacking junk food as Mr Mac said we have nothing good in our house to eat….!
Yum!!!! Baking is my favorite way to spend the day.
Ah Saturday it is, and lazy day for us.
Enjoy your lazy day.
they drafted us to host a football viewing party tomorrow. There will be some takeout, usually pride myself on everything being homemade but, know I can’t tackle it all. (tackle hehe)
It sounds like you are on the mend. It seems like the RSV, c-vid, and all other lung issues are hard to get over this year. The recovery time definitely is taking a long time. I know people who are saying it is taking them weeks to get over some of their illnesses. I hope you continue to steadily recover.

Well, I'm going to make a couple of walking laps around the office to get some extra steps in today. I just feel better when I get more movement in my day!

Have a great day everyone!

Ice fishing sounds terrifying to me, but it`s not something done over here, but hope you got some fish! Can`t get fresher than that.

Thank you, we do live in a beautiful area and yes, I said a few days ago I think it`s beginning to get lighter in the mornings and evenings, just a little but enough we notice it. Someone on the tv said now it won`t be dark before 4.30pm now till November 16th, that seems a long way off right now though!!

Isn`t it true we always feel better when we get out walking!!! We feel as though we`ve been hibernating forever right now!!!

Hope your weekend goes fine with no issues.

Another lovely day here, but it all goes downhill tomorrow with rain coming our way but it`s been such a lovely weekend for a change. Sun is shining and not too cold.

Already got some baking going on, rosemary, garlic and onion bread in the Aga and scones, muffins and a cherry cake in the normal ovens, will try not to eat too much as the cherry cake is for the farm and muffins are for one of my godchildren, she passes them off as her own....lol.....

Doing steaks for dinner tonight, filet for me and T Bone for Tom, lunch might be missed as we had french toast, avocado, bacon and some fresh fruit for breakfast and on our third pot of tea right now.

Late night last night so taking it easy today, apart from baking, not much else going on today, another lazy one for us 🥰

Might be getting tempted by a hot buttered scone being put in front of me right now......well, just the one!!

Happy Sunday 😁

Ah what was that noise? Oh rain coming hard and blowing across the windows around 5 am this morning. Picked my phone up. Yep, glob of green with yellows in there. Turned on news. Um, rain and snowy mix to be tonight into tomorrow morning, came much earlier than first thought. Hence, as we are at 38 and not much below that in the overnight, means the very wet day we will have, will just be a cold feeling rain. Then dry days after today, saying we will be most of this week. That would be nice. Seems more average temps this week. High temps are in the high 30’s and mid 40’s. Perfect for the week we turn the calendar to February. Good thing it’s our shortest month. Coldest generally, too. Hence, this warmer weather liking homie, will be happy when those glorious sunny Spring 80 degrees days are here.

Still, glad it’s still a lazy weekend feeling day. Sister asked to come to visit. We may. Then it’s that usual Sunday activities of alarm set, and trash to curb after dinner.

So, quiet morning, at first traffic sounded like wet roads, now, not as much. I guess just rounds of intermittent rain is what is happening. Eh, damp feeling indeed, Keisha, with all the wet these last couple of days.

Yay, it’s DH and my time. Older one works, so may see him before late sleeper little one does.

Super nice Sunday wish to all. Umbrella in hand homie I was, with my lightweight winter jacket, as I tossed more trash in the can earlier today. Ah, good morning.

Good morning everyone :wave2:

Enjoy a warm beverage be it coffee or tea and enjoy.

Glad things are good for you, and being back in Florida now it`s warming up will be lovely for you both. You`ll both be back to normal before you know it and you`ll be settled in no time at all.
Thank you Carole. It is so good to be back in the sunshine and getting stronger every day thankfully. As long as I have my sweetheart by my side all is good.

Finally got the call to say I`m back volunteering tomorrow morning in school, It was supposed to be Tuesday but with the dental appointment I couldn`t do it, so Thursday it is this week. Tom is out with his volunteering too, so he can drop me off then I can either walk home if the weather is decent or he`ll come pick me up.

I have missed doing this.
Glad to hear you are back to your school volunteering position. I’am sure the children will enjoy you being back.

It is so nice that you and Tom volunteer your time.

Would u believe he is still waiting for them to call him back & reschedule it? Told him to start calling them every single day & leaving a message at this point, yes, purely out of spite. Fine example I’m setting, call it a protest for poor servic
So sad when things have been reduced to patient doing the job of the Specialists office staff. I hope your son gets his testing done soon.

Seems as tho there are so many serious accidents on that route! Scary stuff
I 75 and the Turnpike have gotten pretty scary of late. Folks are just driving to fast.

Great to hear, the warm weather should knock out all the germs for you! Enjoy being a snow birdie. curious, do you have a 2nd health care team in FL Or go with telemedicine? I’ve yet to do a video visit Of any sort.
The last couple of years we have had to spend a little more time in Indiana do to health issues. We typically travel back and forth a lot. It is busier here during the winter when the snowbirds are here.

We do have a health team here in Florida and in Indiana.

How long do you usually stay in FL when I lived in Miami we made fun of the "snowbirds" but now spending winter in FL seems like a good idea.
We travel back and forth usually. Will stay planted here for a while.

It is busier during the winter when the snowbirds are here. I have come to appreciate them more after talking to the local business owners about how much the snowbirds pump into the local economy while they are here during the winter.

Someone has written a book stating you should add salt to tea....bleurgh, and also admitted even in America`s top restaurants you will never get a decent cup of tea in the United States......very true!!!
Yuck, never heard of such a thing as putting salt in tea.

In the south ice tea is popular. Folks typically have their own recipe. My Aunt always made a strong tea base by heating up water on the stove in a tea kettle or cooking pan and adding her black tea bags. She then let that cool down and added water and simple syrup to taste and would make it by the gallon. Then she would add lemon or orange slices and ice to the glass and fill it with tea.

We also make hot black tea, lemon, and a little less then a dram of whisky for a sore throat.

For sure the British Isles are tea drinking connoisseurs and have tea prep and drinking down to an art form.

The American Embassy released this yesterday.....I did like their (I hope) humorous last line, but sadly I`m not sure it is meant to be funny!!! And completely disagree we share the view tea is a bond between our great nations......nope, America is most certainly a coffee drinking nation, we are still generally tea drinkers, although we do have a lot of coffee drinkers too.
That is weird that the American Embassy would comment on tea of all things…..Yes, we do like our coffee here in America.

Bad news: my back is still sore. Good news: the cupboard under the stairs is finished. The new sign should be arriving from Amazon on Sunday.
Sorry to hear your back is sore. Sending healing prayers your way.

Glad to hear your cupboard under the stairs is done.

This was such a pretty sunrise!! An hour or so earlier it was all pinks and reds, but we got this when we arrived.
Beautiful picture of the sun coming up over the Shoreline on the beach.

Hey all, have been trying to build up my stamina the last few days. Went at it too hard the first day…my house was screaming for a deep clean. Three hours later & I was ready to collapse. Did much better the next when going slower & taking breaks every hour or so just to sit down. Call me granny Moses.
Good to hear you are getting better. Take your time and let your body heal.

Already got some baking going on, rosemary, garlic and onion bread in the Aga and scones, muffins and a cherry cake in the normal ovens, will try not to eat too much as the cherry cake is for the farm and muffins are for one of my godchildren, she passes them off as her own....lol.....
Your baking sounds yummy. What do you put in your cherry cake?

Sitting in my favorite chair looking at the Palm Trees this morning. The sun is shining. We had the yard guys here yesterday trimming the dead limbs off the Palms yesterday. They will be back next week to do some mulching in the beds around the house and around the Palm Trees.

I did look at dates to go have a look at Mardi Gras at Universal. Will try and figure what works.

Not much else going on here. Nice day to lounge and take it easy.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone doing whatever makes you happy.

Good evening. I’ve had a mostly lazy day today. Caspian woke me around 5:30 this morning. Dh fed him, but he would not settle down. He finally went to sleep around 6:30, so I was able to go back to sleep. I didn’t wake up until 10:00. I was glad to wake up though. I was having a disturbing dream.
I finished my Georgia cross stitch today. Florida will be next.

Please don’t overdo it. The house can wait.

Same, however, find it amusing when they say they drove thru on a road trip or had an hour layover when flying. Guess it technically counts.
I am only counting the states I’ve actually spent some time in. If I only drove through and stopped at a rest area or changed planes in the airport it doesn’t count.

They did a very nice job picking the frame. I learned to do my own, there were many misses before I got the hang of it
I used to be able to cut my own mats, but that was back when I took photography classes and had access to the school’s equipment.

i avoid the CB like that plague, too many trolls living in caves there that pop out Willy Nilly. Need cliff notes version.
I used to post in a dance mom (not related to the TV show) forum and a Girl Scout leaders/parents Facebook group. We had some epic trolls there. I guess some people have too much time on their hands.

Dh and sons are heading out to do some ice fishing today.
Brrrrr! I can’t imagine doing that, but I hope they had fun and caught lots of fish.

Turned on news. Um, rain and snowy mix to be tonight into tomorrow morning, came much earlier than first thought.
I think we may be getting a mix Wednesday morning.

Mine was always boil the water, steep the tea bags, pout into a pitcher, and add sugar while the tea was still hot. I prefer mine plain with no extra flavorings. Not even lemon. I have not made iced tea in several years. My doctor says it is not good for someone with a history of kidney stones.

I almost forgot. We had a little excitement in the neighborhood tonight. B and I left for supper around 7:00 and there was a police car with lights flashing at the end of my street. I found out via our neighborhood chat group that someone was arrested for a DUI hit and run. Thankfully the victim is okay. I don’t know if either party was one of my neighbors or if the police chased the suspect into my neighborhood. I’m just glad they got a drunk driver off the streets.

Just a quick drive by to read up on how all the homies are doing.

Will be delighted when it’s February and warmer temperatures in my area.

I have adjusted just fine as never was fond of snow.
My brothers always loved making snow men and having snowball fights.

My next door neighbor says she would love to go to Chicago and play in the snow and tells me how fabulous it would be.

I do think she has a drinking problem….

Ah don’t have a cat to wake us up, but do have that alarm. Both DH and I were slow to get up.

But both of us are online for over an hour now. My office said to use a web access account instead of securing laptop one. Sigh. Wonky, but hey it’s working, as hope it does all day, as known to be very unstable. Given all have to use that web access, fingers and toes crossed as to me having connection all day. I hope it gets resolved by the time I commute tomorrow. So much easier to use that secured regular way I always do. Much more stable. Though when it’s out, can’t access anything. So at least we do have a way to work online for times like the last two days. Was notified of the outage twice yesterday.

And thus, we will hear the trash trucks soon enough. Last trash was tossed in a breezy 36 degrees. But at least no rain to see in those clouds. News said wind guts of 26 mph. Hold on to those hats or bad hair day alert.

Hope that rocket went off, and Robo took some great pictures of it. Neat you get to have that happen where you are.

Nothing like a Monday to start this week day routine. Glad the rain is gone for most of this week.

Most Marvelous Monday to all, today. Wee, ending days of January this week.
