While those of use 65 and over can't get one until at least June at last report here.Kids were discussed in today's covid-19 briefing. Dr. Fauci said trials with kids continue, they are hoping to start vaccinating children late spring/summer this year.
(I'm sure depending if all goes well.)

I just found a link, thought I'd add it here. It's very encouraging news to me.What I read said "The next step, Fauci said, involves testing in children down to 12. If successful it will be followed by another round of testing, down to nine years old. "
Still lots of Disney kids younger than that, so it will be a long time still.
Hi, friends!
We currently are booked for the August 9 cruise (4 night, Bahamian). I also have a reservation for January 3 (same cruise, different date), 2022.
I honestly don't know what to do at this point! I don't want to end up going in August if we'll have to wear masks. Mind you, we are all about masks, distancing, sanitizing, etc when we are at home, but don't want to have to deal with them on a vacation! The lack of info from Disney about future cruising restrictions/protocols is frustrating and not helping me make a decision. If we wait till January 2022, my kids will have to miss a week of school (which is ok) but there's a better chance (I think/hope) of things being more "normal" on the cruise.
If we cancel August, we will go to a resort in the Catskills for a week at the end of June instead, and keep the January.
Help! What would you do in this situation?
Cancel August, and be prepared to find out masks will be required in January as well.
I believe masks are going to be around longer than first thought. This is only an opinion and a guess. I have no educated facts to base that thought on. For the same reason, I believe, the WDW organization has few answers. They just don't know. Covid is fluid and every changing.Hi, friends!

You can count on masks being required (unquestionably) in August '21 and (probably) in January '22. That is assuming that DCL is even sailing at all by August, which is itself a dicey proposition. DCL is more likely to be cruising in January '22, but you should not count on that cruise even approaching "normal".We currently are booked for the August 9 cruise (4 night, Bahamian).
