Ok, we are booked for Sept 10th-Sept18th for the free dining...here is my question...can I just book the package with a one day base ticket and then order my tickets through ticketmania...or the Disney Store, or do I have to include my 8 day tickets in my package...any help would be greatly appritiated.

I am really curious to know why you would want to do it that way. If I read everything right, wouldn't the 9 day ticket be less expensive than paying for a 1 day on the package plus the 8 day? Even if you ordered it as part of the package from Disney?
I see lots of people on the boards getting the 1 day b/c they have the AP or old tix to use, but what is the advantage of doing it the way you are asking about.

the reason I would like to do it this way is the package price is due 45 days in advance, if I had to do that then it would mean more out of pocket money right now...where if I could just get one ticket then I could wait till before we are about to leave to buy our tickets from the DS....

AHHHH! I see. Very savy. I saw some one else ask this one, doing it for the same reason and the replies they got suggested they get the one day for each person as part of the package and just upgrade the tix once they got there to the length they really wanted.
Sorry, I couldn't find the thread but it was within the past 2 weeks or so. When I saw your post, I was hoping for a new idea on how to save $, you just never know what you can learn on these boards. They are great! Have a wonderful time and say Hi to Mickey for me!

You may want to sub to mousesavers.com's newsletter. You will get a link to ticketmania that could save you money getting your 8 day tickets that way. The prices posted include taxes & shipping...which saved us over $80 alone last month when we bought our 10 day tickets.
