Someday: the Sequel! A Dec 2013 PTR

mailed the check for my bracelets. Tell Brenda if she gets Tinkerbell charms I will want one of those too.

Thanks! I just PMed you asking for your address. I'll be sure to let you know if she gets Tink charms. I am surprised she doesn't have any already!

A Gavin bragging moment...

Each day of the school year someone brings something to share. It has to be related to the "topic" of that round. This round is a letter box. The child picks a letter and then fills a box with items that begin with that letter. Gavin picked the letter M because he wanted to take in a Mickey Mouse and a Minnie Mouse! :lmao: He really is my child!!! :rotfl2: Although, He really wanted to take in his Pal Mickey that he got this summer from our dear friends Tracy and Bill. I had to talk him out of that, but Brenda loaned him a Mickey Mouse bracelet charm and a Minnie Mouse charm. He came up with lots of other M items, including Mini-wheats to share for a snack. He is one smart cookie!!!

That is just adorable. I can't wait to give that little boy (and his sister) a big hug in December.

I am needing to warm up... A LOT! It has been so cold here today that I can't even seem to function! This morning while we were waiting for the bus, Gavin asked me if this meant it was winter. I told him, not yet, but soon. I am so not a fan of the cold. But on the other hand I don't like the super hot either. I need a constant 70 degrees to make me a happy lady. Although, I do think snow is ok on Christmas day... and ONLY Christmas day. A nice soft fluffy snow that only lands on the grass so that the roads are safe... Ok, now I am living in Fantasyland!! :rotfl2:

So this brings us to the first Tuesday of the trip. Our plan is to get up in the morning and head to DTD. Right now, this is the only time I hace scheduled for DTD so I know I have to find another time.. or two... to go to DTD. We have an 11:30 reservation at T-rex!! This is a repeat restaurant from 2010. Way back then, I was afraid Gavin would be terrified of the large dinosaurs. When the day came to go to T-rex he LVOED it. He was 3 at the time so he asked Jon to carry him in so he could be closer to their heads! :lmao: I got some cute pictures of where Gavin's head lined up perfectly with a dinosaur. No idea where those are saved right now or I would post one. I know, bad DISer. :rolleyes2

We will hit a few of our favorite stores in DTD. One of which will have to be the Christmas store. I refuse to go home to PA again without a new set of Christmas ornaments. There are very few things on MY WANT list. I really want some of the Black Vera Stuff (Namely the cross body bag and wallet) and some Christmas Ornaments. Last trip I purchased the balls that look like Mickey. I took them home and bought a gold paint marker and wrote 2010 on the back of the balls. Each years when we got those balls out of storage, the kids know to let those for mom, since they are glass. Even in the rough times, we would talk about our trip as I hung those 4 ornaments on the tree. It it always my favorite time of the year... and hanging the Disney ornaments is the best moment. It will be nice this year to have a second set to reminisce about... And for the years to come, those will streak happy memories too, I am sure.

So after a little bit of shopping, we will head back to the hotel drop our things and then head to the CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: The last trip this was such an awesome time for us. I need to tell you a little bit about that party too... or at least the days leading up to the party. My dad had promised the kids that he would buy the MVMCP tickets for the last trip. It was an expense that was NOT in the budget for us that trip. I have to take some of my brain power and figure out which was more worth things, BBB and PL OR MVMCP. It was a tough decision and I out it on the last PTR to get more input from others that had done it. Well, the most awesome Tracy and Bill contacted me that they had 2 extra tickets and were spreading the pixie dust. pixiedust: We only needed to buy the kid's tickets. We were in awww of someone being that kind to us. I spent several days simply tearing up that these kind "strangers" (at the time) would do something so magical and amazing for us. Everytime either Jon or I would think of it and say something I would start to cry. They were being nicer than my own dad had been. So that is how we got to the last MVMCP!

We did things a little different that night. There had been some rides that I knew Jon had wanted to ride (namely Space Mountain)... and I wanted to see the fireworks and parade. So, we split up. Both of the kids ended up coming with me, which I was so ok with... and Jon went off for a little and rode, but not before our family picture with the 7 dwarfs!!!!! Check out this picture... My babies were so tiny then!!!

This year Jon has decided to do things a little differently. I have made the offer to split again and take the kids with me. He said that this time he would rather stay together. He is sure the kids will want to do some rides and I told him that is fine, as long as it doesn't get in the way of the parade or Holiday wishes! :rotfl:

I do also know that at some point we are meeting up with Bill and Tracy!!! :wave2: They have a dinner BOG reservation to go to shortly after they get to the park. But I know we are meeting up!!! ::yes::

Our goal is to have an awesomely amazing night. Since its a party, no Fastpasses.. just fun! I am really hoping that we finished off the night at Cosmic Ray's for the kids to enjoy the dance party. Its so funny to watch them try to dance. Last trip, we didn't know about the dance party till we stumbled into it... and the kids had so much fun!

I have no doubt, the kids will fall asleep on the bus ride back to POP... and Gavin will be a grumpy butt to wake up enough to get him into the room. The only thing I have not worked out in all this plan is when I am going to take care of Gavin's flush. I know the other night won't be quite this late so I guess we will have to work something out. In the end, I know it will all be good!

I LOVE THIS DAY...because I'm arriving. And you did know that we are going to be at the party too, didn't you? We will have to pick a time and place to meet. Oh my...this is so exciting. I can't wait to meet you guys and gals.

Love your plans!! I love the MVMCP, its such a fun time. There is a great dance party in Frontierland with Woody and Jessie too, Jack loves that one. I have some really cute pics of him dancing with Jessie :lovestruc

I lvoe Disney Christmas ornaments too, they definitely have a way of bringing back great memories!

Ok, now you are all going to be really bored of me, but I was just taking a walk down memory lane viz photobucket... There are some pictures from our last trip I must share...

My amazing beautiful princess after BBB...

How cute is Pirate Gavin???

This is the face I expect to see A LOT on Sunday Evening!!!

O'hana... a do again!!!

A chilly night at the Osborne Lights... but so worth the cold!!!

LOVE those pictures, Tammy. The kids are going to be so excited after the big reveal on Sunday.

We are going to the party Tues also. I didn't know about the dance party and I know Connor, my 5 year old grandson would love it. The cool 13 year old, Cody, won't do it I'm sure :rotfl2:

Lots of great updates!! Love seeing all the flashback pics! Can't wait to hear about the reveal on Sun. Glad to hear that the bracelet business is going so well. We will also be at DTD Tues am and the party Tues night. I hope we can all meet up-Bill and Tracy too-they are DIS Legends and my daughter is going to be Princess Leia for Halloween and knows all the Star Wars peeps you mentioned. My Hubby is a HUGE Star Wars fan!!!

I promise I will get to shout outs... most likely tomorrow morning. I have to get this quick story out, but have a box of tissues close by. It had me so teary for about an hour.

Today was the day I was to return the call to the Pizza Man. I tried a few times but because he was on the road he kept having to call me back. :drive: Finally he said he would just call me when he was back in town this afternoon. So, I went on with my freezing cold day. This afternoon the phone rang and it was a number I did not recognize. So when I picked it up, it was the "Pizza Man"... His real name is Johny. So Johny asks if I am ok to talk about Gavin's issues. At this point, I have the whole thing down and could explain it in my sleep. Everyone asks, and I don't hold anything back. I figure, I have nothing to hide and the more people know about Hirschsprung's Disease the more likely that someday there may be a cure, or at least testing so that parents are more prepared... In any case, I go into Gavin's story and I can tell Johny is paying close attention to every word. He asks questions here and there and in the end he sounds a little choked up when he says "The little boy has been through so much and I have no idea how as a parent you and your husband have survived." He is a prat of 2 small girls and one of them had her tonsils out and he just wanted t cry for her... he couldn't imagine the pain we have watched Gavin endure... and the pain in our hearts for him as we watch each new surgery, test and procedure. He goes on to say that he has heard the story before at his church and that over summer Gavin was on their Church's prayers list for a long time. He had never put two and two together. We get on the subject of how Gavin LOVES Pizza! He would eat it everyday if I would let him, but all that cheese everyday is not good for him. At the end of the conversation, he tells me that I should pick up the pizza on Sunday at 5:30 as I had planned. They went through 3 Mock up pizza yesterday to make sure they get it cooked right and it was perfect! He then tells me that everything is on him... from the Pizza, to the dessert and he is including 2 silly pizza hats for the kids. I was so teary at this point. It was so sweet... and to make 3 Mickey heads yesterday just to get it right... that shows how seriously he is taking things. He was overwhelmed that we had wanted him to be part of the reveal.

It shows me, there really are a lot of good people left in the world.

I hope we can all meet up-Bill and Tracy too-they are DIS Legends and my daughter is going to be Princess Leia for Halloween and knows all the Star Wars peeps you mentioned. My Hubby is a HUGE Star Wars fan!!!

We are totally up for DIS-meets :cool1:!! We are doing two MVMCP's because Bill says "the first one will probably be a bunch of meets" :lmao:. Does the man know me or what?

As for being "DIS legends" say what? That statement totally cracked me up :rotfl2:.

Bill has already said we are doing SWW in 2015, he is always thinking ahead :thumbsup2.

You know that picture of Gavin is one of my all time favorites. He is too dang cute.

I will PM you our plans, Bill and I are too boring to do a PTR, we normally do the same stuff over and over :rotfl:.

Those pictures of the kids are my favorites, although there is nothing like seeing Gavin in regular clothes with those eyebrows and mustache - now that was awesome. I am still kicking myself for not getting pictures. I didn't want him to be scared by some stranger taking pictures of him.

I am so happy the DIS helped us find each other .

The pizza man story is wonderful, such a great person!!

Oh my gosh! I LOVE finding people who are just genuinely amazing people. There are very few business owners who would even bother to get to know their customers on that kind of level let alone go out of their way to help them! That kind of story helps restore my faith in humanity :) I deal with some pretty crappy people at work, and it's good to know not everyone sucks lol!

Love the story about the Pizza Man!!! What a great guy. Can't wait to see the pizza!!!

I LOVE THIS DAY...because I'm arriving. And you did know that we are going to be at the party too, didn't you? We will have to pick a time and place to meet. Oh my...this is so exciting. I can't wait to meet you guys and gals.

I am game!!! Pick the time and place and we will be there with bells on! We just purchased our party tickets this morning so it is official now. I'll make sure to PM you my cell number so you have it in Disney. :dance3:

Love your plans!! I love the MVMCP, its such a fun time. There is a great dance party in Frontierland with Woody and Jessie too, Jack loves that one. I have some really cute pics of him dancing with Jessie :lovestruc

I lvoe Disney Christmas ornaments too, they definitely have a way of bringing back great memories!

Oh, we might have to check out that dance party in FrontierLand too!!!

The ornaments have been one of the few things that I have had from Disney that I can look at even when Disney seemed so far away and life was so gloomy. I think ornaments are tops on my list!

LOVE those pictures, Tammy. The kids are going to be so excited after the big reveal on Sunday.
I get a little worried about the pictures. I have a feeling that no pictures will ever compare to the Pirate Gavin picture and Princess Brenda picture. Those two pictures were taken at perfect times! Now the kids tend to mug for the camera so I am hoping PP can catch a few awesome ones again!

We are going to the party Tues also. I didn't know about the dance party and I know Connor, my 5 year old grandson would love it. The cool 13 year old, Cody, won't do it I'm sure :rotfl2:
We need to bump into each other... prehaps that would be a good way to get to the dance party at the end of the night... Maybe Brenda could even talk Cody into dancing... Not so sure... I have no idea what 13 year olds want anymore! :lmao:

Lots of great updates!! Love seeing all the flashback pics! Can't wait to hear about the reveal on Sun. Glad to hear that the bracelet business is going so well. Bill and Tracy are beyond awesome! Legends don't even begin to describe them... and I know as I type that, that Tracy is denying it!! :lmao: But she also knows I am ALWAYS right! :rotfl:

So looking forward to bumping int you too!

Jon is a HUGE Star Wars fan. I told me that we have to have a Star Wars movie day before we go. It'll be a good sleep for me! :happytv:

You know that picture of Gavin is one of my all time favorites. He is too dang cute.

Thanks. It is one of my favorites too! I am so hoping we can get another one like it this trip.

I will PM you our plans, Bill and I are too boring to do a PTR, we normally do the same stuff over and over :rotfl:.

Never be afraid... my kids are so used to have a million pictures taken of them. They don't even flinch anymore! LOL

I was just talking to Jon the other day... I have no idea where we would be right now with out you constantly telling me to "Believe". I know we wouldn't be a month away from a trip to Disney. You are one of my dearest friends. Thank you for encouraging me! :flower3:

The sad thing is, there are so many crappy people in the world today. Which I don't really understand since, for the most part, life is easier than it was a long time ago... when people were nicer. It's almost like a vicious cycle.

Your pizza man story gave me hope for humanity.

What a great guy.

He is great guy! He and his family are constantly doing nice things for our community. I think it's why his pizza shop is one of the favorites in town. God is blessing him for blessing others.

Yeah for the Pizza Man! If I was local I would visit him regularly!

Nini
We do often have Pizza from there. Especially on Tuesday when he does a BOGO deal on all pizzas on his menu!! Yummy!!!

Love the story about the Pizza Man!!! What a great guy. Can't wait to see the pizza!!!

I'll be sure to post a picture but it will most likely be posted Monday morning... after the kids get on the bus!

Yes the dance party might be a good place to meet. And my son Brian and grandson Cody are Huge Star Wars fan so I am sure they would love to meet Jon and talk SW. I'll make sure we exchange phone numbers before we go.
