darn, nobody else in my house has dis-itis like I do. I think about it all the time. But, I've been advised to quit talking about it, in not so many terms. Dh told me I was driving him nuts, and even my 6yo dd doesn't seem to be that enthused. So,being the stubborn cuss that I am, I haven't talked about it in a week. I even took my dis related screensaver off the computer. I'm not too stressed, bc I know I can save the money by the 3rd week of April, which is when dd's vaca is. Plus, last year I planned and booked our trip just about 2 months before we went, so, there's time. I'm just bummed that noone else is as enthused as me.

Don't ever appologize for loving WDW. And having the childlike magic in your heart.

If Loving WDW is wrong, I don't want to be right!

My family got tired of me saying things like"Only 348 days till Disney!"......BUT....now that I am saying "Only 37 days till Disney, they are getting more into it! :cool1:  :woohoo:

I can relate. DH "listens" to me but isn't as active in the enthusiasm department. My oldest DD(14) is a Disney freak but she'd rather leave the planning to me. Then I found out that my cousin is a MAJOR Disney freak too! We can chat all about Disney and we are just fine with that! I turned her on the these boards.. FourBoysMom!
Maybe you can take comfort knowing that when you come here you can ALWAYS talk Disney and we don't mind at all! I find that reading the trip reports gives me a good Disney fix. Try searching back to threads from April trips last year. You can get a feel for crowds and weather, etc. Also the UK trip reports are fun to read too.
Have fun planning!

While my family doesn't appreciate all the effort & time (prior to the trip) I put into planning WDW trips when they are there it shows on my childrens faces and my husband always comments on some of the things that he realizes we would have never know about (free dining in Oct. 05/Breakfast in MK before it opens for the day) or tried had it not been for the months of research and traveling the Disboards. As much as they probably love to go there they like my DH just don't like to hear about it day in and day out like us Dis-Freaks. But no fear, just come here and rant & rave with us! :goodvibes

My whole family thinks I am "over the top", with Disney, and the Dis. My husband made me beg him to go, next year. He downright told me absolutely not. He doesnt want Disney, he would rather cruise, or take a family road trip. He went in Oct 2005, and he wants nothing more to do with Disney for at least 3 years. :confused3 He even asked me why I wanted to go again, since I just had a trip there, in Sept with my ds12. I know exactly what you are going through. It is like pulling teeth over here for me too.

Anywho, cheer up. They will change thier tune, when it is time to go. Some, people, like you, and I, and most on the board. Find excitement, out of reading, and the extensive planning. While others, like our husbands and kids, dont. Different strokes, you know. But, they will be plenty excited, on the day they get to go. So, hold tight, do your planning, but most of all cheer up. You will be going to Disneyworld!! :goodvibes

Being excited about Disney simply means you're a good person. That doesn't mean the others aren't... they're just a little slow in coming around.

We've been vacationing at WDW for twenty years and I still get excited about it. I used to know exactly how many days until we went every year and I know some people got tired of hearing it. I think they were more jealous than anything. We now live about an hour away so I don't count down the days anymore, but I do look forward to popping on down for the day at least every few weeks and we still stay at one of the resorts for a few nights now and then.

It's just a good place for good people to have a good time. There's nothing wrong with that!
