Someone just came back and was upgraded to GF Main Building Concierge!!

This person I know at work just came back from WDW. He was there last week. They were on the fairytale package with a silver plan add-on. They reserved a lagoon view room.

He told me when they checked in at 6pm on Sat., they were upgraded to main building concierge. He did not ask for it and did not know that it cost a lot more. He did not even use it much because they had everything planned out and with the silver plan, they ate elsewhere most of the time.

It makes me feel a little sad because they upgraded a family who did not really care if they have concierge or not, while to another family, that could have been MAGIC!!!

Last September, two weeks before our trip was to begin, we received a call saying that our hotel was overbooked because of a triatholon. We were upgraded to the GF concierge main building. We knew enough to realize how lucky we were and how much this package would have really cost. We also knew that concierge could get us tickets to Cindy's breakfast. We tried booking on our own, but as soon as we became concierge guests the concierge staff was able to get us ressies on the day and time we wanted. Needless to say, our family had a very magical vacation!

Wow- that's like a dream come true. I had a GV booked last year and when I arrived, they upgraded us to lodge concierge. Having spent a good deal of time on this board, I knew exactly what a great deal I was getting and had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming! This year, I'm taking no chances on an upgrade and am paying to stay SL- this time next week I'll be jetting on down to Disney!

What a lovely surprise for those people.
