Had a late start due to training I had to stream, most of the morning, and it ran overtime. So, late start we had to do. Whatever. But seems like everyone is having a late lunch want when we thought maybe less due later lunchtime. Nope. Will see how long this takes.

Even though close to 80 the temp, the feel line is 101 degrees. So so sticky.

Safe travels to Sue and her daughter, this later in the day flight. Was nice to meet up with both of you.

Robo, you house looks fabulous with all the Halloween decor out. Nope, not too early to see spooky decor now.

Hehe, Robo, they must have had one left over, and put that chandelier in the newer opened AP lounge.

For those interested, the lounge still had a few AP cups. And still was giving out the smallish picture free with your pass. Finally, they had the AP Halloween shirt, if you think maybe a shorter line than in the new HHN store, and they had several racks, so a bet they still may have your size. Only thing, they have more limited hours. 11 am to 4 pm. I think the HHN store would be open all day from probably 11 am, and of course during the HHN nights too.

Storms around today, and phone flashed lightning in the area at least times today. Eh, normal summer for Florida and where we live too. Have ponchos, so we were good. We did wait until the rain was not so hard the last time, though. Hence, time to really look around the lounge.

Ah Fabulous Friday feeling tomorrow. Our week end fun ending last full day. We are thinking some shopping and eating fun back to the Spring’s we go in the morning, then park fun, and me, a wander into the first HHN at night. I think that’s our Friday.

We ordered takeout from Jake’s, and little one went down to pick it up, she texted they said the kitchen is slow this evening. Eh, but I’m sure we will be eating a very late dinner, before too much more time.

My favourite month of the year has arrived! Yes, we have a lot of birthdays and anniversaries and I do always worry I forget someone, but it`s just a nice month. I do have an old fashioned calendar on one of the walls in the kitchen and everything gets written up on that, if it`s not on the calendar, it`s not happening.

Always feels like autumn has arrived despite it not being the official date, however it looks very autumnal out there today. Grey, light rain and quite cool.

No walking this morning for us, certainly not this morning, so said we`d drop a lasagne off to the farm, then head off to do a little shopping for the weekend, much prefer to avoid weekend shoppers. We don`t need much though. I`m sure we`ll leave the farm with 30 eggs......I sense baking ahead!

Thai chicken curry for dinner tonight, going to make some coconut rice so need to pick up coconut milk as I don`t have any rather unusually. Lunch will be BLT`s but first, breakfast of muffins and fruit, already had my first pot of tea, will have another when sleeping beauty gets up.

But, Friday, it`s the weekend and although we have no plans at all to go out, we`ll watch some movies and hopefully walk a little too.

Happy Friday and happy first day of September. We are going to have a beautiful weekend. Sunny, blue skies, lower temps, and low humidity. First football game of the season is tomorrow. I need to do some laundry so I have something to wear tomorrow. Or I could get B to get me another shirt at the bookstore today. She gets a nice employee discount.

Just 15 more days until my Orlando trip.

Ah the last full day for us, and I’ll wander into HHN to report for ya. Rainy with light rain, then only a low rain chance for the next two hours.

We shopped and had lunch at Art Smith’s. The chicken and mashed taters were so filling. We rolled out of there. Tapped off the gas at Costco, so car is ready to return to the airport tomorrow late afternoon.

Back chilling and putting our packages away. May take some park fun in before it closes for night. Looks like the first HHN night will be perfect, 79 to 80 most of he night, and no rain to speak of. Next week here looks like dry days.

And interestingly, SW keeps telling I should go to the new NE corridor separate checkin area. Guess when we drop our bags to the SW area, we will look for that sign as where those new counters are. Makes sense, I’m sure there are lots of flights from DC to Boston that come here every day.

Yay for Charade’s countdown. Our next one is 16 days away. Oh my. Will be nice to see ya in a few weeks.

One of my nieces lives in London and her business is close to Kings Cross, and on September 1st Kings Cross announces the departure of the HE and being a huge Potter fan she wandered down again to see it today




She said it is always mobbed with Potter fans and they all love it.

Today has been a very autumnal day for sure, coldest day in a while we’ve had, so made for a cosy afternoon movie watching and snacking! Perfect Friday afternoon.

Supposed to be a sunny weekend, but again, cooler than we’ve had. We’ve no plans for the weekend, going to be a quiet one for us apart from a walk in the morning.

Tonight, another movie and Tom has asked for a cocktail and surprise him, so while he gets the movie ready I’ll go and make Dark and Stormy drinks for us, rum, ginger beer and a big dash of lime. Lots of ice and a wee selection of snacks. Don’t need much as we had chicken curry with some coconut rice, not a huge portion though so we have room for snacks.

Lamps have been on since around and back to my Yankee candles lit at night, feels very cosy with them lit

Chasing our tails here today, both passed our physicals with flying colors. We didn’t get a sold star or even a lollipop

Spent hours picking up provisions for two households. Otherwise they’d surely starve while I’m gone for 13 days. Poor babies lol

Taking a break before I run hrs up to his freezer. He just texted me from work that I’ll need to clean it out first to make room

Keisha, AP lounge in Toon town. Eh, not so cool feeling as some other stores, but nicer chairs and sofas, though no ice freeze cokes.

Pop up thunderstorm has rocked the resort with lots of lightning, and heavy sheets of rain. Was going to stay in the park, but after seeing the radar, we hustled back to hotel, and thank goodness we were wearing quick dry clothes. Only our shoes and socks got the drenching, as rain started as we got to the path back to hotel, and path was flooded in parts.

Think I may go to HHN, but after that weather radar shows clear skies. For all those in the outside lines, going to be drenched. Heard as I was walking out, saying some of the stay zones are already at capacity, at close to 5 pm. Going to be a very busy night. Hence, I’ll wait until after opening to get a less busy entry.

I should be sleeping but am not really sleepy yet. Our football game starts at noon tomorrow. We are part of a sort of tailgate club so we get a meal before every game. Tomorrow it’s breakfast and they start serving at 9:30.

Yay for Charade’s countdown. Our next one is 16 days away. Oh my. Will be nice to see ya in a few weeks.

Much better, thank you. I don’t know why I was feeling so blah the other day. Thankfully the feeling passed quickly.

I don’t really need anymore university shirts, but maybe I should take advantage of the discount while I can. I’m afraid she won’t have this job much longer. She’s only scheduled for one 4.5 hour shift next week.

Goodness, where has the morning gone! Got up at 6am despite planning to sleep late, it`s now almost 10am and I`ve done far too much for a Saturday! And enjoyed bacon and fried egg on a toasted roll.....lush!!! My husband cooks eggs so good, I do the bacon and tea.

My nephew and his wife got drenched going into HHN last night, they were so glad it finally went off when he emailed me. They weren`t impressed with the length of EP lines although the houses they did do they really enjoyed, just not the wait. Going back tonight and they have another 5 nights I think they`re planning on doing. But, they`re really excited for Howl o Scream coming up for them too, we got them their version of EP too as we really enjoyed having it last year when we went with keisha and her mister.

I have to say I`m not disappointed we`re not there this year, and I doubt we`ll do HHN next year, it`s just not the same as it used to be and far too many EP`s being sold it seems.

Sad to see Jimmy Buffet has passed away..........quite a character indeed and seemingly a very nice man.






So, as I have done any housework that needed doing, only a few things to do in the bedroom and our bathroom then a very lazy day planned, light lunch as breakfast was very filling and stir fry for dinner tonight, nice and spicy......chicken, pineapple, ginger, green onions, very finely sliced red pepper and lots of jalapenos, doing a plum sauce mixed with some teriyaki and sweet chilli......very lush!!!

Movie day for me and my mister!!

And so our checkout day has arrived. We are up and mostly packed. Little one is up, but we take our time getting ready. I think she’s going to the shower soon. Then we send a text, leave and check our bags, and go have some park fun and some lunch, before we return to the hotel and leave until two weeks from now.

My nephew and his wife got drenched going into HHN last night, they were so glad it finally went off when he emailed me. They weren`t impressed with the length of EP lines although the houses they did do they really enjoyed, just not the wait.

I‘am beginning to think getting rained on at HHN is a right of passage now for everyone who goes.

I heard a lot of people were upset about the length of time waiting in line with EP. I have always had EP added to my ROF so I don’t have to wait in line long. I can’t stand in one place for long periods of time do to back and leg issues. Will see how things go.

I know the Resorts appear to be pretty much sold out during the time we are going to be there.

It is sunny this morning and the high is supposed to be 89. It was a nice day yesterday and I was able to get a few things done in the yard.

I‘am going to go over to Rural King and see if I can buy some bulk dried corn for the deer. There has been a Doe and her two fawn’s coming up to eat for the past 3 weeks.

The area behind our home that was all woods was cleared out to make way for the houses that are there now. That is where the deer lived. Not sure where they are hunkering down now, but they are still coming around looking for food.

They have eaten all the leaves off a variety of hosta’s I have.

I made an apple crisp for hubby the other night and put out the apple peels and the last the dried corn I had and the doe and her babies came up and ate every bit of it.

Not much else on the agenda today.
