Just wondering, how much smaller are the studio rooms? Could you tell a significant difference in the size? Are there things, like table & chairs, that aren't in these rooms? Is it smaller in the sleeping area or kitchenette/bathroom area?
Thanks a bunch!!

Value Studio is 316 sq ft as compared to about 360 for other categories; 1BR is 629 as compared to about 712 for others (that is Jambo, 1BR's at Kidani will be about 807 sq ft). Have been in both sizes. Sense you get is that Value is significantly smaller than others. Value does not have extra sleeper chair in 1BR that others have. Furnishings in value are otherwise essentially the same, which is actually one the "size" problems because much of it is bulky, fits well in the larger rooms but makes value looked quite cramped.

Here are the floor plans for a non-Value Studio on the left and a Value studio on the right. The Value is about 3 feet shorter and all of that length difference is in the living/sleeping area. The Value studios do not have room for the little storage bench that the non-Values have. It has a large drawer in it. We found that extra storage space very helpful (even for just the two of us) because the dresser drawers are quite small and don't hold much.

There were 6 of us in a 2bdrm value and had plenty of room. I guess if you haven't stayed in a standard room yet you would not really notice any difference, I felt that the smaller space was well worth the saved points. We stayed 9 nights and never felt cramped..

In May, I stayed 2 nites each in a standard view studio, followed by a value view studio and I was specifically interested in the difference in size, so I took some pictures. The biggest difference in sleeping area comes here-

Also, in the value studio (at least the one I had), the bed was next to the window, and it seemed that the room was a little narrored, maybe because the bed was a little closer to table and chairs. This picture shows it a little-

However, the views from the 2 different rooms were very comparable. Actually, I thought the view from the value was a little nicer, but I'll let you judge for yourself.

We were in a value studio for 7 nights last week, I never really noticed the difference in size until we moved to VWL and I was like "this room is huge". Not an issue for us and well worth saving the points. We were 3 adults and a child in a PnP and had lots of room.

Thanks, all, for the info.
does anybody have any pics from the value studio savannah rooms?

Thanks to all for this great info and for the pictures. I was thinking that the value rooms had a sub-standard view, like overlooking the loading dock or something. This is encouraging. We'll be interested in trying a value sometime in the future. Are they hard to get?

wow the values look great !! i would need a 2 bedroom next August so I would guess they would be hard to come by on a 7th month window??

I may try for one next Oct- wonder if that can be done at 7 mos, too?

DD9 and I will be going for 8 nights next June.

We currently have reservations at SSR in a studio, but since we will have stayed there in 7/08 and 1/09, we thought we might try for somewhere else.

Her first choice is BCV (wants to try Stormalong Bay), but I think we might try for AKVs also. We stayed in 2/08 in a 2BR Savannah View, but I was thinking we might try to save a few points and do a Value room.

I think for 2 of us it should be fine.

Hope something is available at 7 months.
