Seriously though , Some kind of animal was in agony last night
I was sitting here when I heard this odd sound, like something big walking on the winter pool cover then I heard something crying then I heard growling, then the crying resumed, it lasted about 5 minutes I couldnt see a thing but it sounded awful, I cant beleive it happened right under my window, I yelled out the window but that didnt stop what ever was happening.

I usually go for walks at night, now im just a little apprehensive

there was a cougar spoted a couple 100 miles from were I live
Im wondering if it was visiting my backyard

One time this happened to me and I woke up my husband and it was a fox! Can you believe it. It sounds just like a women screaming. I had no clue this noise could be that. It was scarey. The noise and the fact I was in trouble for waking up my hubby.

I'm certainly glad you didn't go out and look like all the people who wind up dead in horror movies. You know, the ones who you are yelling at "Noooo, nooo, don't open the door!!" But they do anyway and then WHAM! They're eaten by a giant ant or something.

we have foxes and coyotes around here, so I hear things out in our woods too much. Hate it , but is "the circle of life".!!!

We live in the country, but not too far out,
My aunt did mention that she thought it could be cats, It sounded worse than that I think , I still have no idea what it was there was a racoon on the porch a couple weeks ago but I dont think that was it or maybe somebody ate the racoon.
Last night on the local news a woman was talking about how she thinks her minature horse was attacked by a cougar.

Im still afaid to go outside, the only thing I used to worry about was running into a skunk.

Could just been a cat in heat. That noise is awful.
