I was keeping our Eastern Caribbean cruise a secret from the kids. I did tell a friend of mine at church.

He spilled the beans. He thought we were going this year, not next and asked my DD how it was.

Dope.

I mean me. Why can't I keep a secret to begin with?

Now my DD knows, but my DS does not, LOL. Wonder how long it will last.

We're not really concerned about "keeping it a secret" from our DS6, but we want to spare him from obsessing over the cruise for a year and a half. That's why we're not talking about the cruise in front of him.

I understand your frustration, though.

Might as well tell your DS.
