My husband and I have a secondary email that we normally use as kind of a throw-away email account. I check it occasionally and last week I noticed that there were emails regarding opening ebay and paypal accounts, and buying activity.
I contacted both ebay and paypal to let them know, and they said they would take care of it. We don't use that email address for any financial accounts, it contains the least amount of personal information, and it's not connected to our other email accounts (or anything at all!), so I'm not worried about anything happening to us. But my question is, why would anyone do that? It's easy enough to open an email account; why would someone in Canada want to use our email address to buy motorcycle parts?
Thanks!
