Someday: the Sequel! A Dec 2013 PTR

We will be in Epcot that day too!

Having dinner at Biergarten (I think)

Nini
Perhaps we will bump into each other while we are there! It would be great to meet you and your family... be able to put another name with a face!

Your plans sound great! I did pick a pearl last year but I can't remember how much it was... I let Jack pick it out for me :) My parents got me a pearl in Hawaii that they are setting for my birthday so I am hoping to have them set together... What a great memory of your mom! She sounds just like you, absolutely the best mom! :thumbsup2
The pearl is my birthday stone. It always strikes a special place with me. I am seriously giving thought to letting the boys go get a snack and Brenda and I going to pick a pearl... although, I will need someone to take a picture. Perhaps we could use the snack as a reward for being good while we pick a pearl... I'll have to give that some thought.

My mom was the most amazing mom. I can't even begin to compare with her. I have so many great memories... memories from childhood up until a few days before she died. I hold them all dearly! And in all fairness, my dad was awesome growing up. He only changed once my mom had died and he remarried. I jokingly say that when dad passes away, mom is going to kick is behind for all the things he has done since she passed, when he gets there... and God will simply look the other way. :lmao:

That is our last day there.:sad::sad::sad: But we will be in Epcot from around 1 p.m. until closing. So I am sure we will run into each other there at some point.

I try not to answer my phone on vacation either. If it's something urgent, Andy will text me. Markie just texts me to annoy me. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I can't believe how fast the trips are coming up.
I really hope we do bump into you on this day too! It's so sad that your trip will be over this day... and mine in just 2 more days. Doesn't seem fair since we waited so long to get there.

I figure there are few things that would happen to make me leave Disney World. And honestly, none of them involve my dad. SO, whatever it is he thinks he needs, it will wait till we get home. I am not going to have his negative Disney attitude ruin my trip!

I have about a million things to get done... and no energy to do them. Time could really slow down right now. Although the kids would drive me crazy! Next time we go, I am not telling them till we are almost there! :rotfl2:

Of course you're not going to hang Gavin from the wall. That would just be wrong. You're going to be on one end of the couch and Jon on the other and you're each going to pull. That's the correct way of stretching a kid. :rotfl:

I love the story of your mother and her pearls. I bet that was neat to see the lady dive down and get the pearl for you. I picked a pearl this past May. I don't remember the exact amount but I do know that I picked the pearl and had it mounted in one of their settings and it was less than $50. (My Mama gives us $50 every year for Christmas and I use it at Disney so that's how I remember the "less than $50".)

I think pick a pearl is around $15 now. Might be a bit more, but in that range. We used to go to Ohio Sea World all the time too. I wish it was still there. It was so much fun!

I have been wanting to get this wrapped up by tomorrow but it doesn't look like I will. In a little bit I am off with Jon to do some Christmas Shopping for underprivileged children in our area, through the company Jon works for. I am hoping it will brighten my spirits.

On Tuesday, a friend of ours lost her battle with breast cancer. We knew the end was coming, but it's never something you are truly prepared for. Jaime was VERY close to Brenda and Brenda took it hard. Needless to say, I have lost the excitement for the trip and hope to be able to get it back soon. Her viewing is Friday and the funeral is Saturday. It just breaks my heart. Jaime was 35 years old and leaves a loving husband and a 4 year old son.

I am so sorry about your friend. Such a young woman and I feel for her husband and child.
I had a really bad week a couple of weeks ago. My 25 year old godson had surgery last summer for testicular cancer and we just found out it is now in his lung. He is doing chemo and hopefully will be cured. The same week I heard two of my friends have cancer....one with lung cancer and she is in chemo and the other with terminal colon cancer that is in her liver also. I have lost so many friends and family to this terrible disease and why we can't find a cure with all the resources we have is beyond me.
Anyway we must think happy thoughts as next week we will be in Disney. I still don't know when we will meet but we will.

I didn't expect to get another update done today. I went to help out with the Christmas shopping and they had more than enough employees to cover it. So, I left Jon there to help and I came home. There is so much to be done before we leave in 8 days that I thought I would use this time productively... updating my PTR. :rotfl: After all, I hope to get all of my days done before tomorrow. I am doing pretty good though. I just have this day and one more to post.

The real problem is, I have a ton of things to do to get ready. I have barely started my packing LISTs let alone begun the actual packing. :scared1: I know, I know... I should be well on my way to packing right now. There just has been so many things to juggle that I am no where near getting started. Heck, I don't even have the iron-ons for our shirts PRINTED! :scared1: Can't pack the shirts till they are printed! :lmao:

So this takes us to our last night of sleeping in Disney. I put it that way because even our last day (Dec 9) is practically a full day. I am hoping on this day that we get to sleep in some... I am also hoping that some little fairy will have come along, washed all the clothes and packed our room up nicely when we return at the end of the night... That would require A LOT of pixie dust. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Our very first FP of the day is one we will most likely skip. It is for 4 of us to ride Tower of Terror... 4 OF US! :rotfl: This would require a significant growth spurt for Gavin! :lmao: Not to mention, I rode it last trip (as did Jon) and neither of us was a huge fan. I don't think I like that falling without knowing. It was ok. I wasn't terrified... Just think I would really rather have the extra sleep or time to pack a few things up in the morning before we hit DHS! We have one other FP before lunch... and this one we will not miss! We have a FP for Toy Story! This is Brenda and Gavin's favorite ride... to the point where we had to buy it for the Wii. I am hoping all their practice does not mean the make mom look bad. I am sure it will be me and Brenda in one car and Jon and Gavin in the other. Hoping I don't make too poor of a showing.

After Toy Story, it is off to Hollywood and Vine for lunch. I have to tell you, I am not in any way excited for the meal... I am excited for Gavin to see Jake! I know this is another one of those lunches that it will be the last time for. I am sure that the next time we go (a long, long, long time from now), the kids will be too old for all those Disney Junior characters.

I have to tell you, since this is the last day we are in DHS I really need to make sure we see it all. Our family favorite is Beauty and the Beast. Belle is Brenda's favorite princess ever! Last trip, we watched Beauty and the Beast at least twice per day we were there! I kid you not!!! :cloud9: It is such an awesome story... Tale as old as time... Ok, I won't bore you with my rendition of the song, but you get my point! Even Gavin evens it.. which surprises me since he is at the age where he rolls his eyes when Brenda tells him about seeing the princesses! :rotfl2: I know we will not be leaving the park without seeing it today. There are a few other shows that we want to hit.

We do have an afternoon FP for Star Tours. Again, depending on who likes this one and who wants to ride, I might stay behind. This was more for Jon than anyone else. He is a HUGE Star Wars fan. Me, its ok, if I am in need of sleep. See, I don't know what it is about the movies, but as soon as they start my eyes get heavy. If someone does not want to ride, then I will take them and do something else with them. I know Jon will not want to miss this... and this is the last time for this trip.

As evening comes we will go stake out a good spot for the lights. I might spend a LONG time there... there might be lots of bribery with snacks for the kids. I just want to soak it all in.

This is also EMH for DHS so we plan on making a long day of things. I heard there is an awesome dance party for the kids once the park closes. I will have to get more info about that, but our plan is to hit the dance party and let the dance with their favorites. I think the hardest part will be the kids understanding that they won't sign autographs or pictures or anything. In any case, the kids will have a great time and most likely be tired on the bus ride back to Pop.

I am off to bed in a few (it's been a brutal week at work), and I will read your update tomorrow and comment then.

But I had to tell you how sorry I am to hear about your friend, Jaime. As a former woman with breast cancer, this just breaks my heart. Please give Brenda and yourself an extra hug from me. I will keep her husband and son in my thoughts and prayers. xoxo

I am here. A little late to the party, but I am here. And I read it all tonight, so I am ready to party along with you.

So, apparently “Someday” is my birthday. You’re welcome. :flower3:

I am not a star wars person either. I like your names for the people better than whatever their real ones are. :confused3

Fully agree about snow. One day per year only. And only in designated areas. ::yes::

I was in WDW Dec. of 2010 also and I swear it had to be the coldest weather Florida has ever seen. My brother wore shorts. And froze his you-know-what-off. :scared:

Have you noticed that Tracy lies a lot?? Says her and Bill are boring… She likes to play modest about how awesome they are, I guess… :rolleyes2

Don’t you love getting Disney presents?? Tracy has sent me a few and it just brightens not only brightens my day, it keeps my butt large. And for that, I am so very grateful.

I will try to stay caught up, with Terry working so much the next few weeks I may stand a chance.

Okay, well, I feel like there should have been some sort of warning that catching up here was going to make me emotional. Seriously! How amazing! What a great group of DisFriends!!! :goodvibes

And I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Cancer is a jackwagon.

Thanks for the "review" on the loom! :thumbsup2

I can't wait for your trip to start! Today marks a year since I was in Disney, and I'm so bummed! I just want March to get here NOW!!!!

You didn't love Tower of Terror? Seriously? It's my favorite ride of all in Disney. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

The plans sound great. We love TSM too and can't wait to ride it again soon.

I wish we could squeeze in a second night for the lights, but it just isn't going to happen this trip.

Ah, such great gifts for you and the kiddos!! Dis friends are the best!! I am very sorry to hear about your friend. We are getting so close!!

Your plans look great!! We are getting so close to our trip!! Can't wait to see you :).

What a great bunch of gifts you all got.

Your plans sound great. We are all so close. Hope to see you in the parks

I hope I will get to meet you next week. Are you going to the Dismeet on Dec. 3? I will be the chubby Grammy on the ecv with Brenda's bracelet on. Hope you have a safe trip.

Happy thanksgiving, Tinkertam family!!! I know this year your cups are overflowing with things to be thankful for!!! I can't wait for your trip to start and I hope that it's full of all the magic in the World! ;)

Hello all! I know I owe you all shout out and things but I really want to get the last day of my PTR posted. I am running out of time!! :confused3 I have no idea where the last 250+ days have gone!

So this brings us to our departure day... Not sure how it will have gotten her so quickly but I will be quite sad to see this vacation end. I am sure it will be over as quickly as it got here.

This morning we will be throwing all the baggage into our car and checking out. We will most likely leave our car parked at Pop while we venture out for the day. We have a very special breakfast at O'hana planned with Bill and Tracy!! After all, this is Tracy's birthday!!!!

After what I am sure will be a long breakfast, we will head out for our last visit to MK. We have 3 FP for this day... although I might end up switching these around as that day gets closer. We plan on starting with out FP to Tomorrowland Speedway. I know this is not a big deal for most, but I am betting Gavin will LOVE it! After that we have a little time before we head off to Peter Pan. Our final FP is Under the Sea. I am sure there will be some other rides on this day but I have no idea what they will be.

Finally, we will have our last TS dinner. Just as we started the trip with BOG lunch, we will be ending our trip at BOG too. We will have dinner and most likely be headed back to pop to get into our car and drive 17+ hours back to PA.

To be honest, this is the only part of our plans that scare me. We are going to have a LONG day and then start and VERY LONG drive home. If you recall we were not to check out till the following morning. This meant we would have left fairly fresh. When our free dining did not come through and we needed to cut many corners, this was one of the first things to go. Now, I am not sure it was the best thing but there is no way that any of us want to miss BOG and our last special dinner. So, we will tough it out and do the best we can. If you are the praying type, please pray for our safe journey.

On a side note, I will be at the big DIS meet that Kathy has planned. I had that some of you that are in the park that night will be there. Please don't think I am rude if I don't remember your name and you need to tell me who you are... I am getting old you know! :rotfl2: And what age hasn't taken from me the kids have! :rotfl:

If you see me and my crazy family around the park, don't hesitate to stop us and say Hi! :wave2: We are always excited to meet DISers!

Hope you all will follow my TR when I get back! Hopefully it will be so much fun that it last me for a Very Very Very long time... as that's when Jon tells me I can go back!

Thank you so much for following along. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Tammy, plans for your last day at WDW sound wonderful.

You start out having breakfast with your special friends, Tracy and Bill, and then heading for the Magic Kingdom, some special rides, and then a very special dinner to cap it all off.

I will definitely pray for your 17 hour ride home.

I am so glad I am finally going to meet you, Jon and the kids

In the meantime, I hope you and the family have a very Happy Thanksgiving.

I know you are going to have an amazing trip!! I can't wait to hear all about it! I will be crossing my fingers for all the pixie dust you deserve!!

I am happy to report that Tammy and family are on their way to WDW. They are already in Maryland!!!
