Someone please help with with AP info!!

So I am debating on getting an AP for myself since I would like to go to WDW again in August 2005. I already have a reservation at PC for December-how do I know if I can get an AP rate? Do I have to have the AP now or just before I get there? What is this about activating it? HELP! Give me the low-down!

You dont have to have the AP in hand when making the reservations. When you call, just tell them you have one. You will need it before check in to show proof of having one. Activating is easy, just go to any park or DD and give them the voucher. You will show your ID and they will print it out for you. Takes about 5 mins. AP's are great!! YOu can go anywhere and do anything for the whole year. I bought them for our trip in sept 2001, and then we went back a week early in sept 2002 and used them again. Saved a ton of money on tickets! And you get the Mickey monitor newsletter in the mail 4 times a year for being a passholder.
