I drove into work this morning and I noticed that my steering was really heavy, when I got out of my car to look all the tyres have had the caps taken off and there is a huge nail in the front one which I don't think went in accidently! The front tyre is totally flat and needs replacing but Im hoping that the rest are ok. We live in a quiet area, there are only 4 houses down my road and I park right outside my house. I can't believe that this has happened! I feel really upset.

Sorry to hear that - there are some really horrible people around... :(. Never had tires let down, but have had car scratched a few times (so has husband). But we don't live in a quiet area... there is a lot of "through traffic" on foot... Some kids have nothing better to do than destroy other people's property :furious:

It's really not impossible to pick up a nail in your tire (although a bit of a coincidence that all of the caps were taken off at about the same time!). I had two flat tires within 3 weeks last winter. Think one of those was a nail. No suspicious circumstance on either though.

When you get home, check with you neighbours... They may have had similar problems (and may not ever have notticed the caps off of their tires)...

What a horrible thing to do :confused3 Hope you get it sorted out without too much expense :goodvibes

Hi

Thats horrible. We have had a few things happened where we live, but nobody else has had any problems. Perhaps somebody does not like us around here, although we dont say boo to a goose. I had my drivers door glass smashed in and our garage broken into, but nothing taken. Sometimes I think its kids trying to show off and in todays society they dont care. Kids are not scared of the police like we were.

I hope it does not cost much to replace, but it still leaves a sour taste in your mouth that someone has delibrately trashing your property. :furious:

No, I doubt it, just that your car happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time...

When mine was scratched, it was parked in our allocated parking space (parallel to the curb) in between two of our neighbours cars (three cars in a row). Neither of the neighbours cars was damaged... they just plumped for the middle one. :confused3

In this day and age a lot of crime/damage doesn't make any sense at all... some kids/young people are just selfish, inconsiderate and disrespectful - it's nothing against you, your car was just there when they wanted some fun... :sad2:

Very sad reflection on society.

So sorry to hear this, Jen, I don't understand why people do this. :grouphug: I hope it's not too expensive for you.

What a pain somebody who i work with had drawing pins stuck to her tyres.
It took her ages to get them out.
Hopefully it won't work out too expensive for you!

What a pain - hope the damage is not too costly
