Someday we'll B back in the World Sep11 PTR Updated 9/1-Arrival Day!!

Great theme nights!

I'm so impressed with people who can keep trips a surprise from their kids; I'm such a blabbermouth

We leave the day you get there; we'll wave to you as we pass each other :)

Hi there! I just read through your PTR, and it is exciting how close your trip is getting. I love the theme nights you have been doing. I wish I was that creative! You had some really great ideas. Looking forward to hearing how it goes when you tell them where you are going.

Ideas for the plane...I went to the Dollar store and bought little things to go in his backpack. Light up toys, some new cars, a little airplane, stamps and paper. I also took a bunch of snacks and some of those Crystal Light packets so I could make him "juice". The games on your ipod touch will help. I had an iPad and it made a big difference!

Love the theme night!

Thanks were are doing Cars tomorrow night!!

Wow your trip is soon then!! So exciting! I am a blabbermouth as well and I have kind of wanted to "spill the beans" for the last month or two, but my husband has kept me quiet!! Lol..he really wants to surpise them..I do too..but I have had few moments that seemed perfect..(u know where they are all sweet and unsuspecting and ooohing and aaahhing over a disney commerical or something)..it's funny because my DS8 has been saying "I wanna go back" alot since we've started our movie nights..I am planning our last four before going..and the last one will be WDW night..can't wait..gotta charge the camera!

Hi! Thanks for reading!! I know I can't keep it off my mind at this point!! The theme nights have been so fun! I hope to keep doing it after we get back..but I may scale it to once every two weeks or once a month..Great idea about the Crystal Light packets..I will do that..Alas, I don't have and I-pod touch..I WISH i did..lol..mine is just the dinky little nano, but although tiny it does have video..so we'll see how that goes..and i have an Android phone with a few little games and soundboards..so that should work for a little bit too..yesterday I thought of bringing a few little "containers" he loves opening and closing things over and over and OVER..lol. We were also looking through our scrapbook and he loves pictures of himself and his dad especially..i was thinking of making him a little picture book..hmmm...thanks for the tips!!

Since it's getting so close I should probably start planning out our days!

Day 1-Arrival Day!! Yay!!

The night before will have been our WDW theme night and I will most likely be up cleaning late and too excited to sleep. I will get up early and probably make the kids some Mickey pancakes and get together the last mintue stuff. If I am running super short on time (which I usually am) we may just stop for something on the way or eat lunch at the airport. Our flight is at 11:30. My plan is to have the luggage in the car the night before and be ready to jump into the car and take off. We should have one carry on for each of us (4) and 1 backpack filled with diapers and our 3:1:1 liquid bags to easily pull out. I will have a tote bag type purse with a goodie bag for DS2 and DS8. I will probably throw in an extra backpack or two in case we need it on the way back. We will also need to bring the stroller which we will be gate checking. I bought a new one for this trip that has one hand stand that I can just flip closed with one hand and it stands next to me..hopefully that works well when we are on and off of the monorails and buses (last time we had a car). We will also have the car seat because even though we are using ME at WDW, the 2nd half of our trip we are staying with friends for 5 days. I KNOW it's alot to carry..I hope we'll be able to swing it. I am going to try to get one of the those cart thingies I always see everyone with..is it called a Smart Cart?? Also have ME bring it to the room so we can skip baggage claim. My uncle is going to drive with us to the airport and then bring our truck home. My mother and older brother are planning to alternate dog duty for our Beagle and our two cats. Our flight leaves at 12:06pm and arrives at 2:24.

The plan is to get right off the flight and head to ME check in..and skip baggage claim..since we will only have the carry-ons. I have never taken ME and I'm hoping all the bad things I have ever read will be proved wrong. After checking in and dropping our luggage in room.

I am thinking by this time it's going to be at least 4-4:30 we will hop on a bus and go to My favorite park!!!

Magic Kingdom!! The park closes at 7 tonight for a halloween party but based on advice from Touring Plans we are not going to visit until the last day of the trip so I wanted to make sure we get in at least 1 ride and seeing the castle on our first day. Hopefully we will get in a ride or two and maybe a snack.

After the park closes we will head to DTD (which now I am thinking I have to go back to a resort to get on the DTD bus am I right??) because we have ADR HERE..

So excited about this one..we did this on our first trip and the kids loved it! I loved it too..I was debating between this and rainforest cafe but I have read that it is the same as the Rainforest Cafe we have here (which we happened to go to last weekend) and DS2 was just in awe of it all! Can't wait to see how he reacts this time now that he is big enough to play in the sand area too!! I hope we will be able to make the ADR at 7:45..hmm I'm going to have to look into that some more.

After eating dinner I am estimating it to be be somewhere around 9-9:30 and we will probably go to The World of Disney, D-Street, and of course HERE

for my DS8.

I would also like to try to get to Once Upon a Toy for DS2 so we can get some potato head parts.

After that we will go back to the hotel (probably broke! lol) to try to get some sleep so we can make rope drop for a park on our first full day. I will probably unpack our stuff and put it all away while DH gets the boys ready for bed and then we will collectively try to get DS2 to sleep. Last year he was only 1.5 and he slept in the playpen but NOT well..since then we have been to one overnight stay at a waterpark hotel and he slept in the bed with us and was great. Well for a two year old anyway. He woke up a few times but I layed him right back down and he went to sleep. But that was one night..so we'll see how he does..I know there is always potential for hiccups while vacationing and I hope this is not a major one..but I would take the lost sleep over anyone being sick. Since DS8 will be freshly in school at this time I hope he won't bring anything home!! Eeeek! :scared1:

Have a guess what park will we choose for our first day??

Your plans sound great! I have a suggestion, when you leave MK walk over to CR and catch a bus to DTD that way. There are bench right out front of the resort that are for waiting for the buses. Its only a 5 minute walk for MK to CR. :goodvibes

sounds like a fun first day! (though you're reminding me that I don't miss the days of trying to get toddlers to sleep in hotels )

I'll guess....Animal Kingdom for your first full day.
